Jeff: Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a look at this CURT SecureLatch three inch lunette ring. Pretty adjustable channel mount. Has a 40,000 pound weight capacity. Now this lunette ring will mount in an adjustable channel bracket to give you a strong and durable attachment point for your pintle hitch.
Now the adjustable channel mount that we do sell separately, it is part number CU69FR. This will let you change the height of the lunette ring, depending on your application. You can see it has this offset three bolt hole pattern, allows for maximum height adjustment. And this ring can be used in either the rise or a drop position. The hole measurements right here, there's three holes. The measurement between those holes center to center is two inches.
It does come with this lockable pin, that when you drop it in, will cover the lunette ring opening when it's uncoupled and secure with a padlock right down here through the hole in the bottom here. Again, the padlock is sold separately. And that'll keep anybody from hooking up, so it secures it. Now the pin will rotate 90 degrees out of the way, and it can be locked when the lunette ring is hitched up for towing. The pin can be used in either position, the rise position like this, or if you use it in the drop position, you can still use it and lock it just like that. This is a cast iron construction.
It is austempered for superior strength. It has a nice textured dark gray paint finish, resists corrosion, provides a premium look, and the pin is a corrosion-resistant zinc finish. A few specs on this. The weight capacity is 40,000 pounds. I want to give you a few measurements on this lunette ring.
The inner eye diameter, which is the measurement right here, if we put a ruler on that, it's going to be right at three inches. Overall diameter from this end to this end is going to be right at six inches. That should do it for the review on the CURT SecureLatch three inch lunette ring for the adjustable channel mount.

Works well and very well made
Doesn't fit in the channel that was purchased with the 40,000 lb lunette eye.
Quality product, but it's advertised as an 8 position. But it's only a 4 position. I assumed I could turn it upside down for the other 4 positions. But the directions clearly warn you no to use it in the inverted position. So I bought the 25,000 lb eye because it's only a 2 bolt eye. And it is wider than the channel by 1/8". Still usable but not without modifications which I'm sure voids any warranty.
Great quality. However, the mount will not fit in the standard 8 inch channel of the Demco actuator. I will have to either grind off the sides of lunette or try and bend the mount to get it to fit inside.
The quality was top notch. Can’t beat the price on it. Welded in great and hauled my excavator, which weighs 18k, just fine.
As expected. Super stout ring. Very fast shipping
