Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this Dometic 13,500 BTU FreshJet 3 RV air conditioner in the white color. Now, this AC unit will let you replace an existing AC or add a new AC to your RV or camper. This one offers backwards compatibility, which means it allows the unit to work with your current air distribution box and thermostat. Now, the adapter wiring kit may be required also. We do sell that separately on our website.

Now, this air conditioner will quickly and efficiently cool the interior of your RV or camper. It'll replace, upgrade, or add an air conditioner. And this is compatible with a ductless or ducted system. If you notice, it has a nice white hard plastic cover on it to protect the internal components from water and debris. And what's nice is it can be easily removed for maintenance and cleaning.

Now, there are three screws over there and three over here, but I have taken them out already. But once you get those screws out, all you have to do is just lift the cover right off and then you'll have access to the inside. I am gonna zoom in a little bit. Now, this was the white color which has a white top and a black bottom. We also sell this model in an all black color, and that goes by a part number of DMC 99ZR.

Now, this does use a nice custom blower system, provides sufficient airflow. The airflow on this is 500 cubic feet per minute. Offers enhanced cooling performance, which will even lead distribute the cool air throughout your RV to eliminate any hotspots. Very quiet in operation, so it ensures a more peaceful atmosphere than traditional AC units. And it is a efficient design, so it requires less refrigerant than traditional AC units, which will reduce your operational costs.

The refrigerant using this is R-410A and it has about 12.7 ounces in it. They do use e-coating on the coils to protect against corrosion, and it is a lightweight construction, adds minimal weight to your RV. The weight on this is about 64 pounds. So I'm gonna go ahead and put the cover back on. And like I was saying, it just drops right in place. Make sure your tabs will line up just like that. And then there's the three holes for the screws and three back here that you'll put in. It is a bolt-on installation. It does fit roofs that are 1-1/2 inch to 6 inches thick. It does fit an opening size of 14-1/4 inches by 14-1/4 inches. And I did wanna show you, it does include the wiring harness. If we reach up in the front here, if I can find it, there it is. And there it is, you can see it has the plug on it so you can plug it in. Now, the mounting hardware installer is not included. This is UL certified. A few specs on this. Again, the capacity is 13,500 BTUs per hour. Application, this will fit motor homes, travel trailers, and fifth wheels. It is not approved for school buses, food trucks, enclosed utility trailers or off-roading vehicles. The compressor power draw while running is 13 amps. The fan motor power draw while running is 3.3 amps. And the last thing, just to give you the dimensions of this, the overall length end to the other is 31-3/16 inches long. The width at the widest point is gonna be about 24-7/8 inches wide. And the height, which is probably right here at the back from the bottom to the very top is 12-13/16 inches tall.
