Howdy neighbor, Adam here with etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at a coupler pin. So we have a lot of these on our website, but some are gonna be better for other couplers than the others. So with this one, it's gonna be 3 1/2 inches long, and it's gonna have a diameter of about 1/4 inch. So make sure that your hole is gonna be nice and sized right so we can fit this on here. This is gonna be great for the easy lock couplers, as you see here, it's plenty long, and it is gonna be made of steel with a zinc coating, so it's not gonna rust away over time.
So it'll look good just like our powder-coated coupler here. And it is a little spring latch, you just lift this up and clip it in. You can use it on couplers like this, it might be a little overkill since it's so long. We really don't need a long one for this. We do have a shorter one we just did a video on, and that's on our website as well.
So it will work for this, but it's a little big. And that'll do it for our look at the zinc-plated 3 1/2 inch coupler pin..

You do need to bend the spring latch portion. F you have one of these couplers, you know what I mean. This coupler pin works with mods. Excellent service from etrailer.com, as usual. Photo is after I bent to fit Demco coupler.
Took a measured guess on which coupler safety pin would fit my new dump trailer, since I quickly lost the one that came with it.
The new one fits perfectly (I bought two just in case, lol). Came quickly in the mail. Love etrailer.com for their easy to use website, and great phone and email assistance (when needed)!
I had a coupler ring with a round bail. My tail gate rested on the round coupler pin when fully lowered. This wide flat coupler allows me to feed the 7 pin trailer cord, the trailer video camera cord and the break away cord through the bail so all connections are lying flat. I can lower the tail gate and have about 3/4 inch clearance between the coupler and the tail gate.
The coupler pin I got won't fit the new coupler. It looks like good quality, but the locking mechanism won't go around the new coupler.
Hitch was great. Coupler pin with it didn’t work right.
