Dual Folding Arms with Anti-Sway Cradles
The Thule Camber has dual arms that provide excellent support for your bikes. They slope up to provide ground clearance for steep driveways and bumpy roads.
To fold the arms down, pull up the HitchSwitch lever at the top of the mast. This leaves a smaller footprint, so you can keep the rack on your vehicle to park in your garage. And when stored in this configuration, it doesn't take up as much space in your garage.
HideAway anti-sway cradles with rubber straps hold your bikes firmly in place. Each set of cradles has two straps that secure your bike along the top tube and one that secures the seat post or downtube. This multi-point contact helps keep your bikes from rocking back and forth, reducing bike-to-bike contact. The soft rubber cradles rotate around the rack's arms to accommodate bikes of different styles and shapes.
The cradles have grooves on the surface that prevent your brake and shifter cables from getting pinched.
Ratchet straps hold your bikes firmly in place on the cradles. You can remove the lower straps and fold the cradles up against the arms to make it easier to slide your bikes onto the rack.
HitchSwitch Lever for Easy Tilting
The rack tilts down without your bikes loaded. This means you won't have to remove the whole rack to access your cargo area for grocery runs and other errands.
To tilt the rack down, pull up HitchSwitch lever at the base of the mast. When you're ready to go, lift the rack up until it snaps into place with an audible click.
The rack includes a threaded hitch pin that helps eliminate rattle in the hitch receiver during transport.
You can install the rack in a 1-1/4" hitch or in a 2" hitch. To use it in a 1-1/4" hitch, simply remove the adapter with the included Allen key.
Available Security and Adapter Bar
A cable lock and hitch lock (sold separately) are available to secure your bikes to the rack and the rack to your vehicle. Additionally, One-Key System locks (sold separately) let you make all your Thule products keyed alike.
If you have a women's bike, kid's bike, or any other bike without a straight, horizontal top tube, you will need an adapter bar (sold separately) to properly mount your bike. The bar fits between the seat post and handlebar stem post of your bike to create a top tube so your bike hangs level on the rack.

I love the bike rack itself. Works great for holding my bike. It is heavy for me to load and unload though, as I have to take it off to fit my car in the garage. I also do not like the straps that hold the bike on. You would think they could come up with something better!
Installed on 2023 Toyota Tacoma. I like how compact it is when not in use, and it can fold down to allow the tailgate to open fully. My only complaints are (1) need to purchase the locking pin separately (it should come with the unit at this price point) and (2) the straps that hold the bikes in place are difficult to use. I struggle to undo them. Overall, pleased with my purchase.

Still working strong! I have had no issues, big or small with bike rack. Easy load and unload. Bikes are secure whether taking short or long trips. No problem with rubber straps. Still hold bikes securely. Most importantly, rack doesn’t obscure my sight lines.
One year later: working very well. One star off for a bit of squeaking when there's no bike on it - but a half-star off would be more fair. Fits my fat-tire-bike + regular mountain bike, though the fat tire makes it crowded. Very happy with the purchase and would get it again.
Not happy with it yet. hard to secure a full suspension mountain bike. Trying a different way to place my bike on the rack.

You mentioned that you were having difficulty with attaching the full suspension mountain bike. I would like to see if I can help and I have a few questions that I would like to ask. Can you send a picture of your bike. Have you tried using a bike adapter bar?

I believe that it would be beneficial to look at using a bike adapter bar with the bike. The bike adapter bar connects from under the handle bar to under the bike seat. As in the picture below. If you can measure that distance then I can see which adapter bar would work best for you.

I'm still loving my bike rack after one year! It's so easy to maneuver up and down when I need to use the hatch to access the back of my Jeep. I've become an expert (with practice) of getting my bicycle steadfastly secured using the straps that are provided. I've owned 3 bike racks in my lifetime and this one is by far the highest quality one. I'm very satisfied! You will be also.
Packing could be better, item was bouncing around the box and hardware was loose.
I don't think anything was lost, won't know for sure until it's put together.
This Thule Camber 2 bike rack is ery sturdy and reliable, everything that I hoped for - thanks!
Solid as a Thule is. Unfortunately it doesn't tilt down enough to open my Wrangler but we'll make it work.

I haver transported my 2 bikes hundreds of miles with this Thule carrier with no problems or worries. Best feature is the two release mechanisms: One lowers the bike support arm into a vertical position for compactness; the other lowers the entire carrier (with or without a bike attached) so that the tailgate of your vehicle can be opened without hitting the rack. The latches work, feel, and sound solid. So much easier than the steel pins I had to remove / reinsert on my old rack. Only minor issue is the securing strap that is supposed to wrap around the down tube of your bike frame; for my bikes this strap is too far away from the down tube to be of much utility. But the 2 main straps that secure the bike to the carrier via the top (horizontal) tube (or a bike frame adapter like Hollywood Racks if you are using one) work just fine. Heavy steel construction, beautifully welded and assembled.
I didn't realize this thing is really built well, it's heavy and all materal is thick and sturdy. My only concern is my reciever is 2 1/8th inch square, the filler is exactly 2 inch which does leave some up and down movement. I suppose I could shim it, but not sure if that will stay. Otherwise this is a built like battleship bike rack for transporting bikes.
Overall excellent product and better customer service. Thank you for the follow up. I have already referred some of my friends to you. The multiple pictures and videos and extensive specs make a huge difference in decision making.

Great! Absolutely made the right decision. I like I can take it off quickly with one bolt if I want to go through a carwash. Perfect for a 1 or 2 person household.
Functioned perfectly, only problem was 2 rubber straps broke , other than that nice product.

For a rack that is about 10 pounds lighter I recommend taking a look at part # TH9042PRO. The straps will be very similar though.
