I have waited to give a rating of the Wheel Master towing mirror until after using mine extensively, now having just returned from a 3,000 miles camping trip to the BigHorn Mts of WY.
As a tow vehicle, we have a 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee which is a solid towing machine, but the swept back factory mirrors just will not work with the various strap on mirrors sold by eTrailer. (All good mirrors, but don't work on this vehicle.) All offered promise but slide off after a few hundred miles, or on two lane highways semis blow the whole mirror assembly back against the window. Finally I ordered the Wheel Master Eagle Vision unit.
This mirror performed very well. After the initial mounting, I checked the tension of the strap periodically, but it never needed readjustment. Rough roads, weather changes, high winds, nor semis bothered it at all. Yes, the mirror itself can have some vibration when fully extended, but I could always see clearly behind me.
Following the mounting instructions carefully, I did not have the scratched windows or body parts mentioned by a few other users. On our vehicle, the window went up and down freely.
After the initial setup, it is relatively simple to take the mirror off and reinstall later, however I found that while on a trip an even better option is to simply leave the mounting bracket on and remove only the mirror & arm by loosening the two thumb nuts, then returning it whenever we rehitch our trailer.
This unit is not only the best add-on towing mirror for my vehicle, but the ONLY one I have found that mounts securely and stays in place.

Hello
I think it sort of works OK but
it appears there might be a left and right on this. The firs time I bought this all was good until the mirror fell out and the glass broke. I ordered a single and now to crank it down in place is very difficult on the passenger side. Did I get the wrong mirror for the passenger side?

No, you didnt get the wrong one, so rest at ease! These mirrors can be installed on the driver or passenger side simply by turning the mirror 180 degrees to face the way you need depending on which side of the vehicle it is on. As far as the difficulty in cranking it tight goes, if you feel like it is a defect or broken in some way, these mirrors do come with a 1 year warranty and the manufacturer would want to help you with that directly.

The eagle vision portable rear-view mirror was easy to install. Stable view when driving around the neighborhood. Want to try it at highway speeds. 2011 Ford Expedition. Our standard mirrors don't allow a good view of traffic approaching from behind our 33 ft Jayco Feather trailer.

by:

Great mirror, my first one rusted out after 14 years of service. Replaced it with a new one. Recommend this to anyone. I also added a 3” spot mirror to the assembly, perfect.

by:

With my 2014 town and country minivan, I pull 19 ft freedom express toy hauler 8, 1/2’ wide at awning, my driveway gives me 3” clearance on each side, it is a tight fit, but with patience adjustable this mirrors work very well.
Highway towing, There are no vibrations.
Installing and removing its like tightening your shoe strings once you learn, it is second nature.
I still need to figure out a camera for the back of trailer to be with the times.
Life is good, Thanks be to God.

After a year they hold pretty good

by:

The extended rear view mirror WM600 performed badly for me. It seemed to fit my VW Golf Sports wagon properly, but during the first trip of about 1000 miles numerous adjustments were required to reduce vibration. The rattling noise and vibration were very annoying. Shortening the extension arm to minimum (zero) length, helped the vibration in the support arm. This is only half of the problems.
The mirror assembly has some design flaws that need work. The adjustment screw to apply pressure to the round ball relies on threads in steel that is about 1/8 thick--those threads were failing, so I added an extra nut (standard sae 0.25 x 20 seemed to fit well). Other aspects of the design can not be corrected by me.
Even with minimum extension the seven inch mirror assembly would flex at speeds above 55 mph. Even with this minimum wind exposure, the mirror image was shifting badly. The image was adequate to show a vehicle behind me, barely adequate to distinguish car vs truck. I will look for a mirror assembly with support near the center of the mirror. In this case the support is six inches below the center and that allows too much flex at 70 mph.

by:

I had tried the strap on extension mirrors. I had to stop and adjust the straps several times during the trip (about 200 miles.) Because of this I purchased the WM6600 mirrors. During the same trip or similar trips I never had a mirror move. The mirrors extend a little farther out and are larger in size. These two facts gave me a better view of the trailer and the road behind. After the initial setup they are easy to put on the truck. Some minor adjustment maybe required.

by:

I found the product did the job and stayed in place. Downsides were the rubber coating on the piece that hooks onto the window sill wears through exposing metal on your sill. The window never raised or lowered normally it always strained and eventually scratched from the same hook. The adjustment feature for the view is annoying and it requires patience in adjustment, every time you attach the mirrors. I've moved on, with scratched windows. They are very cumbersome to store and at this point can't give them away.

by:

Liked the mirror bracket easy to attach to vehicle worked great. The Mirror itself kept vibrating out of adjustment ended up finding a replacement mirror that was more stable and stayed in place mounted new mirror to the bracket. Like the easy on and off of the mirror bracket.

by:

So far so good. It's mounted, but I haven't yet driven to see how the adjustments hold. But it mounted easily and seems to be of good quality.

by:

It is a replacement for one I damaged when dropped. Like it because once adjusted and replaced on the same spot, it works every time without further adjustment.

by:

put mirrors on my 1997 F250 whitch only have the smaller mirrors not like the new 250,s and they fit and look great and now we are ready to pull our 37 ft travel trailer. got product in record time, Thanks

by:

Easy to navigate website, very fast shipment and great communication. All you could ask for!

by:

I put them on both sides of my jeep gladiator and had no problem seeing around my 23 foot camper

by:

I really like these mirrors. They are easy to install and are well made. I noticed on my first trip with these, that the mirrors tend to tip forward when I reach about 50mph. To correct this, I set the mirror view a little high. This took care of the problem. I would, and will, recommend these mirrors to others. Thanks for a great product.

The tilting problem is still there, but Ive become used to it. I may try a different mirror in the future possibly a clip-on style. I still think the mirrors are a good product.

by:

I own a Colorado 2017 and they fit perfectly. They are easy to install and they don't shake like other brand do. I would definitely recommend them.

by:

Well made. Sturdy. Easily installed. I like being able to set up the tightening handle for right or left door.

by:

Extension bar was very tight hard to adjust for me Other wise a very good products

Thank you for your quick delivery. Jamie, Lansing Michigan

by:

The mirror worked fine until it fell apart as we were driving and it fell off.

by:

Don’t know which is better, the mirrors or
the service. I am very happy with my first
Experience at etrailer.

by:

Wish you had a passenger side without having to take it apart to reverse the set up.

by:

Very well made with quality heavy metals. no plastic here. the mirror is the perfect size and encased in a heavy metal cover. The mirror is the only thing that you assemble to the completely assembled frame. this is the best of the best set of mirrors you can get and I did a lot of research before I purchased these.

by:

The mirrors worked great. Was pulling a 23' Starcraft with a Ford Expedition. Easy to install, uninstall, adjust. Read many reviews for different types of temporary mirror attachments. I am very happy with my final decision.

by:

Works really well .just needs to be level,as so can close window properly.

It can extend out up to 17 inches away from the vehicle and provides a 7 inch by 7 inch mirror.
