Speaker 1: Today we're going to look at the 45 ton four hole air compensated pintle hook. Now this air compensated pintle hook will cushion the movement between the pintle hook and your tow ring. It does require a brake chamber part number 3373018091 and the bracket part number 337P45AC4BK. Both of those items we do sell separately on our website, and with those two items that would complete your kit. And we also do sell this as a complete kit and that's part number 337P45AC4K. That we also sell separately on our website.But basically what happens, I happen to pull the chamber and the bracket.

It's all put together. Here's your brake chamber, here's your bracket. And basically what happens is this plunger or rod will screw right into this middle section here, and that will apply the air which if you notice when your tow ring's in here, it will push that block up against your tow ring and keep it from any movement. Or if it does move, it would push back onto the air chamber.Now this video's just going to go over the pintle hook itself. So basically the air compensated feature on this will save wear and tear on the parts by reducing the slack and movement of your connection, especially in sudden motion or braking situation.

This four hole mount bolt-on hook uses the vehicle's air system, holds the drawbar eye closely to reduce wear, absorb the shock, and prevent uncoupling during operation. This will make for a more comfortable ride through the shock absorption between the vehicle and the trailer. This hook is ideal for heavy duty applications such as semi-trailers, both off road and over the road. This part is an extremely strong austempered ductile iron construction. You'll notice it has a durable corrosion resistant black powder coat finish over it.

The maximum gross trailer weight capacity is 90,000 pounds. Maximum vertical loaded ton weight capacity is 18,000 pounds.And just to show you how this operates. Now it does come with a nice set of detailed instructions that'll describe how it operates and connects. But basically what you'll do is just take this spring loaded pin or handle right here, pull it and then raise that up. Raise that lever up.

And that'll allow you to open up the latch just like that. And when you let this down, it will grip your latch and hold it in the open position. So then you can make your connection and just to show you here's where that plunger will come through, because it's not closed. So if we raise that up to close it, that'll drop it and lock it and then you can see the plunger's allowed to go through just like that. And then when it does close, when it drops in there and locks into place, it slides over and that's what'll keep it from automatically opening.So again, just to slide it over, lift it up, then allow this to raise up, and then drop it.
