Today we're going to review part number 80948. This is the Tow Ready Combo Bar with the 2 inch Trailer Hitch Receiver. Now, this is a fabrication part which is perfect for constructing an under car receiver hitch when a receiver is not available. The receiver is designed with the appropriately sized tube for an easy insertion of ball mounts. You can see it even has the pin hole drilled on the side here. It is a raw finish which is what you want if you're going to be welding this to your trailer vehicle.
The receiver opening on this is 2 inches by 2 inches. The overall length on this, I'll put a ruler on it for you, is going to be right at 48 inches. That should do it for the review on part number 80948. The Tow Ready Combo Bar with the 2 inch Trailer Hitch Receiver. .

What can I say, quality 2" square tubing with collar and proper sized hole for 2" hitch receiver duties. I used the steel tube to fabricate a front tire mount for my 1-ton truck. I included a photo of my finished project. Worked perfectly. etrailer shipped quickly as usually. the price was priced right, even considering the shipping. Part suppliers around my location never could get such part so I got it my self from etrailer. Thanks.

I had to put a hitch receiver on a 4 Wheeler that I use my fertilizer spreader on. Bolted it to the frame and it has worked well.
The product is exactly as described, 48 inches of raw steel ready for fabrication.
Any typical 2x2 inch receiver hitch accessory will fit in this just fine. The 48 inch length described is spot on, although the length may be unnecessary for most builds, but each project is unique in its own way. The finish is anything but (hence the use of the word "raw") so keep in mind that the cut edges can be very sharp and that metal shavings and burrs may be present on or inside of the tube, the protective collar on the end with the predrilled hole for the pin is roughly welded in place and depending on your standards may have to be touched up, but will also work just fine as is.
I intend to use this product as the tongue on an offroad trailer to tow behind my Jeep with a Max Coupler (in comparison to a ball hitch which only has free movement side to side, a Max Coupler is a fully articulating hitch with free movement side to side, up and down, and also rotationally, allowing the trailer to move completely independently to the tow vehicle while trekking through rough terrain) A Max Coupler requires a 2 inch receiver on both the tow vehicle and the trailer to be towed, so this product will work perfectly as the tongue on my trailer.
I had to fabricate my own hitch, so I bought this piece. It worked really well - very solid and I thought the price was fair. Turned out good!

Workout out great after 1 year - very strong!
Bought this to build a hitch extension for my sailboat trailer. Plenty heavy duty for that. Gets my boat 4 feet farther down the ramp and it's rigid enough to not sag under the tongue weight of a 3000# boat. We will only use it for putting in and taking out at shallow ramps, so I don't think fatigue will be an issue. I am very pleased.
This 48" extension is posted on your site as 2 inches. I thought 2 inches meant OUTSIDE DIMENSIONS, NOT INSIDE. There is only one 5/8 inch hole drilled on one end, none on the other end. I have to find a 2-inch sleeve at least 14 inches long to use this extension and drill a 5/8 inch hole. It will cost me too much to return it after paying shipping to receive it. I

The part you refer to is a fabrication part, meant to provide a 2 inch trailer hitch receiver. It isnt intended as, nor is it referred to in the product description as a hitch extender.
Product just as advertised. What was amazing was the effort the team at etrailer put together to get my order to me so quickly. Able to get the hitch done in time for the big holiday weekend because of their quick effort. Thanks guys
I used this bar to construct a 4' extension for my standard drawbar by inserting a 2" bar and bolting the two together.This allows me to launch my boat several more weeks as the lake is drawn down for flood control efforts.

SEEMS TO BE A HEAVY DUTY QUALITY PIECE. HOWEVER, IT WILL NOT FIT INTO A RECIVER ON A HITCH.
Collar on end of tow bar snug no gaps and uniform weld.
I will not be using this devise here in San Diego. We are taking it to our other house in Baja, Mexico. We will be using it to launch the small boat into the bay. This devise will assist in keeping the water away from the truck. Can show pic' later when we head down Feb 8. Thanks for the quick arrival.
The product arrived, basically unharmed, however the container it arrived in was totally destroyed. Maybe find a better way to package. Thank you very much aside from that. It was delivered promptly and I will be ordering and recommending you in the future.
