Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this Dometic 15,000 BTU FreshJet 3 RV air conditioner in the white color. Now, this AC unit will let you replace your existing AC, or it'll let you add a new AC to your RV or camper. This does offer backwards compatibility, so it allows the unit to work with your current air distribution box and thermostat. Now an adapter wiring kit may be required.

We do sell that separately on our website. Now, this air conditioner will quickly and efficiently cool the interior of your RV or camper. It replaces, upgrades, or adds an air conditioner. It is compatible with a ductless or ducted system. And as we mentioned, it can be paired with your existing AC setup.

If you notice, this one is a nice white hard plastic cover, which will protect the internal components from water and debris. And I have removed the screws on both sides so we can actually take this off, makes it easy to be removed for maintenance and cleaning. Now, it does use a custom blower system, so it will provide sufficient airflow, has enhanced cooling performance, which will evenly distribute the cool air throughout your RV to eliminate any hot spots, and it is a nice quiet operation, ensures a more peaceful atmosphere than your traditional AC units. And it is an efficient design, just wanted to zoom in here. Requires less refrigerant than your traditional AC units, so it reduces operational costs.

The refrigerant used in this is R410a, and it uses about 12.7 ounces. It does use the E-coating on the coils to protect against corrosion, and it is a lightweight construction, adds minimal weight to your RV. The air conditioner total weighs about 64 pounds. Now, I did want to put the cover, drop the cover back on. And once we get the cover dropped in, like I said, I have removed the screws, they go right in here.

There's like three on this side, three on the other side, holds it in place. It is a bolt-on installation. Now, it does include the wiring harness. So if you look right up here, you'll be able to see here's your wiring harness that is included. Now, the mounting hardware to install this is not included. You would have to supply that. It is UL certified. Now, this one is the white color, has the white top and the black bottom. It is also available in an all-black color, which would mean a black top and a black bottom. We do sell that separate. It's DMC69ZR. A few specs on this. The application for this unit is motor homes, travel trailers, and fifth wheels. This unit is not approved for school buses, food trucks, enclosed utility trailers, or off-roading vehicles. Capacity again on this, 15,000 BTUs per hour, airflow, 500 cubic feet a minute, compressor power draw while it's running is 13 amps. The fan motor power draw while it's running is 3.3 amps. It will fit roofs from 1 1/2 inches to 6 inches thick, and the opening size this fits is a 14 1/4 inches by 14 1/4 inches. Last measurement's gonna be the overall dimensions. So the length of this unit front to back, 31 3/16 inches, a width side to side is 24 7/8 inches wide, and the overall height from the very bottom to the very top at the highest point is 12 13/16 inches.
