It has more BTU's than the original, and was considerable less expensive. I received the unit in one day, fastest shipping I've ever seen. We immediately placed it on our RV, plugged it in and immdeiately started cooling.. Needless to say, we are extremely happy with this unit. The manufacturer could probably use an upgrade in their packaging. Some of the plastic connectors on the cover were broke in shipping, but etrailer is quickly taking care of that. They have just made us a returning customer.
Didn’t realize it didn’t come with a controller for the wiring so you have to buy 2 extras to get it to work. 3 if you want thermostat with lighting control

Sierra K - 10/18/2021Ac is awesome. We bought this one as a replacement for a dometic and wow what a difference it makes. Its quieter and blows more air. Top cover was broken when we received it but one call and was sent a new cover.
Poor packaging for shipment, very surprised that it was not damaged. No mounting hardware. No install information. No wiring information.

etrailer is the Chik-A-fila of customer service for online purchases. I cannot say enough about their service and friendliness. The Furrion 15,500 BTU AC works like a dream!! Cools my 38' 5th wheel very well in 80° It is impressively quiet and with the 3 fan modes, you can sleep like a baby. I installed it myself converting it from an old Dometic Duo Therm. I had to replace the air distribution box and thermostat. The only reason it got four stars is because the cover came busted and a junction box had come loose and wedged into the fan blades. The cover was cracked and held on by only 3 screws since the rest of the tabs were broken. It is made in China so I'm sure it's not etrailer's fault. And the junction box ( provided picture of the unit) in the main roof unit came loose from it's four screws and wedged itself against the fan blade. It kept the blade from spinning and the sound coming from the unit sounded like a giant refrigerator the size of a tractor trail parked right out side the RV. Extremely loud!! After climbing up there and removing the cover I noticed and fixed the issue. Fortunalty it didn't damage my unit. etrailer did send me a new cover at no cost as soon as they had it back in stock. All in all, I would def recommend, just watch out for loose or broken parts. And notify etrailer as soon as possible. They will go the extra mile to help you fix any issues.

Very fast shipping. Tracking feature worked great. My forest river EVO is only about 2 years old. The dometic unit did not work well from day one. Tye compressor locked up on it. Im a cornwell tool dealer. The coach places i go to said Furion was the way to go. I installed myself. Was easy. About 30 minutes. The capacitor box was not bolted down. And i did not want it flopping around. So i removed the top and bolted it down. The unit works perfect. Blows the old unit away. 106 in az and it leveled out at 58 out the vent. Im so happy to finally have a good unit on my trailer. I will be usei g e trailer from now on. And Furion is the way to go!

Well after waiting almost 3 weeks to receive the product i made an appointment with a dealer to have it installed only to find out according to them that none of the adapter harness or blocks or bolts came with the unit...the box itself looked like it had been through ww3..so now i have to buy the ceiling unit also even though i was assured it would work on my unit...so almost 1000 dollars only to find out it doesnt work and now i have to buy the ceiling unit and wait another 2 weeks for them to ship it even though it says in stock...at this rate i will not need the ac till next summer

This ac unit is excellent for cooling. Gets colder than my other brand unit. I really like the dual motor setup, no more power dims or random breaker pops when the ac starts or runs for long periods. Was very easy to replace my old Colman with this. Basically plug and play and works with my existing thermostat/power box. That being said, it's 4 instead of 5 star for 2 issues. 1, the packaging for delivery was inadequate. Very. Came with cosmetic damage and almost all the screw down tabs for the cover were broken. Didn't bother with a replacement since it would have taken months to get and just fixed it myself. 2, moisture makes it's way into the blower motor shaft entrance area and slightly rusted when sitting for the winter. This caused the motor to not turn untill I first "freed it" by hand turning it to break it lose. Don't know if it's condensation from cold air leaking out or rain. Ordered a new motor and it seems to work fine. Might just take it off for next winter and see

the shipping is little too long. Service is great. I received the AC unit-The inside did not protect the unit very well. I have 3 places that broken especially at the corners. There is no foam to protect-they are just folded card board at the corner.

Replaced a 12.5k dometic unit that wasn't cutting it in a 30' trailer. It definitely puts out more cold air - cools the trailer faster. After 10,000 miles on the road and multiple trips it's still working great. I do have my doubts about the longevity of the plastic construction but I guess RVs don't live forever either. I like that I was able to use a standard battery operated household thermostat. The Furrion thermostats were hard to get at the time in 2020. This year I randomly found myself parked next door to Furrion's US headquarters in Indiana.

Order was scheduled for Thursday delivery, arrived on Friday. It was still pretty fast. The box was beat up, but the unit was in good shape. Easy install after getting it on the roof. Turned it on and heard an awful noise on the roof. Took off the shroud (15 screws) and found the capacitor lying in the fan housing. It had not been screwed down. Finally located some screws that fit and secured it where it belonged. Turned it on again and heard a rattling noise. It was the copper tubing vibrating against the compressor. Managed to move it far enough to stop the noise, and replaced the shroud. It seems to be running and cooling nicely now. It is definitely quieter than the Dometic it replaced. Quality control seems to be an issue at Furrion, so I would recommend inspecting the unit carefully before beginning install.

After a quick delivery from etrailer, I was able to install the Furrion AC the same day. I was able to get the unit to the top of the RV with my tractor front end loader. The electrical connector on the Coleman AC made the installation easy. One thing to make it easier, when removing the plastic cover from the inside, reattach the screws to the metal insert so that it stays aligned. A good screw gun makes the installation much quicker. I waited awhile before turning on the compressor so that the oil had a chance to settle down after the shipping and installation movement. The AC is now nice and cold in the RV. My wife and I are very pleased.

The air conditioner is awesome. Whoever assembled the kit that made it compatible with my domestic thermostat i.e. the wiring harness may not have reinstalled the screws tight. They were all over the place inside the box. It could’ve also been that the screws go into basic plastic not metal at the bottom. I did have to open it up and reassemble those screws but other than that everything was perfect. Super easy install just one plug and then shove the temperature sensor up into the fins. It is noticeably colder than my dometic brisk II and a lot quieter.

Excellent AC unit that replaced our Dometic with easy plug and play. However the mounting connections from the exterior cover to the base unit are weak and most were broken during the rough shipping by UPS. Otherwise the unit cools very good and I do not regret the purchase at all.

The unit arrived undamaged, almost too fast. Its unboxed and sitting on my roof awaiting final installation. Since it comes with no instructions. etrailer should forward/email some, for example the torque for the bolts is apparently 40-50 foot lbs according to [online] videos. Beyond that etrailer has my total confidence and is heads and shoulders over anyone else in the industry, no many industries!....period.

Normal install, same as any RV. Quality is good. Not as quiet as I had hoped, but not bad. No issues in this first year. Cooling ability is fantastic and the optional lighted trim is cool.

A/C works great, received it fairly quick for it being in the heart of covid. When I got the unit the box was pretty beat up and of course the cover for the unit was to. I contacted etrailer and the shipped a new one. Thanks for the quick service and great products.
