Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at a 15 ton pintle hook. This bolt-on 15 ton pintle hook features tough, drop-forge construction in a black coated finish, which is a black powder-coating, to resist rust corrosion and offer maximum durability.This versatile hook can handle towing up to 30,000 pounds. It is a bolt-on installation. Your mounting kit is sold separately. Instructions do say to use four half-inch grade eight bolts for installation. It's designed to connect to a lunette ring that has an inner diameter of 2 inches to 3 inches, and a section diameter of 1 1/4 inch to 1 5/8.
The maximum gross trailer weight capacity for this unit is 30,000 pounds. Maximum tongue weight capacity is 6,000 pounds. It's very easy to open and to operate, so you need to remove the included pin and clip, lift up on this lever bar right here, and then pull back, and it will hold in the open position. This is how you would connect it to your lunette ring. Once you're connected, lift up on the t-bar, drop it, and then just secure it in place.
Simply just reinstall the included pin and clip.Now, the pin and clip are held on there with a lanyard, so you don't have to worry about misplacing that or losing it. The mount holes on the unit, up and down they're separated on center by 1 3/4 inches. Side to side, they're separated on center by 3 3/8 inches. The mounting plate gives us an overall measurement edge-to-edge this direction of 4 1/2 inches, and then top to bottom measures about 3 1/4 inches.That's gonna do it for today's look at the 15 ton pintle hook.

After a year the hitch still looks new. Now using it on second truck so diiiculties at all.
