After a long drive to the campground, the last thing you feel like doing is maneuvering your RV into a tight campsite space - especially in the dark! This wired backup camera system gives you peace of mind that you'll be able to back up more safely, even at nighttime or in other low-light conditions.
Tired of yelling back and forth to your partner out the window as you're struggling to back in at a good angle? The built-in microphone on the camera and integrated speakers on the monitor allow a spotter to relay information or instructions to you from outside your vehicle. This makes it much easier and safer for you to back up in a crowded campground.
No more wondering if you're getting too close to another vehicle, tree, curb, or your kid's bike while backing up. The rear assist marker lines take out the guesswork to avoid collisions and safely maneuver your RV. The lines are displayed in 3 different colors (green, yellow, and red) to help gauge the proximity of objects within your view.
And depending on your camera setup, this system allows you to add up to 4 cameras (additional wireless cameras sold separately) and view all angles simultaneously. This is great for when you're backing up at the campground or changing lanes on the highway, as it'll let you keep an eye on everything going on around your RV without needing assistance from others.
And because this camera has 18 infrared LEDs, you'll have a clear picture even in low-light conditions at dusk or in complete darkness at night. These LEDs provide ample illumination up to 45' should you arrive at the campsite after dark and need to back up into your parking spot.
If you need to wash your RV, the waterproof, IP69-rated camera will be protected against close-range, high-pressure spray downs, and the sealed thread-and-collar, 4-pin connector ensures that moisture won't seep in. If you're driving through rough country roads, the camera will resist excess dust and dirt. And if it freezes over while you're camping up north, the heated lens prevents ice from building up on the camera, which means you won't need to defrost it by hand.
This camera system includes 3 different mounting options for the monitor, depending on how you want to display it on your RV's dashboard. If you want a permanent mounting solution, drill the pedestal mount or the U-bracket into the dashboard. Or, if you want to be able to re-position the monitor later on, you could stick the pedestal mount onto the dashboard with the included adhesive backing. And if you want the monitor to have a custom, factory look, recess the third mount into your dashboard. To power the monitor, simply plug it into a 12-volt light or cigarette lighter outlet.
The camera bolts onto the back of your RV with mounting hardware (not included) - drilling is required. Then once the connections to power, ground, and the monitor have been made, wire the camera to the reverse lights if you solely want it to back up out of tight spaces. Or wire it to ignition power if you want to keep an eye on your rig while you're driving down the highway.

Speaker 1: Today we're gonna take a look at the rear mount RV backup camera system with night vision, and a quad screen monitor. Now this observation system will improve your rear view visibility and obstacle detection. Has also a nice convenient auto-on feature that when the vehicle shifts into reverse it'll automatically come on. A camera they use is a nice heated camera, has 18 infrared LEDs for 45 feet of night time vision and also an audio feed. The camera itself is an IP69K Rating for extreme water and dust resistance. The U bracket like is installed on it right now, a flush mount bracket and even the nice adjustable ball and socket type mount.Does have a built in speaker, comes with a wireless remote for easy operation in or out of your vehicle. Included monitor displays 4 camera angles at once so that you can safely and confidently back into a tight space at the campground. Waterproof camera withstands harsh environments whether your campsite is hit by a rainstorm or a cold front.Purchased our back-up camera a year ago and love it. Makes it so easy for trailer hook-ups. Great service.
We purchased this camera to help get our rv in and out of a tight storage spot and to see behind the trailer while driving. The tow vehicle is much narrower than the trailer making it impossible to see behind the trailer even with extended side mirrors. This system allowed me to avoid cutting off any vehicles approaching from behind when changing lanes. The display was installed on top of the dash. The camera replaced the built in furion mount on the trailer. Due to short time, the cord was run externally. This kit is meant for a motorized rv, not a trailer. After opening the kit I realized I had to buy an extension cord to run from the display adapter cable to the rear of the tow vehicle. Then the cable could be disconnected at the trailer hitch.
When using the system, the display is good, but very narrow field of view, vertically. So I can either see traffic or see the rear of the trailer for backing up. A second camera would seem to be the best solution but not my favorite one.
The mic and audio did not work well. I could not hear my wife, but hilariously, I could hear cars at the rear. Might just be me ... I only ever used channel 2 which I thought was the only channel carrying audio. HINT: adjusting the volume was extremely painful until my wife figured out to adjust it on another unused channel.
The brightness could not be adjusted making it bright at night. I aimed the display downwards to help.
The instructions seem sufficient and are very brief. The system operates like a prototype rather than a finished model. But it does show the camera even with the display on the dash in the hot sun. We used it for the entire 3300 mile trip. It was on the entire time we were driving. I removed the display after returning home with my fingers, no tools.
Overall, I am ok with the system. I still think it was the best purchase for me considering the cost of other systems and the wireless connection problems of other systems except perhaps for the most expensive. Note, I read someplace that some states may not allow a display to be on where the driver can see it while driving.
Ez to install—plug and play. Complete wired system—much more dependable than wireless and a lot less fussy to use. I cable tied the wires under a 37’ Class A. Plenty of wire. Used the old wire as fish tape. Old system was 17 years old. Compared to that, this one is high tech but reasonably priced. The flat screen is lightweight and it was EZ to cut the dash to fit. Very happy with this backup camera. Good clarity. In reverse, grid lines appear. It’s good. BTW The pics of the monitor on the box is the old monitor which is huge and heavy compared to this flat screen.
The quality of the backup camera system seems to be fine although the system does not work as described. When hooked up as instructed to perform when in reverse, there is no audio available. I ended up connecting an additional trigger wire to get both video and audio to work on channel #3. This will affect future connections to channel #1 and 2. Very happy with etrailer’s attempts with the manufacturer to resolve the issue.
The best backup camera ever very clear.
Very happy with this package. It is a great replacement for my old system. Thanks for your help.
Always great prices and fast free shipping!
