Haven’t had a chance to use the grease but it was recommended by a Rv mobile tech I know. The 5 star review is for eTrailer’s customer support. I ordered two tubes and one of them arrived with the top crushed. They sent a follow up email the day after it arrived wanting to know if I received the package and was pleased. In my reply I explained what happened and sent a pic asking if they could help. Within a week I had a new tube of grease at no cost to me! Sure don’t find customer service like that too often these days. Thanks eTrailer….you guys rock!

by:

Good Day. So I,m not quite sure what happened to my grease. The shipping box is in perfect condition, however the contents are destroyed. All 4 tubes of grease are damaged, and not useable. Again the shipping box is perfect. Kinda weird. I really need this grease to service my trailer, I had planned pre trip maintenance for today. So I guess you can see that really messes up my schedule, asI have to take the trailer out of storage, and take it to my shop for servicing. Very time consuming. Please help ! Thanks.

the product is a high heat grease good for heavy duty use it has a 500 degree rating i plan on doing some long distance traveling with a fully loaded cargo trailer i think it should provide good bearing lubrication for a 1,500 mile trip

by:

product was shipped with trailer brakes and one of the tubes busted and went everywhere in the shipping box

Used this grease to pack new bearing on my RV. The following year, maintenance grease applied without bearing cleaning. Grease has held up very well. It's economical and does what I need it to do.

by:

was just what I expected. Now along with the Bearing Buddies I can keep the bearings on my trailer greased.

All is great with red grease and bearing buddies

I just received and used the Lubrimatic LMX grease, so I can only comment that it looks like a high quality product. I did want to comment that I was using it to pack 4 Dexter 3500lbs EZ-lube spindles/bearings, and 14oz was barely adequate. I was short a couple pumps of the grease gun. So my advice is to figure on 3 spindles per tube, or maybe to be more precise: number of spindles you can do = 4 x #LMXtubes - 1. You may need some extra for maintenance in any case.

by:

All parts arrived quickly and fit perfect! I bought a used car trailer few months ago and brakes quit working. Pulled drums and needed new magnets, it was missing spring on one side, prior owner must have got some bad service. E-Trialer hooked me up with all the parts, also ordered hub seals and grease and repacked bearings. Thank you !!!

by:

Works great

by:

Picked up a few tubes of Red LMX grease for my EZ Lube hubs on my camper. They were recommended by etrailer as a good grease for wheel bearings. I have used Lubrimatic grease over the years and had good luck with it. The red color will make it easy to see when the old grease is flushed out.

by:

I literally called 15 boat and trailer shops in town and could get the parts I needed. I quickly found them on etrailer, had spot on 2 day delivery that I could track on line and had my trailer ready when I needed it. I will use etrailer here on out rather driving and calling every place in town. Parts were exact as well as delivery. Awesome job and thank y’all!!!

by:

Great product! I used grease for trailer wheel bearing!

by:

I have been in business for over 30 years and a hobby of mine is I look at different company operations thinking what could be done to improve their service and etrailer.com does it right. From tracking your order, emails and videos on products you just purchased. This allows you all the information you need to install you parts right the first time. Great Job!

by:

Time to grease the suspension on my trailer. Ordered LMX grease and a new grease gun from e-trailer. As always, great service and followup. Product arrived in 2 business days. I will continue to do business with these guys - they are the BEST!

by:

The web site was very useful in determining what I needed to repair my trailer. Transaction was smooth, shipping quick and the communication was certainly better than todays standard. Parts fit perfectly and easy to install. Will certainly use eTrailer for future needs!

  • What Grease is Compatible With Castrol Pyroplex Red Grease
I checked the composition of the Castrol Pyroplex Red grease and it is a lithium complex grease. It will be compatible with the LubriMatic LMX Industrial Strength Grease, part # L11390 that you have referenced, which is also a lithium complex grease. The only grease that the lithium complex is not compatible with is the barium complex, bentonite clay, and polyurea (conventional). I am including a link to a FAQ page of lubricating grease. It has a chart that will show the compatibilities...

  • Best Wheel Bearing Grease for a Trailer
The highest quality grease we carry for wheel bearing is the LMX red grease like the part # L11390 that you referenced. LMX Red is heavy-duty, premium grease for the toughest lubricating jobs on the biggest, heaviest equipment. It performs better under higher pressures and temperatures than standard multi-purpose grease, and it resists water better. Because it resists water and sticks in place well, this grease will work on external parts that are exposed to the weather. It provides premium...

  • Red Grease Recommendation in Hub Drums
Red grease is the king honestly. I can't find where you found on our site to say otherwise for disc brakes but you'll be fine with it in your trailer hub. The LMX red grease # L11390 you referenced is a good choice for extremes of temperature or for cases where there is high wear in the bearings/hubs.

  • Recommendation For Red Grease For Boat Trailer Bearings Passed Through Bearing Buddy
Different types of grease have different temperature and pressure limits, so I encourage you to "clean and repack" your bearings with new grease so that you have the best protection possible for your situation. I recommend Lubrimatic Biobased LMX Red Grease 14-oz Cartridge, Item # L11390. It is an eco-friendly grease that is super-adhesive, water-resistant, and works well for high-temperature and high-pressure situations. I have attached additional information and videos for you to check out.

  • Recommended Grease to Use for a Reese SC Weight Distribution System
To lubricate your Reese SC Weight Distribution (WD) system I highly recommend the Lubrimatic Biobased LMX Red Grease. This is an excellent grease that does a great job at resisting water and the elements. It is available in a 14-oz Cartridge # L11390. According to Reese you need to lubricate the ball mount sockets, hitch ball, and spring bar trunnions. The trunnions should be lubricated daily and when in use. You need to lubricate the upper and lower trunnion pivot pins and contact area...

  • How Many Pumps of Grease Should be Put in an Axle
Keep pumping grease into the fittings until you start to see a little grease seeping through the outer bearing. This means that you have packed as much grease as will fit into your spindle. Be sure to check that the grease isn't coming out the back of the axle though because that means you have a bad seal.

  • How Often To Grease Hubs of Trailer and Grease Recommendation
Standard tapered trailer wheel bearings are recommended to be re-packed with fresh bearing grease about every year or every 12,000 miles under normal use. In certain conditions this interval could be shorter, such as if you routinely tow the trailer under conditions of extreme heat or near its maximum load capacity. This and other recommended trailer maintenance procedures are outlined in the linked article, which may interest you. The best grease around for trailer hubs is the "Red" grease...

  • Grease Recommendation for Repacking Boat Trailer
I would say to be safe you may as well remove the grease and replace it. Red grease like the part # L11390 is the heaviest duty grease we offer for trailer hubs so it is what we recommend. It's also waterproof too.

  • Solution for Hitch Accessory Stuck in Trailer Hitch After Season of Use

  • Are Red, Marine and Wheel Bearing Grease Compatible with Each Other

  • What Kind of Maintenance to the Bearing Grease is Needed if the Bearings Never Get Wet?
It is always a good idea to keep your bearings greased. Since you will not be getting them wet, your lubricant may last longer. But you will want to re-lubricate the bearings annually so that they are not operating metal on metal, which will cause them to go bad very quickly. So yes, it is a good idea to grease your bearing occasionally anyway.

  • Compatibility of Lubrimatic LMX Red Grease # L11390 for Boat Trailer
Depending on the base of the grease that is already in your boat trailer, it may be compatible with the LMX red grease. If you know who last serviced the trailer, like a marina or dealer, you will want to check with them before just combining the current and the red grease. Incompatible greases can break each other down. If you cannot find out what grease was used, you will need to remove all the old grease before using the new grease to prevent any further issues and damage to the components...

  • What is Normal Temperature Rating for Trailer Hubs
Yes, the temperatures you mentioned are normal. If you were getting over 200 degrees that would be a bad sign. But typically if all of the hubs are the same temperature you're good and it's only really an issue if one of the hubs is hotter than others.

  • Can Regular and Marine Grease be Used in the Same Hub
That is an excellent question! In some instances mixing regular grease like part # L11390 won't hurt when mixed with marine grease, but in some situations it can ruin your hubs/spindles and taking the extra time to clean off the grease and redo the job is much better than having to do that again after replacing a bunch of parts that got ruined. • 5th Wheel Brakes Work on Left Side of the Trailer But Not The Right Side
This problem is most likely being caused by an issue with the wiring- either a short on the brake output wire or on the ground wire. The brake output wire at some point will break off from the main lead and branch off to each assembly. You will need to trace the brake output wire back from the trailer connector until the point it branches into the right side braking assemblies- if these wires have any type of loom or casing on them, you'll need to remove this to get a better picture as...

  • Is Red Grease Good for Boat Trailer Hubs
Red grease is considered to be the most heavy duty and waterproof grease out there so we recommend it highly for boat trailers. My honest recommendation would be to continue using the red grease like with part # L11390 but if you wanted to remove all of the old grease you don't have to go super crazy. You need to remove all that you can by hand and anything else won't be an issue.

  • Why Is My Dexter 12 Axle Hub Running Hot
There are many reasons why one of your hubs is running hotter than the other. We usually recommend that you work on both hubs at the same time when you are trouble shooting, this way you know that the same work was done on both hubs. I would change the oil in the right hub, since you changed the oil in the left hub. I would replace the bearings in the hub you did not service, but take a close look at the bearings to make sure there are no deformities/abnormalities. If after doing this and...
