Note: When this ladder rack is installed on a Ford Super Duty truck, there will be limited clearance because of the height of the truck cab. So there is a possibility that items loaded on the ladder rack that extend over the cab will make contact with the roof of the cab.
The TracONE mounts quickly and easily to your truck bed rails. Simply position the bases of the rack where indicated in the included instructions and secure them with the provided clamps. Each support base is held in place by 2 heavy-duty aluminum clamps. Torque the clamps down to ensure a substantial connection and you're good to go.
The sturdy aluminum crossbars on all Thule Thule TracRac truck racks feature integrated slots for mounting and easily adjusting accessories, such as the included load stops. These slots appear on both the top and bottom of the bars for the ultimate in mounting versatility.
A built-in trip strip at the front of each crossbar shields the slots from wind, maintaining the aerodynamic quality of the bars and preventing that annoying whistle you often find with slotted bars.
Included with the TracONE are 4 aluminum load stops with tie-down points. These load stops are designed to mount in the slots of the crossbars and slide along them for quick, easy adjustment.
Thule Thule TracRac crossbars accept a variety of accessories (sold separately) that slide and adjust for optimal placement.
The TracONE rack system is constructed of durable, lightweight aluminum. Because aluminum is lighter than steel - the material most often used for truck racks - only a small percentage of your truck's cargo capacity is taken up by the rack itself, enabling you to pack on more weight than you could with a steel system.
Even though aluminum is already rustproof, Thule Thule TracRac has taken the extra step of adding a dual powder coat finish to further protect the rack. The matte black electrostatic powder coat (e-coat) clings to the metal surface better than traditional paint finishes for a more durable covering. The second coat is a clear finish that adds extra shine and protection from scuffs and scratches.

Expensive but probably worth the money. No problem at all with black powder coating in screw threads, which many other reviewers complain about. I bought the Thule aero rack pads at the same time. They do not fit the rack properly and I’m disappointed that etrailer did not question the order and offer advice.
Rack is sturdy and well built. Took less than an hour to assemble and install. Maximum height of rack does not clear the top of the cab of a 2016 Ford F-350 SD Crew Cab. If you want to carry a kayak it will require foam blocks or Malone kayak saddles made for the Tracrac(not carried by etrailer). You can not carry a long ladder if used on this vehicle. Over all it is good rack though.

Still working great as a kayak rack using foam blocks.
After using only for a couple months, the bolts continually loosened up until they sheared off leaving the rack unable to be used. Never will I buy anything of this sort again. Track rack truly went down and they sold to Thule
Bought this Thule rack to go with a pair of Thule Hullavators. It was the perfect rack to fit our needs. Thanks to etrailer.com for their help in selecting the best rack to fit our needs.
Thule has been a trademark name to trust, I'm glad you carry their products. I think it's too early to make a definite five-star rating since poor product hardware takes time to show, they are not coated that I can see.
Installed on my Ford F250 Super Duty. Excellent construction, takes about one hour to assemble with just a few tools. Instructions are good, and all parts were in the box. Looks/fits fine on my truck. The rack is about 1" taller than the cab roof. Flat items like ladders, lumber, rigid pipe will clear, but flexible items like PVC or plywood may touch the top of the cab when travelling. I purchased this unit to transport kayaks when we travel on vacation. Canoes/kayaks clear fine if transported right-side up (as they are flat on the bottom) . But I load them upside down for better wind and noise control, and the 'tip' of the boat will just touch the top of the cab. I easily fixed this by getting a few 4"-5" stainless hose clamps at Lowe's, and a piece of 2x4, and clamp that to the front bar. Not a hill for a stepper.
I just put it together last night and installed it on my tundra.
Then mounted my fly rod holder to it
It feels very rugged and it looks awesome on my truck
I received my product quickly. I was very pleased with the quality and instructions. I installed this on my truck that also has an in-bed tool box.
Although the install instructions were easily understood it would be very helpful to have another set of hands.
I do have a suggestion w/ref to the excellent hardware supplied. Unfortunately I found in several instances I experienced difficulty because there was paint in the internal threaded areas. This I was able to overcome by using the correct tap to clear the internal threads.
I love it.
Great product, easy install, easy to follow instructions. My only complaint is: getting tool box mounting kit and there is no option for getting black hardware. Who would think I wouldn't mind silver clamps with my black rack, black tool box, ladder that I painted black? Black running boards, mirrors and handles changed out from factory. I painted them, but wish I didn't need to after paying I think around $600 for the 2 products combined. They should look at sending the tool box kit to powder coat. It's literally the exact same clamp with a hole drilled and threaded in it.
This is a constructed, great looking rack that is easy to assemble too. etrailer.com’s customer service is exceptional; prompt responses to questions with helpful information and suggestions and they are knowledgeable about the products they offer. Very satisfied with this rack and other purchases I have made with them.
The bos for ladder rack was left in my front porch with one end ripped open. Im hoping all parts are still in the box. I am installing today so I will let you know.
Install was simple. Did not use the clamps that came with it. Bolted to bed instead. Crossbody too box sits on top of front rails. Bought the tool box mounting accessory kit and used the shims that came with that to level the crossbody box.
I am very pleased with my purchase. The assembly of the TracRac was not difficult and the install on my truck was fairly easy. I used it last weekend to haul my kayak as well as my wife’s kayak while pulling our camper. The rack made it possible for us to haul our 12 foot kayaks with ease.
This rack is awesome. I have carried, lumber, step ladders and lengthy pipes with ease. I also bought a cantilever extension and it’s a plus for hauling lengthy materials.
would like to see a better way to attach and more secure once but overalla great product.

All good here. rack was easy to install and looks great.
Solid rack good build all the parts were well made. Easy install and works with cross the bed toolbox just had to make a spacer out of metal strap and it looks great. Best price going on etrailer, I'm using it with a crago rack for snowboarding and a vertical mount for mountain bikes.
Solid rack. Thule products are good quality and the rack is no exception. Installation is a bit difficult based on how you secure the frame. Screws were tight so you have work pretty hatd to get the screws fully rightened.
I have a fly rod vault and the cross blades are too wide to accommodate which was nit clear when I ordered. So i have to set up a non-traditional set up.
Nice rack just does not work with an other thule products. I have thule bike and kayak racks.

Ok, Initially thought they would work with my Thule recreational racks for my kayaks. That is not the case. But the are well made and have stayed firmly attached to the vehicle. After using them a year, I wish I had looked further to find something that would have worked with a bed cover or a topper.
This is the second one of these racks I have purchased the first one was excellent but the second one I purchased the second one I purchased a little over a year later was ruff first it had a few small dents in the upper cross overs on the uppers there was places where the coating was coming off as soon as I opened the box then when I went to install it on the truck it was horrible to try to get lined up seemed things were twisted or something but I finally got it on the truck just hope it holds up
The install was pretty tough. Not overly complicated, but the hardware on the clamps are really tight and require a ton of torque to thread the screw through the clamp.
This rack is frikin awesome. Just what I expected. Had it unboxed and installed in 2 hours- might have been a beer break or 2
Great price great customer service as all ways.
100% satisfaction.
Really too new to rate as far as functionality as I just installed it today. 2 guys about an hour plus. Looks great. Had a few little scratches out of the box, but since I know it's going to get used for my roofing company, I know this is a minor thing. Looks great and hope it performs as well as it looks. I really didn't want a full ladder rack so I think this will work out just fine Delivery was super quick too
So I bought this truck bed rack system to help me transport some kayaks for a camping trip. Package was delivered and the box it came in had three holes in it. Something penetrated the box deep enough to dent the crossbars. Also the paint that covered the crossbars was compromised and came off where the dents were. I called customer service and they immediately ordered two more crossbars but it was impossible to get them to me before the campus trip. Kayaks had to stay home. So I get home from trip and the new crossbars were delivered. I opened them up right away only to discover that one of the crossbars had a dent in it. Haven’t contacted them yet with this new problem. I don’t have an issue with customer service. They were great. But don’t understand why these things keep showing up with damage on them. Can it be UPS? Most likely but might just return the whole thing and get a refund. Feel like I can’t win here. Paid a lot of money for these things so I expect product to show up in perfect condition. New. Product is a Thule. If it was a cheap rack then I wouldn’t care since I’m gonna use it and get it well used. Only asking for it to show up not damaged
The rack Works well and is solidly in place in my truck after a year of use, no complaints. I would give it five stars except the installation process was much harder than necessary due to the inside of the mounting C-Clamps being coated with some type of very hard epoxy which made it very difficult to insert the mounting bolts and get them to engage the receiving threads. I wound up stripping the threads on one of the bolts and had to run to the local hardware store to get a replacement, thus making a short project much longer.

Products are good and solid for my purposes. The black coating on two of the mounting brackets blistered and flaked off within 9 months and the aluminum underneath began quickly to corrode. Contacted Thule, who were very helpful and quickly replaced the two brackets under warranty. It is surprisingly difficult to find good quality pads that fit these wide racks.
