This combination ball mount lets you haul up to 12,000 lbs with either the pintle hook or the chrome-plated 2" ball. Just slide it into your 2" trailer hitch. Durable forged steel is powder coated to resist rust.

Speaker 1: Today, we're taking a look at a six ton combination pintle hitch. This six ton combination mount features a patented design that combines both a ball mount and a pintle hook into one product. It simply allows you to pull loads that either have a two inch coupler or a linnet ring without having to change mounts. It works with linnet rings that have an inner diameter of two and half to three inches with a section diameter of up to one and 9/16 of an inch. The mount fits inside of a two inch by two inch trailer hitch receiver. It has a ball size of two inches, and offers a maximum gross trailer weight capacity of up to 12,000 pounds.Now, we are looking at a really nice forged, steel construction with durable corrosion resistant powder coat finish.
It's designed, not only to resist rust and corrosion, but it's going to help the mount look really nice for a longtime, and just last for a longtime. When it comes to this, it's very easy to control. It's very easy to operate. When you're ready to open up the latch mechanism, what you need to do is remove the pin and clip. That is held on there with a chain, so you don't have to worry about misplacing that or losing that.
You grab the t-bar here, pull up, and rotate it back, and it opens up. It does stay in that position.Now, you can reinsert the pin to ensure that it doesn't close down. Overall, it's easy to use. In this position, you can connect it to your two inch coupler on your trailer, or you could connect it to your linnet ring. If you're using a linnet ring, once you have it connected, you bring this back down, and secure it in place with the pin and clip.Now, when it comes to the maximum gross trailer weight, again, that's 12,000 pounds, maximum towing weight capacity is 2,400 pounds.
The overall length, I took a measurement from very edge to very edge, and got a measurement of 15 and 3/8 inches, and then from the center of the hitch pin hole, so from the center of the pin hole here to the center of the hitch ball, I got a measurement of 11 and 3/4 inches.That's going to do it for today's look at the six ton combination pintle hitch.

You mentioned that you had not received the combo hitch. I checked and I show that it was delivered on 830. We shipped everything on the order as the same time however sometimes the packages are separated in transit which can cause deliveries on different days. Got these both in quick and they are heavy duty and appear well made. Itch mounts right up to the president drilled holes. Both were packed in a box together in separate boxes and some box damage occurred during shipping and I was missing a lock washer

Solid construction, perfect for pulling my 10,000# utility trailer while also allowing me to occasionally move trailers that have a lunette / pintle eye when needed. This eliminates the inconvenience of me having to carry two different hitches in my truck.
I also purchased a 2" ball for this hitch from etrailer so that I have the option of switching when needed; the 1-1/8" shank trailer balls for the RM6 series hitches are difficult to locate anywhere besides online.
