Hello neighbors, Steven here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at our B And B RV Hatch for your sewer hose with a nice thumb lock and black in color. So folks with this box here, you're gonna give you an RV exterior storage hatch, and then you can use it as an unused for your sewer hose or something like that. So you can attach the PVC pipe or flex hose at the color mount here on the backside, and then you can keep that hose stowed up out of the way. Now this does accept up to four inch diameter hose with this round fitting back here on the back. Now the hatch door secured with a simple plastic thumb lock.
So you can simply twist that, keep it closed and locked, and you can replace this if you want this plastic core here with a metal wand that's lockable and that would be sold separately. So the whole construction here is nice heavy duty plastic, it's impact and salt resistant, so you don't have to worry about road grime and that stuff. It's not gonna fade on you over time. It's not gonna get lighter or yellow or anything from those UV rays. And it gives you all the mounting hardware.
Mounting hardware has also been painted black on the tops, which is a nice touch, keep it all matching color. And you also get a roll of butyl tape. So if you're not familiar with butyl tape, butyl tape is simply a waterproof putty, if you will. So it's kind of smashable, it's got a little stick to it, but not too bad. Basically, you'll make your cut out that you need to, however you wanna do it on your RV, you'll put that butyl all the way around, covering all the holes on the flat surface here, and then obviously from the inside, you'd put your screws through and screw it into place.
And that screw will go right through the butyl tape and whenever you tighten everything, it's gonna kind of smash everything down and give you a nice water tight seal. It is made here in the US and it has a nice one year warranty. Now as far as some dimensions, the cutout, so the square part here, I'm measuring at the very base because it's kind of hard to see, but this is a little tapered on the product itself. So measuring at the base, I got 5-7/8" by 4-3/4", so that's your cutout. Now as far as the outside, I get 7-5/8" overall by 6-1/2".
Now the collar depth, so this round part, so it's round here and then it's square up there, but just the round part, I was getting right about 9/16" deep on that round collar. Now the overall depth just from the inside here, all the way out to the outside of that collar was right at 2-1/2". Now the outside diameter of this collar was right at 4-1/2" and the inside was 4". I can't get this ruler inside of there, so I use a different measuring apparatus and I got 4". And again, this accepts up to 4" diameter hose within fittings. So folks, again, a nice product here. Again, you can get a lock if you need separately. Well folks, that's gonna wrap it up for our look at this black color B and B RV Hatch for your sewer hose with the thumb lock. I'm Steven, thanks so much for your time and have a great day.
