Pivoting Arms with Ratcheting Hooks

Thule T2 Pro X ratcheting wheel hooks

The T2 Pro X has ratcheting hooks that grab your bikes firmly by the front wheel, so it won't scratch or scuff the paint. To load a bike, simply place your front wheel in the cradle, rotate the arm up and over the wheel, and press down firmly on the ratcheting hook. To unload your bike, press the gray button on the upright arm to release the ratcheting hook, and slide the hook up.

Sliding Rear Wheel Cradles

Thule T2 Pro X sliding wheel trays

The wheel trays have cradles with ratcheting straps to secure your rear wheel to the rack. The cradles slide along the tray to accommodate bikes with a variety of wheelbases. To secure your wheel, run the strap over the rim and back down through the strap buckle and pull tight. To remove your bike, press the quick-release button on the buckle and undo the strap.

Front-Mounted Handle for Easy Tilting and Folding

Thule T2 Pro X folding and tiliting designThule T2 Pro X cable locks

The rack tilts down with your bikes loaded. So, whether you're at the trail or the grocery store, you don't have to remove your bikes to access your cargo area. It also folds up when not in use. This leaves a smaller footprint, so you can keep the rack on your vehicle to park in your garage. And if you want to remove it, it doesn't take up as much space to store it.

Thule T2 Pro X folding and tiliting design

To make tilting and folding easier, the T2 Pro X's release lever is mounted on the front of the rack. This means you won't have to reach through or around your bikes with one hand to reach the lever, while supporting the rack's weight with the other, when lowering the rack. Instead, you'll be able to hold the rack with both hands the entire time.

Tool-Free Installation with Anti-Rattle Device

Thule T2 Pro X cable locksThule T2 Pro X cable locks

The rack quickly installs in your hitch receiver, without the need for tools. Just slide the shank into your hitch and turn the knob until snug. Turning the knob deploys an anti-rattle wedge in the shank to help take play out of the hitch connection. It also sets the integrated SnugTite hitch pin into place, securing the rack to your receiver.

Thule T2 Pro X reflectors

The lock on the hand knob secures the rack to your vehicle. Once locked, the hand knob will spin freely so a would-be thief can't operate it to remove the rack from your hitch. Thule One Key System locks (sold separately) can be used to secure your bikes to the rack. Additional cores let you make all your Thule products keyed alike.

High quality. Love the easy access handle for tilting up and down. Tightens into receiver hitch, keeping the bikes very stable. It comes with one lock for the receiver hitch. Wish there were two more, one for each bike. The mechanism is there, but no locks.

  • Can I Use The Thule T2 Pro XT On A 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser
Yes, the Thule T2 Pro XT can work on your 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser. Unfortunately, you will have to get an additional item for it to work. You will need to add a hitch extender to use this hitch bike rack. I recommend the RockyMounts Hitch Extender w/ Hitch Pin and Lock - 2" Hitches - 8" Long, part # RKY10008. It will adds 8" of length of your trailer hitch receiver. But keep in mind, whenever you add a hitch extender, you reduce the maximum tongue weight and the maximum gross trailer weight...

The Yakima BackSwing Swing Away Hitch Extender for Bike Racks - 2 inch Hitches # Y02483 has a weight capacity of 250 pounds and can carry up to 4 bikes. Using this pivoting hitch extender lets you swing your existing bike rack 90 degrees away for the rear of your vehicle. The Thule Pro X...

For your application I recommend checking out the Replacement Shank for Gen-Y Adjustable Ball Mount # 325-GH-204. This fits a 2" hitch and allows you to use 1 receiver for towing your trailer and then you can mount your Thule T2 Pro X Bike Rack # TH83GC in the taller receiver. Please note this will only be a viable solution if you don't have anything tall on the tongue of your trailer - like a jack. You can check to see if your bike rack will hit anything on your trailer by measuring from...

Yes, we do offer replacement keys for Thule bike racks but prior to ordering you will need to identify the key number from your remaining key or from the lock core on your T2. For example if your key number is N2874 the replacement key you will need is the # THKEYN2874. If you have a different key number you will need to enter the replacement key number in the search box. If you're not able to decipher the number on your key or lock core, you will need to replace the locks with part...

The installation of the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e28AR on a 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe will be the same whether it's a hybrid or not. We actually did our installation video on a 2021 Santa Fe Hybrid that I'm linking for you to check out. When we mention some trimming may be required that has to do with how far down the rear bumper fascia sits. Some models may sit slightly lower but in our video on a 2021 Hybrid we didn't have to cut the fascia so odds are you're good to go! If you...

  • Recommended bike Rack For Heavy E-Bikes On A 2022 Subaru Forester
The Thule T2 Pro X Bike Rack for 2 Bikes # TH83GC would be a fit for your 2022 Subaru Forester's 2" receiver tube, but it only has a 50lb per bike capacity. With most e-bikes being around 60-80lbs you might have a hard time transitioning to an e-bike without having to purchase another bike rack. Instead I recommend the Hollywood Racks RV Rider Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes # HLY64FR. This bike rack has an 80lb per bike capacity and wheel hoops that are designed to fit tire widths up...

  • Will Thule T2 Pro X or Another Platform Bike Rack Fit a 2011 Lexus RX 350
The Thule T2 Classic # TH9044-TH9046 will clear the rear of your 2011 Lexus RX 350 when down in the carrying position. But when folded up it will likely not fit. It measures 4-1/2 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the closest rail when folded. This is not enough to clear the bumper on your RX 350. I found that the hitches we have installed on this vehicle measure between 4-1/2 and 5-1/2 inches from the center of the pin hole back to clear the bumper. For an option that will...

It will depend a little bit on the design of the individual truck, however the tilt-away feature of the Thule T2 Pro Xbike rack, part # TH83GC gives it quite a bit of range away from most vehicles but I can't guarantee it will clear your tailgate. I've included a video review of of this rack for you to see how the tilt-away works. • Expansion Kits for Thule T2 Pro X Platform Style Hitch Racks
There are multiple versions of the Thule T2 platform style hitch bike racks. If you have the Thule T2 Pro X # TH83GC then this cannot be installed onto another # TH83GC. In this rack you need to use the special lightweight expansion piece # TH55GC which is much lighter than the actual weight of rack so it is too heavy for use as an extension. In general bike rack add-on expansion kits will use light construction than their similar but independent rack counterparts.

  • Can 2 Bike Add-On Be Used With T2 Pro X for 1-1/4 Hitches?
The reason the 2 Bike Add-On # TH55GC is recommended only for the T2 Pro X for 2" Hitches # TH83GC is because of the differences between Class I, II, and III hitches. Class I 1-1/4" hitches can only hold up to 2 bikes. Not so much because of the weight capacity but more because of the angle and leverage issues of more than two bikes. The add-on is designed for the 2" version # TH83GC and not the 1-1/4" version # TH23GC to prevent people from accidentally loading their Class I hitch with...
