The Hitch Plate from Buyers Products features multiple pintle hook mounting positions, two forged D-rings, and a pre-punched hole that fits most trailer electrical connectors. The hitch plate is pre-fabricated and ready to use. The 1/2" thick hitch plate includes ICC bumper protection and features a black powder coated finish for corrosion resistance. It should be both welded and bolted to the frame. Fits fits 2007 and Newer Dodge 3500 Cab and Chassis, 2008 and Newer Dodge 4500/5500 Cab and Chassis. Please consult the vehicle/chassis owner's manual before installing. To install the hitch plate it should be bolted with (2) 5/8" Grade 8 bolts on each side and professionally welded all around the outside of each frame rail with a minimum weld size of 5/16".

Speaker 1: Today we're going to take a look at the 1/2 inch by 15 inch hitch plate for pintle mounting on Dodge Ram trucks. Now, this is designed to fit Dodge Ram 3500, 4500 and 5500 trucks. We do recommend to consult your vehicle or chassis owner's manual before installing. This hitch plate will feature multiple pintle hook mounting positions right here in the center. Also two forged D-rings, one on each side and right up here they have a pre-punched hole that will fit most trailer electrical connectors. It is a 4-inch structural steel C-channel construction.
The hitch plate is pre-fabricated and ready to use. It is a 1/2 inch thick hitch plate. It includes an ICC bumper to help provide underride protection. ICC stands for Interstate Commerce Commission.It features a nice, black, powder-coat finish for corrosion resistance. Now, this should be both welded and bolted to the frame.
We mentioned the hole right here. It has a built-in trailer electrical connector location. Now the pintle hook mounting position is right in here. There's four different positions when you bolt your pintle hook to. There's one, two, three, four.
Just to give you a few measurements, the overall measurement from the center of the bottom hole to the center of the top hole is going to be right at 7 inches.The distance between each set of holes center-to-center is 1-3/4 inches. The D-rings, the width on them, the opening is going to be 3 inches. The height on the opening is 2-1/2 inches. Now the overall length on this from very end to that very end is 63 inches. The height from here to the very bottom is 15 inches and the maximum gross trailer weight capacity on this is 14,000 pounds.
