Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we can gonna take a look at this Buyer's Products 50 Ton 10 Hole Pintle Hook. Now, this is the pintle hook that is designed to work with the Buyer's Products Air Chamber and Plunger Kit. Going to pop up an insert to show you what we're talking about there. That plunger kit would install into the opening right here.

And basically, that would give you a complete 50 ton air compensated pintle hook with the chamber and plunger, which we also sell separately. So, if you just wanna get that plunger kit and add to this, that would be a part number 337PH50ACMK, which we sold separately. Or, if you just want to get the complete kit, there's an insert of the complete kit that's this pintle hook with that plunger kit. We do sell that separately. It's part number 337PH50AC.

Now basically, when using those parts, this air compensated pintle hook will cushion the movement between the pintle hook and your lunette ring. Basically, when you install your lunette ring on here, this feature will save wear and tear on the parts, especially in sudden motion or braking situations. The pintle hook will use the air system to hold that drawbar eye closely to reduce wear, absorb shock, and prevent uncoupling during operation. This hook is ideal for heavy duty applications, such as trailers, semi-trailers, double, triple trailer operations, both off-road and over the road. Now, this product can be just used as a regular standard pintle hook if you want.

This video is just going to be on the pintle hook. Now, the mounting hardware is not included to install this. You can see we mentioned it's a 10 hole design. Now, it does require eight new three-quarter inch grade eight grade eight bolts to install this. The bolt hole diameter of these holes is three quarters of an inch, and the distance between the hole center to center horizontally, right at five inches.

This is made of an extremely strong ductile iron and castile construction. It has a nice, durable corrosion resistant powder coat finish on it. As we mentioned, the maximum gross trailer weight capacity is 100,000 pounds. Maximum tongue weight of 20,000 pounds. And the last thing, just to show you how you would hook this up to your lunette ring, you'll have this lynch pin right up at the top here. Pop open the clip, slide the pin out, that'll release it, and then it'll allow you to push this. You can see this lever right here, spring load it, push that to unlock it, and then lift up on the top. And then when you get far enough, that hook will drop in and, oops, hold it into the upwards position just like that. Now, you can put your lunette ring in there. Once your lunette ring is in there, all have to do is push down on it and that'll lock it in the closed position. And then for extra safety, you would take the pin, slide it all the way through, clip it, and then you're all ready to go. Simple as that.
