MaxxTow Anti-Rattle Clamp for 2" Trailer Hitch Receivers - 2 Bolt

I didn't think it was going to work when I first tried it, but realized that I was putting it on backwards. I knew my hitch was noisy but WOW. This thing completely stopped all the clanking and rattling. 931570

This is an awesome product and works extremely well! No rattles at all from my PWC trailer! This company has always been extremely good to buy from with my hitch, wiring harness and now this anti rattle device. 869687

I think it’s a great little invention, The only change I would make… In fact I did make that change is to change the bolts from a zinc plated to stainless steel. After all, it’s gone just sit outside all the time. But other than that, it’s perfect 919073

This is a simple yet effective device to stiffen a receiver mounted device reducing or eliminating any slight wobble. However, my GMC receiver has a welded bead around the outside (presumably to reinforce) and I have to regularly tap the device back and re-secure the bolts. This may be unique to GMC. 831042

I’m very glad I bought it. Only two things wrong with it. 1 it’s made in China. 2 if you have a drop hitch like I do, you might have to cut a notch in the bottom where the gusset hits the clamp preventing the stinger from going in far enough to insert the hitch pin. Other than those two things it works great. My hitch has NEVER been quieter and stable. Very satisfied with the results. 517476

Got this for use with etrailers motorcycle carrier.If you'll be carrying heavy items this is a must.Quiets and helps stabilize whatever you're carrying.For lighter loads the Draw tite anti rattle and cover works well enough.I got both for the conveince. 783601

Put it on the shelf fro your newer anti-rattle device whihc works well. I had the same issues as most with the bolts walking and not getting it tight enough to stay in place.

Your product has a couple of structural defects: 1. With the bolts on the bottom, when the vehicle goes through a dip in the road, the bottom of the bolts grinds on the road. Your bolts are too long. 2. With the bolts on the bottom, when I went through a dip in the road and they scraped the asphalt, the result was a broken weld. Having China make your product is not a good idea. 3. With the bolts on the bottom, the tips of the bolts are about 1 3/4" below the bottom of the vehicle's receiver. The bolts should be on the top. But that is not the way the setup is pictured. So I like your product's potential, but not the way it is engineered or designed. 638875

If you are interested another anti-rattle device that does not have the clearance issues and as a little different design is the RM-061.

Product is simple and effective...... performs as described. Only consideration is if there is a substantial "bead" of weld at the end of the receiver tube since this is where the bolts will bite into when tightened and if the bead is large enough, it presents a rounded surface rather than a flat one for the bolts to bite into potentially causing a "walking" situation. 502384

Did have to finally grind the landing zones for the tightening bolts flat, but its in place and performs well. Ends that nasty rattling!

Looks like a good product but it did not fit on my 2018 Jeep Compass. Could not install it with bolt side down because the part of the Jeeps hitch where you attach safety chains to where too close to the receiver opening. I could only install it with bolts on top, but even then, it could fit over the receiver very well. The bolts were on the outer lip of the receiver and gauged the lip pretty good because it has a rounded lip instead of a flat lip. Not happy about that, but it did prevent rattling for the trip however, it looked like it was about to fall off. I ordered something else and will not use this one on my vehicle again. 582051

My hitch has a lip on the edge that makes it impossible to guarantee it will not vibrate off. The bolts tighten onto the lip instead of behind it, where it would work best to keep it from vibrating anywhere. Depending on the trip distance and trailer load weight it sometimes remains in place the entire time. Until I find a better one I will keep using this. 696512

The welds broke the first time I used it. Unfortunately, I didn't use it right away, so the 90 day manufacturer warranty expired, so customer service basically said I was out of luck. I followed all the rules, I wasn't towing anything, I didn't overload it, it just broke when we were traveling down the road. Very disappointing, but I am thankful that at least we made it home safely and didn't hurt anyone. Safe traveling! 767298

I have a double hitch installed on my Class C motorhome for my bike rack and my Blue Ox to tow the car. I installed 2 of these and they completely eliminated all the movement in the assembly. I am verry happy with the Product. It take a bit to get used to it on mounting it to the welded ring on the hitch to keep it from sliding off. Ones installed, it will keep the Bike Racke from ratteling. 471702
