Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Dometic 13,500 BTU FreshJet 3 RV air conditioner. And you can see it's in the black color. Now this AC unit will let you replace your existing AC or it'll let you add a new AC to your RV or camper. This offers a backwards compatibility, which means it allows the unit to work with your current air distribution box and thermostat. Now an adapter wiring kit may be required also, those we do sell separate on our website.

Now this air conditioner will quickly and efficiently cool the interior of your RV or camper. This will replace, upgrade or add an air conditioner and it is compatible with a ductless or ducted system. The cover on this is a nice black hard plastic cover, protects the internal components from water and debris, and the cover can be easily removed from maintenance and cleaning. Now I have removed the screws on both sides, so just we can lift it right off, so we can look at the inside. It does use a, let me just zoom in a little bit here.

It does use a custom blower system, provides sufficient air flow. The air flow on this is 500 cubic feet per minute, has enhanced cooling performance. It'll even distribute cool air throughout your RV to eliminate any hotspots. And it is a nice, quiet operation, ensures a more peaceful atmosphere than traditional AC units. It is an efficient design.

It requires less refrigerant than your traditional AC units to help produce operational costs. The refrigerant used in this is R410A, and it contains about 12.7 ounces. Now the e coating on the coils will protect against corrosion and it is a lightweight construction. It'll add minimal weight to your RV. This air conditioner weighs about 64 pounds.

So what I'm gonna do is just go ahead and drop the cover back on. And once you get that all lined up, you can see it'll drop into place. And then the tabs line up. There's three bolts on this side, three on this side that you'll put in to hold it into place. It is a bolt on installation to your RV. It is designed to fit roofs, 1 1/2 inches to six inches thick, and it fits the opening size of 14 1/4 inches by 14 1/4 inches. Now it does include the wiring harness. You just swing it around here and see if we can find it. There it is. So it does include that, that you'll just plug in. Now the mounting hardware to install this is not included. This is UL certified. Now it is also available in a white color. This one's all black. The white comes with the top being white and the bottom's black. We do sell that one separately. It's DMC39ZR. Now a few specs on this, again. Capacity we mentioned is 13,500 BTS per hour. Application. This will fit motor homes, travel trailers, fifth wheels. It is not approved for school buses, food trucks, enclosed utility trailers or off-roading vehicles. The compressor power draw while it's running is 13 amps. The fan motor power draw while running is 3.3 amps. And the last thing to give you is gonna be the overall dimensions. So the length on this is gonna be 31 3/16 inches long. The width, the widest point 24 7/8 inches wide. And the height usually right here in the back from the bottom the very top is 12 13/16 inches tall.
