The RockyMounts MonoRail platform-style rack lets you easily carry 2 bikes using your 2" hitch. Ratcheting arms and adjustable wheel straps secure your bikes without contacting the frame. A front-mounted release lever allows you to tilt the rack down and gain access to your vehicle's rear cargo area, or it can fold the rack up for a simple storage solution. The included hitch lock secures the rack to your vehicle, and an integrated cable lock secures your bikes to the rack.

Wheel-Mount Design for Easy Bike Loading

RockyMounts MonoRail 2 Bike Ratcheting Arms

The rack allows you to quickly and easily load and carry 2 bikes on the back of your vehicle. The ratcheting arms securely hold your bikes by the front wheels so there's no frame contact. Simply push the button on the hook and slide it firmly into place over the front wheel. The wheel hooks are coated for grip and work with tire diameters up to 29".

Pivoting Rear Wheel Cradles with Ratcheting Wheel Straps

RockyMounts 11415 MonoRail 2 Bike Rack Wheel Straps

The pivoting rear-wheel cradle allows the rack to accommodate bikes with wheel bases up to 48" long. The cradles include ratcheting, rubber straps to hold your bike's rear wheels securely in place on the tray.

RockyMounts MonoRail 2 Bike Rack with Fat Bike Straps

The MonoRail also comes with a wheel strap extensions that attach to the standard ratcheting straps to increase the usable length and secure wider tires. This allows the cradles to hold fat bike tires up to 5" wide.

Adjustable Bike Trays

RockyMounts MonoRail Adjustable Bike Trays

The front and back trays adjust 3" side-to-side to ensure you have enough space when loading your bikes. Just remove the bolts where the tray attaches to the bottom of the rack, slide the trays left or right to achieve the desired spacing, and then reinstall the bolts. This will prevent your bikes' handlebars from becoming tangled, and it eliminates the fear of bike-to-bike contact during transport.

Front-Mounted Release Lever for Easy Tilting

RockyMounts 11415 MonoRail 2 Bike Rack Tilt Access

The front-mounted release lever allows you to easily tilt the MonoRail. The rack tilts down with or without your bikes loaded for convenient access to your vehicle's rear cargo area

RockyMounts MonoRail 2 Bike Rack Folded Storage

The lever also lets you fold the rack up for storage when you're not transporting the bikes. This is great for parking in places where space is limited such as a parking garage.

Easy Installation with Threaded Hitch Pin

RockyMounts MonoRail Hitch Mount Bike Rack

The MonoRail installs quickly and easily with a threaded, anti-rattle hitch pin. Simply slide the shank into your 2" hitch receiver, insert the threaded hitch pin, and tighten it down with the included tool. This will reduce noise and movement while the rack is installed.

Complete Security

RockyMount MonoRail Built-In Cable Lock

The rack comes with a hitch lock and a cable lock to deter theft of both the rack and your bikes. The cable lock wraps around your bikes' frames and secures to the rack with the included lock core.

RockyMounts MonoRail Hitch Lock

The hitch lock simply snaps onto the hitch pin and locks in place. The cable and hitch lock are keyed alike, so you'll only need 1 key for both locks.

Optional 1-Bike Add-On

RockyMounts MonoRail Add-On 1-Bike Extension

There is an optional 1-bike add-on available (sold separately) for the RockyMount MonoRail that will allow you to convert it from a 2 bike carrier to a 3-bike carrier. This is great for occasions when an extra friend wants to tag along.

This thing is rock solid. Once I figured out the directions and put it on my 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee is was so impressed with how stable it was. With two hybrid bikes on the platform rack it didn't even wiggle in the slightest! The only negative comment I can make was in lack of information in the directions. I had the platforms backwards and didn't know it until I tried to fold the rack completely up. I reviewed the directions again and no mention or illustration is available. However the fix wasn't that hard and it now functions exactly like the videos. Customer service from etrailer was remarkable though both times I called I thought the wait time was a little long. I would recommend this product and this retailer to anyone. Great service, great product!

- RKY10004

Easy assembly. Since this is made here in Colorado (USA), the assembly tools provided actually fit the bolts and work as intended. My only issue is even with bikes off the rack you can not open the tail gate on a jeep. Will need to completely remove rack from hitch to do so. Bike mounting is easy although the supplied locks feel a little flimsy.

- RKY10004

It was very easy to assemble the MonoRail 2. All of the parts were in the box and nothing was damaged. I would recommend etrailer to purchase from as they were the only ones to have this bike rack. Also I would recommend the MonoRail as well.

- RKY10004

Looked at many platform-style racks for my fat tire ebike. It came down to the Thule T2 Classic and the RockyMounts MonoRail. Designs are identical, with the only major difference is that the T2 has integral locks and the MonoRail uses a cable. Lock cylinders are about $30 extra for the T2, so the MonoRail is about $80 cheaper. So far the build quality appears excellent. The only thing I would suggest is that the MonoRail should include single longer wheel strap instead of the strap extender for fat tire bikes.

- RKY10004

The hitch went on well. Both bikes fit and are secure. Great follow up from etrailer.

- RKY10004

Easy to assemble nice quality. Bikes are very solid on rack.

- RKY10004

Awesome product. Easy to assemble and install in hitch.

Hitch is awesome and great quality

I was looking for a good two-bike platform rack for my SUV. I've used a couple other racks . . . one was an economy brand and the other an expensive Thule brand. But after spending a fair amount of time viewing etrailer's videos and descriptions I decided on the Rocky Mount Monorail. I received it yesterday. Assembly was quick and easy. The quality of the parts was excellent. The size, weight and profile fit the Goldilocks standard, of not being too big, or too small. It was just right! The accessible Blue pull lever makes loading and adjusting very convenient. Haven't yet traveled very far with the rack yet but based on overall design and quality I'm expecting it to be 'better than expected'

Every part of it has worked perfectly. Took it on a 3000 mile vacation with 2 bikes . . . perfect!

Very well made. Much easier to load bikes than the hanging rack we used before.

- RKY10004

I've had this rack for a year now - this was one of my best investments. This rack is sturdy, well-built and has held up to many travels we've taken out of state. I have no problems with bikes moving during the miles we've driven and would purchase this rack again. While the platform style may be a little more investment, a worthwhile purchase. It gives me peace of mind that bikes aren't just hanging on tubes - read too many stories where they gave way and bikes ended up in the road. That won't be the case here :). While it does come with a locking cable, I bought an extra cable that is long enough to feed thru the hitch and thru both bikes - just another peace of mind when we're having to leave them on the car. All in all - you will not be disappointed with this rack. Def worth the buying.

- RKY10004

Well built, solid bike rack. Like the additional strap extensions for fat bikes. Holds bike well. Only minor issue was that instructions did not reference the rear wheel straps, but easy to figure out. I like that the rack tilt allows access to the rear hatch of my Subaru Forester.

working out great. Had issue with partial melt of one of the shepards hook melting due to proximity to my car exhaust. Able to get new part from manufacturer, repositioned hook, and all has been well since

I ordered a tilting Rocky Mount bike rack from etrailer.com. After receiving notification of the ship date of the bike rack, I realized that the product wasn’t going to arrive until after a bike trip I had planned, I spoke to Jenny, a representative from etrailer.com. She worked with me in selecting another model that would be available and arrive in time for my trip. I am impressed by the professionalism and service excellence I received from my phone experience at etrailer.com.

- RKY10004

After recently purchasing ebikes I needed a rack that could handle the weight. This rack will be convenient for local use but it was particularly attractive to me because I can easily remove the monorails and mount them to a tailgate style rack on the back of our 5th wheel camper when we travel.

- RKY10004

I bought this rack for transporting my full suspension mountain bike and gravel bike on the back of my 2016 subaru outback. The rack itself so far is great - I spent a while researching different systems, and the Rocky Mounts MonoRail had the best value for features of all racks I looked at. The tilt feature is great, and the loading/offloading is easy. The integrated locks for the rack and your bikes are a great feature, although the cable would not stop a determined thief with tools. Bikes are relatively stable in the cradles on highways, minimal movement on gravel roads. One complaint is that the entire rack is not very snug in the 2" hitch installed on my vehicle. There is a noticeable bob and sway on the entire loaded unit on bumpy roads. Ideally, I would add shims. Finally, this unit does block ~60% of my backup camera, which just means you have to be careful and use the old school method of turning around to look before backing up.

- RKY10004

Well made hitch. Easy to install. It took me less than an hour including watching the install video twice. I did not have to jack up the vehicle although that would have made it a bit easier. Using it with a RockyMounts Monorail bike rack to carry 2 48 lb. e-bikes.

- RKY10004

Exceptionally solid hitch mount / tray platform type bicycle carrier. I The instructions were very clear and complete - with one exception of the the tray straps and strap extenders (not shown/mentioned). Some basic assembly was required - again the directions were very clear and everything need was supplied in the package. I took my time and it only took 15 minutes. The bike rack is outstanding in design, quality of materials, construction and function. It's very solid in all 3 positions (carrying bikes, laid 'down' to open the tailgate, and 'stowed' in the up/close position when not carrying bikes. I've had bike racks from other 'big name' vendors - this Rocky Mounts rack is much better, and less expensive.

- RKY10004

The rack took almost 2 months to arrive due to backorder issues. However,we were pleased with the easy assembly. We have used several times and are comfortable with the rack. We are planning a trip with our grandson and will let him help assemble the addon so we can carry his bike as well.

- RKY10004

Great bike rack and easy to fold up or tilt down. I took off 1 star for the cheapy locks. I would rather get my own secure locks and not pay for a substandard set of locks built into the rack. If not for this it would be 5 stars.

- RKY10004

Wanted to give a follow-up after some use of the rack. It served very well on our trip, meeting all of the expectations I had. It was easy to assembly, easy to install and the tilt down feature works great when loading the e-bikes, which weigh 56 lbs. each. I watched them on the RV's Backup Camera traveling down the highway and saw very, very minimum movement. I will for sure recommend it to anyone needing a “heavy duty” bike rack, for their RV! A SPECIAL THANK YOU TO "BRANDI" FOR THE GREA CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

- RKY10004

Excellent rack, easy to put on and remove, bikes go on quick and secure

- RKY10004

Just a great bike rack for our two fat-tire bikes. Well built and versatile, it was exactly what we were looking for.

- RKY10004

Just used the rack to take two bikes roundtrip from South Carolina to Buffalo, NY for biking the Erie Canalway Trail. It was secure and steady, easy to load, easy to move for access to rear hatch, and easy to install/remove from hitch receiver. Loved not lifting my bikes above my head to load on car roof!!

- RKY10004

This is going to be an excellent product and I'm so excited for the ease of use. Putting it together wasn't great as the instructions are quite vague, but found a YouTube video and that made it very easy. Assembled it in about 25 minutes because I put a few of the pieces on backward at first. Love the fact that it easily folds up and doesn't take up a lot of space on the back of my car. Very excited to use it!

- RKY10004

This 60 year old woman had no problem putting the device together and installing it on my car. Works great. I especially like the way it rack folds up and out of the way. The bike wobbles a little when driving, but it is securely attached to the rack. You can see this in the reviews by etrailer. It is exactly the same. The rack is attached to the car with zero rattle issues.

- RKY10004

Excellent rack, no regrets. I use this for mountain and road bikes, and it is very secure for both.

No problems, an great rack.

  • Will Rocky Mounts MonoRail Bike Rack Fit 2017 Toyota Prius v With Class I Trailer Hitch Receiver
There is a RockyMounts 2-bike rack that will work for you, the RockyMounts MonoRail 2-Bike Platform Rack - 1-1/4" Hitches # RKY10003, which is compatible with your 2017 Toyota Prius v. The reason you need to use this rack is because the only hitches that fit your '17 Prius v are Class I hitches - the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11276 and Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # 24847 - and these require the use of Class 1 compatible accessories. Platform racks are definitely the easiest bike racks to load up since you really only need to get the bike about 20-25" off the ground, so you're on the right track with the style of rack that you're looking at. I really think RockyMounts makes a solid rack at a great price, so the Monorail 2 # RKY10004 is a good choice; additionally, it comes with both a hitch lock and locks for the bikes, so you're getting added protection for your investments. The RockyMounts MonoRail 2 Bike Platform Rack # RKY10004 has quite a bit clearance to fit past the rear spare of your 2018 Jeep JL Wrangler as it has 11 inches from the center of the hitch pin to the nearest edge of the rack. You'd need to measure from the pin hole out to your rear spare edge and as long as it's less than 11 inches you'd be good.

  • Will The RockyMunts MonoRail 2 Bike Rack Allow Trunk Access On 2020 Lexus RX 350?
The RockyMounts MonoRail 2 Bike Platform Rack - 2" Hitches # RKY10004 should be able to tilt down enough for the rear door to be opened on your 2020 Lexus RX 350. We have not tested this on your vehicle so I can't say with absolute certainty, but you can see in the attached video that it does give full access to the trunk on a similarly sized SUV (You can click on the other demonstration videos we have which show the trunk being accessed on various SUV's with this rack). Most vehicles...

  • Best Trailer Hitch Receiver Bike Rack for a RadRover E-Bike on a 2015 Honda Odyssey
Between the RockyMounts Monorail, part # RKY10004 and the Malone Pilot, part # MPG2112, I would say that going with the Malone Pilot is the better choice. The Pilot is a very solid rack and I really like its bent rail styling, making loading a heavier bike just a little easier. Additionally, your bike having fenders means that most wheel mounts won't work for the bike, and out of the box the Malone Pilot is able to fit to either a frame or wheel mount, giving you flexibility with the...

  • Bike Rack Recommendation for Carrying 2 Fat-Tire e-Bikes on Travel Trailer
I sure can! Not many bike racks that can accommodate heavy e-bikes with fat tires can be used on a travel trailer, due to all the bouncing and rattling it'll be subjected to, but we do offer a carrier that would work for you. I'd recommend the Swagman E-Spec, part # S94FR. When equipped with the optional # S64679 fat bike cradles, the E-Spec can easily handle 2 63 lb e-bikes with fat tires up to 5 inches wide on your travel trailer. The # S64679 includes 2 cradles, so for 2 bikes, you'll...

  • Can RockyMounts MonoRail 2-Bike Rack Carry 2 Lectric Step Thru E-Bikes?
Yes! The RockyMounts MonoRail 2-Bike Rack # RKY10004 can carry two Lectric XP Step Thru Bikes. Just make sure to take off the battery when transporting. In fact it's always wise to remove E-bike batteries since the road vibrations and bounces on any bike rack are not good for long-term battery life. Since you have fat tires, make sure to use the included strap extender. Also, your Lectric bikes have that slight fender in the front. It's short enough to use the front wheel mount, but...

  • Can RockyMounts MonoRail 2 Carry Two Electric Bikes on 2016 Ford Edge Titanium?
Yes! The RockyMounts MonoRail 2 # RKY10004 is a great rack for your electric bikes. I actually just installed one recently on a 2020 Jeep Cherokee which I attached a video review for below if you want to see how it looks on an SUV. With a capacity of 60 lbs per bike, this can carry your 55 lb bikes. Another great feature is the option to expand to three bikes with the # RKY10005 for when you want to upgrade. I haven't test fitted this rack on a Ford Edge yet, but one thing you should...

  • Compatibility of 2-1/2 Inch Hitch Receiver with Bike Rack
The RockyMounts MonoRail 2 Bike Platform Rack - 2" Hitches - Tilting - Wheel Mount # RKY10004 will not directly fit your 2-1/2 inch hitch even with a reducer sleeve because of the threaded pin. I recommend using the Brophy Hitch Reducer and Extender - 2-1/2" to 2" Trailer Hitch - 7" Long # HR26 which will allow for the bike rack anti-rattle and security to fully function as designed. I do recommend the XL Anti-Rattle Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock for 2-1/2" Hitches - 3-1/2" Span # SHP2040-XL

  • Need a Bike Rack for a Travel Trailer
The RockyMounts MonoRail Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Wheel Mount, # RKY10004 is not rated for RV use. Having the proper rating is important to ensure the rack can hold up against the force exerted on it while being mounted to the back of the trailer. There is greater side to side movement placed on a bike rack that is mounted to the back of a trailer than mounted on an automobile. The rating indicates that the bike rack has been tested and approved for that increased torque that...

  • Comparing RockyMounts MonoRail And SplitRail 2-Bike Carriers
The RockyMounts MonoRail Bike Rack for 2 Bikes # RKY10004 and RockyMounts SplitRail LS Bike Rack for 2 Bikes # RKY11404 are very similar and both do a great job of securing two bikes. I personally like the MonoRail more since it can hold up to 5" wide tires and is lightweight at only 38lbs, whereas the SplitRail can only hold up to 3" wide tires and weighs slightly more at 44lbs. The weight capacity for each carrier is 60lbs per bike. For a comparable USA-made bike rack, I recommend...
