Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this CURT two inch Rubber Tube Cover. Now, as you probably know, a hitch cover adds a clean, finished look to your hitch, and they also keep dirt and grime out of your receiver tube. And that's going to help keep your receiver tube safe from rust and corrosion, so that the next time you're ready to use a ball mount or a hitch mounted accessory, you're not grinding against rust and corrosion that has potentially built up inside of the receiver tube of your trailer hitch. So this is really gonna prevent that from taking place.
This is made of a durable rubber construction. And it features a weather resistant design, which keeps it safe from the elements. It doesn't require a hitch pin or a hitch lock to hold it into place. It's simply going to fit right into the receiver tube opening, and the tight fit is going to keep it in place, and it's gonna keep it from accidentally slipping out. Now, as I mentioned, this is designed to fit your two inch trailer hitch receiver.
The face of the unit is a square design. And just to give you the measurement of the face, as you can see, we are sitting right at three and one eighth inches. By the same measurement, three and one eighth inches. And installation is gonna be very easy. You'll notice that along the sides, we have these raised ridges, and that's gonna go into the hitch.

Super easy to install. It took 20 minutes. My only issue was finding a 1/2in hex bit socket to shoot the large top bolt. It's not a common size. Once that obstacle was overcome, installation was a snap.
My bike rack and trailer are secure and safe on the hitch. I'm happy with my purchase.
The hitch appeared to be just short of reaching both frame attach points and although it tightened down fine it could have been a bit wider. Bits of paint missing here and there but overall it went on fine. However, Hyundai is in the process of recalling autos with hitches due to a fire hazard with the control module. I don't intend to mount the wire harness until I'm convenced that it's safe to do so.

Product came with all required parts. Attempts to install without trimming molding were unsuccessful-too tight to thread hitch-to-frame bolts. Used a floor jack and install was uncomplicated.
It tits snugly and prevents junk going into the hitch. It’s on my wife’s ca r and she sparingly uses the hitch, so the cover basically lives in the hitch. She’s had it for a year and it never fell out.
Great quality, and the directions were clear and easy to follow. Took me about six hours to install, which included a trip to Home Depot and then another to Lowe’s to find something that would work to enlarge the holes. (Tip: Lowe’s has a 2-step Unibit by Irwin, 7/8” to 1 1/8” for about $xx. Expensive, but it definitely made the job easier.) The exhaust hangers were a pain to remove; use lube to make them easier to work off. I did the optional step of drilling the exhaust heat shield because I didn’t want to leave it off. There is one bolt that will not be replaced when you reinstall it. There is also one bolt on the driver’s side cover that will not be replaced. It will be a huge help if you have a friend hold up the hitch when you bolt it on, or use jack stands. I struggled working it into place by myself. I’ve been an etrailer customer for years. They are hands down the best retailer for all your towing needs, and their customer service is top notch.
Nice firm rubber, not hard plastic. Fits nice and snug in Curt hitch.
So far it has been just fine good quality hitch . so far i have only used it for a cargo carrier worked great .
I was a bit skeptical but this actually worked out of the box on my honda CRV. Install was fine and I actually did it single-handed and without a lift. Took me 2 hours. Hitch has been great for a year now.
Should have been using this for years to prevent rust in the hitch receiver. Works great!
I really appreciated the fish wire provided with the bolts. Everything was very well laid out and easy to understand from the instructions and installation process.

I purchased the CURT trailer hitch for my 2021 Lincoln Corsair about one year ago. I only use to tow around the tow dolly at RV parks. The one issue I have is it appeared the left (Driver's) side mounting holes (front hole) needs to be oblong 1/4" more towards the front, so the mount bolt could fall in straight down, instead of being cocked facing backwards. Installation was easy for a one person, lying on the floor using a floor jack and basic hand tools, and instructions were easy to follow.
Well built and fits tightly. Needed for front mounted hitch to keep the tube clean inside.
