Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com and today we're gonna take a look at this Florida Gator's two inch hitch cover. Now a cover like this is going to serve at least two purposes for you. First, you can show your Gator's pride, while at the same time, keeping your hitch receiver free and clear of any kind of rust and dirt buildup. Frequently, whenever you leave your hitch receiver open, it can build up with rust and debris that will make it a little more difficult to insert your accessories, such as your bike rack. So by having this hitch cover installed, you're going to be keeping your receiver clean while showing your pride in being a Gators fan, with this officially licensed product.
Now the chrome plated metal emblem is rustproof and fade proof, and it stands out, as you can see here, on this black powder-coated metal hitch cover. And as I mentioned, this is going to fit your two inch trailer hitch receivers. And if you notice, there is this foam gasket here that's going to prevent rattling when you have this installed on the inside of your trailer hitch receiver. This is gonna be a quick installation. The cover's gonna easily slide in to your two inch hitch and it does require a pin and clip, or a hitch flock, which is sold separately.
And I do wanna give you a few recommendations. If you don't already have a compatible pin and clip, I'm putting an option there on your screen for you, with the item number. But since this is a more premium hitch cover, I would recommend taking a look at our etrailer trailer hitch receiver lock for two inch hitches. And you can see that, there on the screen. You can just take the item numbers that you see there, put it in the search field of our website here at etrailer.com, and it'll take you to those products.
But I would recommend going with the lock, just to secure this to your hitch. And you're not gonna have to worry about someone else coming by and taking this off of your vehicle while it is unattended. Let me give you a few measurements, just so you have an idea of the size. Overall, the width, we are sitting right at five inches. In the overall height, we are sitting pretty close to three and a half inches.
And then measuring from the back of the cover to the center of our hitchpin hole, we are sitting right at about two and three-eighths inches. So overall, this is a very durable, feels very solid, hitch cover. And if you're a Gator's fan and this matches the specs that you're looking for, I think this will be a great option for you to consider. Well, that's gonna conclude our look today. Before I took it out of the box, I could tell that this was a high quality product. The colors are bright and the fit is perfect. The foam seal to keep water out of the hitch was an unexpected nice touch. It looks great on my truck.
Be advised, it does not come with any kind of retaining device, you will need a hitch pin to keep it in place. I purchased a locking pin because something as nice as this would probably get stolen.

Did a lot of research on this product and it came through with flying colors. I ordered this product and one other from another site. This cover was superior in thickness size and chrome. Also the pin opening is large enough for standard 4" pins. If you are considering this product I suggest you don't wait. As for the company, great service. I was contacted shortly after the purchase, tracked the item and was contact about satisfaction after delivery. Outstanding. Will not return item but with their attention to detail I am sure if there were anything of issue the company would be on top of it. Thank you I will be ordering from you again.

This was not checked for quality prior to shipping from the manufactor or the seller. My logo is off center at the bottomand over to the passenager side. Also my logo is crooked tilting up toward the passenager side. Tried calling customer service but the line has not been manned since I recieved this product. Overall a disappointing experience.

Thanks for your message and following up a year later! I have purchased two of these hitch covers for both of our cars. I'll attach pictures. I believe the first one I bought was 2 years ago and the second was a year ago. The two year old cover has shown a great deal of rust and deterioration over those two years. The other one is in much better shape but I would expect the same to happen over this next year.
I do live in Pittsburgh, a very rainy and humid climate for most of the year. Obviously in winter months, we get a lot of snow and ice with the roadways covered with salt. I'm sure those factors contribute to the rusting of this product.
I'll be happy to log in and make a review post similar to above if you would like me to. I have been a happy customer of yours with a few of these similar products.
