Pivoting Upright Arms with Adjustable Bridges

RockyMounts GuideRail pivoting upright arms

The GuideRail has pivoting upright arms that grab your bikes firmly by the wheel, so it won't scratch or scuff the paint. These upright arms allow you to rapidly load and unload your bikes. Simply set your bikes onto the trays and pivot the upright arms against the tires. Ratchets hold the arms in place, so once you squeeze the arms against the wheels there's nothing left to do.

RockyMounts GuideRail pivoting upright arms

To unload your bikes, you can either flip the blue levers up or press them in to release the ratchets and raise the arms up. Flip the levers back down to re-engage the ratchets.

RockyMounts GuideRail pivoting upright arms

Each arm has 4 slots to accommodate 20" - 24", 24" - 26", 26" - 27.5", and 27.5" - 29" bike tire sizes. To adjust each arm to fit your wheel size, remove the blue bolt, slide the bridge to the desired tire size, and re-insert the bolt.

Grooved Wheel Trays

RockyMounts GuideRail wheel tray

The GuideRail doesn't have wheel cradles like many platform bike racks. Instead, it has wheel trays with grooves that accommodate a wide range of tire sizes from narrow 18c road bikes up to 3.0" wide mountain bikes. Because the grooves run the length of the trays, you can position your bikes exactly where you want them, rather than in a fixed location. This allows you to optimize bike spacing so your bikes don't bump into each other.

Front-Mounted Handle for Easy Tilting and Folding

RockyMounts GuideRail front-mounted hand leverRockyMounts GuideRail cable locks

The rack tilts down with your bikes loaded. So, whether you're at the trail or the grocery store, you don't have to remove your bikes to access your cargo area. It also folds up when not in use. This leaves a smaller footprint, so you can keep the rack on your vehicle to park in your garage. And if you want to remove it, it doesn't take up as much space to store it.

RockyMounts GuideRail folded away from vehicle

To make tilting and folding easier, the GuideRail's release lever is mounted on the front of the rack. This means you won't have to reach through or around your bikes with one hand to reach the lever, while supporting the rack's weight with the other, when lowering the rack. Instead, you'll be able to hold the rack with both hands the entire time.

Complete Security

RockyMounts Guiderail locking hitch pincable locks

The rack includes a threaded hitch pin that helps eliminate rattle in the hitch receiver during transport. A lock on the hitch pin secures the rack to your vehicle. It also includes a nylon-covered, square-link chain that secures your bikes to the rack. The chain threads around your bike's frames, through a loop on the end, and locks into the hidden core on the front of the rack. The locks are keyed alike, so you only need to use 1 key.

Easy set up, Quik bike attachment and release , looks good , quality looks good

I love this thing! Great fit and finish, the ratchets and latches are really easy to use but do a great job holding the bike on.

The bike rack is a quality product regarding the construction and thoughtful features. I was glad to once again experience etrailer's excellent customer service due its professional and knowledgeable staff.

Fast delivery, very nicely packaged and easily assembled. Solid mounting and bikes are secure. Will update if anything change's.

Less than 10 minutes to install. Great design and functionality. Lock chain is awesome. Elevates rack off of ground at an angle so works great on my Honda CRV.

  • Will RockyMounts GuideRail Allow Opening of 2021 Ford Bronco Sport Tailgate When Tilted
Yes, you will be able to open the rear hatch all the way on your 2021 Ford Bronco Sport when using the RockyMounts GuideRail # RKY97ZR. There is enough clearance when the rack is in the tilted position that the bikes won't be in the way of the liftgate.

  • Height of RockyMounts GuideRail Bike Rack When Folded Up
RockyMounts didn't have the height to the first tray, but when completely folded up, the height of the RockyMounts GuideRail Bike Rack # RKY97ZR from the top of your hitch to the very top of the bike rack is 23-1/4 inches.

  • Will RockyMounts GuideRail Allow Tailgate of 2021 Ford F-150 to Fold Down
Since we have had chance to test fit the RockyMounts GuideRail part # RKY97ZR on a 2022 Ram 1500 Classic and a 2022 Toyota Tundra and we found that the rack easily allowed the tailgate to fold down when the rack was tilted we can confidently say it would allow the same on your 2021 Ford F-150. Unless your bike has abnormally wide handlebars there's no reason it wouldn't work.

  • Wheel and Tire Sizes Compatible With The RockyMounts GuideRail Bike Rack
The RockyMounts GuideRail Bike Rack # RKY97ZR is capable of holding bikes with tires up to 3" wide and a wheel diameter of 20-29". It can hold 2 bikes up to 60lbs per bike and a maximum wheel base of 55". You will not need an adapter to use this rack with any tires that fit inside these wheel dimensions.

  • Best Hitch Mounted Bike Rack for Carbon Fiber 20 Inch BMX Racing Frame
The RockyMounts GuideRail Bike Rack for 2 Bikes # RKY97ZR is an excellent option for a BMX bike with a carbon fiber frame. The wheel hooks will hold your bike securely with no frame contact. This rack comes with the locks integrated.

  • Will RockyMounts GuideRail Bike Rack Work with Aventon Bike with Fenders
I do have an option for you but the RockyMounts GuideRail Bike Rack part # RKY97ZR is a wheel mount rack so it won't work with your Aventon Level 2 Step Thru and Specialized Como Step Thru as they both have fenders and you can't use a wheel mount rack on a bike with fenders, generally speaking. Instead, I recommend the Thule EasyFold XT Bike Rack part # TH903202 which is common among Aventon owner's. It has ramps for easy loading, wheels for greater maneuverability, and locks for security.

  • Bike Rack Recommendation for 52 lb E-Bikes
The weight capacity of the Swagman you referenced is 45 lbs per bike so since your bikes weigh 52 lbs you'd need a rack with more capacity like the RockyMounts GuideRail # RKY97ZR which has a 60 lb per bike weight capacity.

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch for a 2017 Volvo V60
The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver part # e77KR is what I recommend for a 2017 Volvo V60. It features a bolt-on install without any drilling required but it does require removal of the bumper which is unfortunately, unavoidable. That said, it's really not too bad but if you don't feel comfortable you can use our installer locator tool under the photos and videos on the product page. The trailer hitch then has a 2" receiver which is great for towing or hitch mounted accessories like bike...

  • Recommended Bike Rack for a Carbon Frame Bike and an E-Bike w/ Fenders
I have a solution for you but I wouldn't use the RockyMounts GuideRail Bike Rack item # RKY97ZR on a bike with fenders unless they stop well before the 12 o'clock position of your wheels. Instead I recommend the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack item # HLY84FR and then you'll want to use the Bike Frame Adapter Bar item # HRBA-PRO with your carbon frame bike. The Sport Rider SE item # HLY84FR is a frame mounted bike rack that will eliminate any concern you have about damaging your...

  • Best Trailer Hitch Receiver For 2023 Toyota Venza For Bike Rack
Absolutely, and the best trailer hitch receiver for your 2023 Toyota Venza is going to be either the Curt or etrailer hitch. I mention both because they are the same hitch, just with different finishes - the Curt has a glossy finish while the etrailer has a matte black finish. The reason to go with one of these is because they have the best ground and bumper clearance, keeping your rack higher up off the ground and away from your Venza. The correct part numbers for the hitches that fit...
