Secure this hoist to the nearest tree with the heavy-duty chain attachment so you can lift a dead deer and easily field dress it. The pawl on the winch prevents the deer from crashing to the ground when you let go of the handle.

You're deep out in the woods on your hunting trip, and you've had the good fortune to take down a deer. But now you're faced with the daunting task of lugging your kill all the way back home to field dress it. Well, now you don't have to! This tree-mounted hoist lets you lift a deer or elk into the air so it's easier for you to clean it on the spot. This helps prevent your garage or shed at home from unnecessary messes, and it allows you to keep on hunting, if you wish. Or, if you're not a hunter, you could always use this hoist to hang a heavier game feeder for deer, birds, and other wildlife.
Once you attach a gambrel (not included) onto the winch hook, unspool the 15' long cable to reach the back of your pickup truck, ATV, or wherever else you've put the deer. Once the gambrel has been properly secured to the heavy carcass, you'll have enough leverage to hoist it into the air. The strong, galvanized cable and hook can bear the weight of the deer, and they won't corrode if its raining or snowing.
To lift the deer up, turn the built-in pawl mechanism away from you before cranking the handle next to it clockwise. The molded, plastic-coated handle is comfortable to hold for longer periods of time, and it won't freeze your hands if you're hunting in cold weather and forgot your gloves at home. As you're turning the handle, the machined aluminum pulley at the top makes sure the deer is hoisted straight up without the cable binding up. And the stabilizer bracket on the bottom of the hoist grips onto the bark to prevent it from shifting around on the tree as youre lifting the deer.
When the deer has been lifted to where you need it, let go of the handle, and the pawl will automatically stop the deer from crashing to the ground. This lets you have both hands free to use a hide puller (310-VHP001 - sold separately), a deer splitter (310-VDS001 - sold separately), and other tools to field dress the deer. After you are finished, turn the pawl toward you and crank the handle counterclockwise to slowly lower the deer's remains to the ground.
Once the winch, pulley attachment, and chain attachment have been assembled onto the hoist with the included hardware, pick out the tree or pole you want to use. Make sure you choose a tree or pole no smaller than 7" in diameter and no larger than 18" in diameter or it won't be secure. Because it has a lightweight design, it's easy for you to pick the hoist up and position it where you need on the tree. While keeping one hand on the hoist above the winch, wrap the heavy-duty chain around the tree, keeping it tight so there isn't any slack. Then insert a chain link into the slotted anchor bracket.

This right here is the Viking Solution Kwik Game Hoist. So, if you get a deer out in your favorite spot but you need to clean it and you really don't wanna bring it all the way home and do it there, or you don't really want to clean it right where you shot it cause that's a great spot and deer probably won't like that. Either that, or you can use this for some game feeders. Regardless, all you have to do now is just pick a tree, whichever one is best, hook it up really easily with this chain and you can either clean your game there or feed them. We do wanna make sure we find the right tree, so we want nothing littler than seven inches in diameter. This one's about eight, so it's perfect.
Those really big boys, we're probably not gonna wanna use this on those, but that's kind of a lot of different range of trees. So I'm sure you could probably find one that'll fit. This one right here is a little too small, but then you get the big boy right here and this is gonna be a little too big for the hoist but any two trees kinda like these, these will be just right. The hoist weighs about 22 pounds. So you can pretty much do it by yourself.
Once the tree gets a little bit bigger, it might get a little harder, but all you have to do is just pick your spot, after you find your tree, kind of get it lined up to where you want it, and then you can kind of hold it up, wrap the chain around. And we do wanna use this chain and this chain only for this. So we don't wanna swap anything out and what we wanna do, come up like this, pull it tight and then fit that link on the inside right there. All the excess, I typically just put it right here and then, make sure it's nice and seated properly. And then, pretty much, we're just gonna have this little bottom piece, which is just gonna kind of hold it to the tree.
And then up here, we can go ahead and start hanging stuff. Wherever you are in the world, just make sure that the game you plan on hoisting up or the feeder you plan on putting up in the air is not gonna go over about 400 pounds. I'm about maybe a buck 75 wet and there's no flex or anything and it just seems super, super solid. So I think this thing's gonna be a really good option for you. So there's a couple ways we can do this.
Up in this position is going to be when I am cranking it clockwise and it's clicking through, then we can go to the middle position, which is where it's going to be free-spooling each way. But then we go all the way down, and now this is gonna be for counterclockwise when we click. So we have a lot of different adjustments there and we're gonna have a handle on one side. And from here to the end, it's gonna be about seven inches. Does have a little plastic piece here, so gloves are not, it's not gonna freeze your hand at all. So we can go, crank. You can do the free mode like this. Or go all the way down, do it the other way. So there's a lot of options. The gears are gonna be coded with a zinc coating. So it's gonna be extra strong, especially if you do keep it out here for a couple days or even the whole entire season. The rest of it's gonna be made a steel and we are gonna have a back black powder coated finish on the main support beam of the hoist. But if you do plan on keeping this outside I would recommend using gloves if you do start to touch this. Cause after a while, it will start to rust away and it might start to prick your hands a little bit. So definitely use some gloves if you plan on keeping it outside which it doesn't really look that horrible. It's very small. So might as well just keep it on a tree and just so it's ready for whenever you bring whatever you got to do and lift it on up. We have a zinc coated hook as well. And it has a little flap here so it's not gonna come undone. And the cable's gonna be about one eighth of an inch in diameter and it's gonna be pretty long. The cable's about 15 foot long. So we could take our truck or the side by side whatever we're using to transport the game and go all the way out, hook it up and then go over to the handle and start cranking. So I think that's pretty convenient. From the back of our center beam, to the farthest most point out, it's gonna stick out about 28 inches. And then from the top of this tube to the bottom of the whole entire hoist, it's gonna be about 43 inches. Well, depending on what kind of tree you choose as a bracket right here, and the whole entire width of that from right to left is gonna be about six inches. So even if it is a little bit bigger of a tree. It does really good at just kind of grabbing that tree and not really moving at all. I mean, there's a little bit of slack right here but that's not a problem. Especially when we get all that weight on there, there's gonna be so much pressure down here on the tree. So I think this is a very, very solid option. I was pretty surprised once I put it on a tree. So right out of the box after I assembled this thing, at first I thought it was gonna be a little flimsy but it's absolutely solid. So that was a very good thing for me to see. I was very impressed by it but also it's just very, very convenient. You know, sometimes you got that perfect little food plot where you wanna add an extra little feeder something, this doesn't really limit you a whole lot. Just find a tree, make sure it's the right size, wrap the chain around and you're pretty much done. I think it's a pretty good economical option if you're wanting to do one of those two things. And that's pretty much it for our look at the Viking Solutions Game Kwik Hoist..

So glad to find it at eTrailer!! Ordered on line and it arrived in two days ! eTrailer is outstanding as always. Great informative web site , easy to do business with , great customer communications. The order process, shipping ,and communication was excellent. Product was just what I was needing. I would definitely buy products and buy from E trailer again.
Nice easy quik service sturdy product
The hoist arm and chain are solid, the winch however had all the teeth shear-off on something weighing 183lbs. Ended up taking off the crank and using ratchet straps instead because it had become useless and dangerous, slipping and spinning the handle wildly.
I recently purchased a game hoist from Etrailer for this hunting season. I found that the item was well built and operated extremely easy. I have loaded numerous large game animals without any strain at all. I wish I had made this purchase years ago.
It's what I have been looking for to get everything together.
thank you great product
