Infrared LED Night Vision
This camera has 8 infrared LED night vision lights that produce a clear, quality picture and give you the flexibility to back up your RV in low-light conditions at dusk or in complete darkness at night.
Camera with Built-in Microphone and Monitor with Speaker
The built-in microphone on your camera is the perfect tool for backing up your RV. The microphone allows a friend to relay information and instruction to you through your monitor's speaker, providing peace of mind as you work together to safely maneuver your RV.
Rear Assist Marker Lines
No more wondering if you're getting too close to that other vehicle. The rear assist marker lines take the guesswork out when backing up. This helpful tool displays reference points of objects within your view to avoid collisions and safely maneuver your RV.
Motion Detection
The motion detect feature allows you to set the motion sensitivity level of your camera to low, medium, or high. On the low setting, your camera will not detect a pesky raccoon until it's very close or already in your garbage, whereas on high setting, it will detect the raccoon approaching from further away. Your monitor will automatically illuminate to alert you once motion is detected.
Auto-Off
The auto-off setting is a great power saving option. Working in conjunction with the motion detect setting, this feature allows you to limit the amount of time your monitor stays on. Once motion is detected, you can program your monitor to power off after 10, 20, or 30 seconds of inactivity. The LCD auto off option will only power down the illuminated screen while keeping the monitor on.
Quad Split or H Split Display
The quad split or H split display allows you to view up to 4 camera angles at once (additional cameras sold separately). Depending on your camera setup, you can view blind spots behind your RV or on each side of it while driving down the road or backing up.

Seem to be a great system so far but will take a long trip soon for a better evaluation. Installation was as easy as it gets because my travel trailer was prewired for a Furrion camera system. My only complaint so far is with the factory instructions being a little light on the pairing operation. I was getting extremely frustrated when my camera would not pair with the screen. I had power to the trailer but the blue light would not stay on for pairing. I finally started reviewing YouTube videos and trailer videos. I am not sure where I found it but the final solution was simple. So, 1) ensure the 7-way connector is connected to the tow vehicle, 2) ensure you haven't disconnected the trailer battery, 3) ensure your camera screen is plugged in, 4) actually start the tow vehicle and finally 5) turn on your parking lights. Why the parking lights have to be on I will never know because it is NEVER mentioned in the manual. If I turned them off, the camera lost pairing. Yes, parking lights are safer on the road but failing to pair if they are off just seems silly to me. Color screen has good clarity and remote microphone works pretty good.Depending on your priorities, you will have to adjust the camera angle to your liking but it's easy.1207746

It has been one year with the Furrion. Overall, its not a bad system. Night view is good enough. Wish I could pair my trucks backup camera with the Furrion screen. Backing into the sun obviously makes ANY brand camera useless. Only three gripes. 1 Still think it is silly to have to run parking lights in order for camera to function. 2 Occasionally when backing up and I apply my brakes, the screen will shut off. It resumes immediately after motion is detected which is annoying. 3 The wide angle camera lens is great for about 20-30 yards but any object beyond that is too small to see on the screen.

Installed on GD Imagine '22 2600RB and '15 Chevy 1500 Silverado double cab LTZ. Took about 15 min to install with pre-wired prep kit on RV. Got 5" monitor to keep from being too big on dash/windshield. Monitor is on windshield with suction mount right below rear view mirror and works great even with antenna folded down, very easy to pop off and put in console when not in use. You can also just rest monitor in the console next to power plugs, etc. Did not get the side cameras due to other reviews that they aren't really necessary, definitely agree not needed. The rear view however is a must-have if backing anywhere without a spotter. I can back out of my neighborhood driveway with somewhat limited sight and see everything in both directions Based on many internet reviews of other camera systems, glad I went with this: it was super easy to install and provides the basic purpose of backing up safely. I have no need to record or watch it continuously while driving, although it seems to work just fine while driving and not cut in/out as other reviewers have described after a couple hour round trip. Maybe higher definition systems out there with better features, but this unit has great quality and vision is very acceptable for the purpose it was designed, to assist in backing up. Simple, easy install, great value, just works!1450000

Product arrived sooner than originally estimated & w/o any damage. Installation took only minutes to compete & to have a functioning unit. Installed on the rear of a 35' travel trailer. Will be used used for the first time in the next week. Will provide additional details after we have a chance to shake it down.1184780
Comments
It has meet expectations & provided an addition measure of safety & awareness behind the travel trailer as many drivers like to draft or get to close before passing. Only drawback is the monitor is not glare free and at times difficult to view if not at the proper angle.

I haven't gotten the newer model installed yet. It is replacing a furrion on my 2019 Riverstone. Therefore the installation should be fairly simple.1485871

We are not new to pulling a trailer. I resisted my spouse wanting to get this system as I am quite comfortable in all sorts of traffic and can back up with the best of them. She would not give up and ordered a system. Our 2012 Ibex 19QBS came pre-wired with the dock already installed at the back of the camper. Installation could not have easier. The instructions are concise and clear. The components are well made. Off we went thinking this is a good way to not back into anything. Yes, that is true, but the bigger value to me is pointing the camera further back down the road to keep an eye on what is approaching. It is a valuable addition to decision making on passing traffic and lane changes. My only issue is I need some sort of glare protection on the monitor to make it easier to see in bright light. We are well satisfied with this product. As expected, e-trailer was easy to work with and meet their commitments.1336925

Great product! Competitive pricing and quick delivery from etrailer.com. Our Mini-Lite came pre-wired for the Furrion so the install was super easy. 4 screws and plug it in. Into our 2nd season with unit. I love how it essentially replaces your rear-view mirror while driving, and the wide angle in combination with my tow mirrors gives me great visibility especially on multi lane highways/interstates. Very confidence inspiring and stress reducing. One of those “how did I ever live without this before” products. Backing up with the guide lines and speaker is the bonus. 5” screen was the sweet spot for me. I can mount low enough to not block view, but screen is plenty big. Highly recommend.1310273

My van was fully customized and I would have had a difficult time hardwiring a backup camera. My radio was not video capable, so this product was perfect. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the video and never had an issue with the signal. I wired it into my light system vice my reverse lights, so I could have it on as long as my headlights were on. Very satisfied with the performance.1321153

the QR code worked for the product but I needed clarification so went to a [online video] site. There I was able to understand the very simple process. I modified the pedestal stand so it would fit in the center depression of my dash board on my 2020 Ram 1500. The system synced up almost instantly with the camera and once installed in the rear mount was able to secure a very clear rear camera picture. I can remove the monitor stand and secure it from view when not in use. The tiny screws for the rear camera can be a challenge glad extras were available as I lost two.1038424
I have put 13,000 miles on the trailer since installing the camera and it works great. I use it for traveling and watching the traffic around me. It has never lost connectivity but it is a short trailer (20') Don't use it much for backing up but I didn't buy it for that. You can easily tell when to move over safely after passing, you learn to give it a little extra room because the camera is wide angle. Works well at night also. I have the bigger screen and i put it and a dash cam under the mirror and it fits.1295055

Easy to install, But the trailer was prewired for the camera. The setup was also pretty easy but you needed to be hooked to the trailer with your lights on. The directions were a little vague on that but otherwise not a bad unit.1383402

Camera works great. Video is excellent. Only issue is the mount for the screen. Since I don't tow all of the time I don't have it mounted and the screen moves all around. Would like to see a cup holder style mount option.939785

Camera and monitor work great when hooked to battery power. Did not work when hooked to clearance light circuit on late model GM truck. Excellent range picture clarity.1210579

The camera needs a 12-24V DC circuit using 18AWG or larger cables to work. You must also ensure it has the correct polarity of DC power supply to the camera. Perhaps the running light does not receive the 1224V to power it.

We just drove across country with our 5th wheel. I find the camera is very useful when changing lanes and maneuvering in tight spaces. Just started using the audio, that is handy. Great picture. I recommend it.

Works great. Only frustrating thing (and it mostly the settings I have selected) is that the motion sense will turn it off while backing up.1372819
by: Steven 08/21/2021
I love this thing it works great. Some might want to opt for the larger screen. It helps me with depth perception. Way easy to change lanes now. I can quickly see how far back behind the trailer a car is. Also it run off the head light circuit, that’s where you power it from. So you have to tap into those wires. I always drive while towing with the headlights on to give power to the rear running lights and the camera gets that power1129529
The Furrion Vision S Wireless RV Camera System # FOS05TASF that you referenced is typically used for observation but it can also be used as a backup camera - it simply depends on which circuit you connect the power wire too (reverse light signal or a constant power source like the running lights). We label this as a backup system but it's official product title from Furrion is indeed "Digital Wireless Observation System".
This particular system works great as an observation setup with... view full answer...
The pre-wiring of your 2018 Jayco for an observation system is tied to the running lights for activation of the camera. This allows the camera to be turned on whenever you want by switching on the running lights. The Furrion system part # FOS05TASF that you referenced is the correct kit for your Jayco and will easily attach to the bracket on the back of the RV.
I attached an install video for this kit on a similar 2017 Jayco for you to check out as well. view full answer...
Yes, the reception of the Furrion observation systems like the part # FOS05TASF that you referenced is so good that metal trailers won't be an issue at all. Of all of the wireless camera setups this brand has the best reputation for great reception. view full answer...
I spoke with my contact at Furrion and the barrel connector size of the Furrion RV Observation Camera System part # FOS05TASF is 2.5 mm x 5.5 mm. view full answer...
It unfortunately sounds like a reception issue. Is there any way you clear out a better line of sight from the camera to the reciever? You can try turning off BlueTooth on devices like phones, tablets, and stereos to see if that helps. The range on this is only 60 foot so the better option is the Furrion kit part # FOS05TASF which has a range of 492 feet and has the best overall reception. view full answer...
The wireless camera I recommend going with is the Furrion Vision S Wireless RV Backup Camera System w/ Night Vision - Rear Mount - 5" Screen # FOS05TASF. This is the system that is prewired on most trailers so it is a very simple installation. view full answer...
The etrailer.com sticker you see on the Furrion RV Observation System # FOS05TASF that you referenced are only present on the particular units that we shoot pictures and videos with. The etrailer.com sticker will not actually be on the Furrion Camera System that you receive.

Yes, if you have the FOS48TA-BL installed in your 2018 Cardinal Fifth Wheel the # FOS05TASF that you referenced would replace that and give you a similar setup but with a larger monitor. view full answer...
What I would recommend is a backup camera installed at the rear of your horse trailer that has night vision so that you can see what's beyond the glare and the trailer you mentioned. For that the Furrion RV Observation Camera System w/ Monitor and Bracket # FOS05TASF is what I recommend. You can wire the activation circuit on your horse trailer to be a reverse light circuit (if available) or the running light circuit and the wireless signal will transmit easily to the monitor in your cab.... view full answer...
Based on my research your Forest River Stealth EVO 2460 is equipped with a pre-wired Furrion bracket kit to allow for easy installation of a Furrion camera system.
If this is the case I highly recommend the Furrion RV Observation Camera System with 5" Screen # FOS05TASF. The camera is designed to plug right into the pre-wired bracket on the trailer and the included 5 inch full-color LCD monitor will provide you with a clear picture of what is going on behind you. Are you sure the camera has power ran to it when the running lights are on? Can you test the power wire for it and also make sure the ground is good?

On your 2020 Jayco Eagle prewired for a Furrion observation system the power wire is basically just a wire ran to your running light circuit on your trailer wiring. It is not circuit protected and doesn't need any added. It's ran to this circuit though so that any time you want to see what's behind your trailer all you have to do is turn on the headlights or running lights of your tow vehicle! view full answer...
The Furrion Vision S Wireless RV Backup Camera System w/ Night Vision # FOS05TASF has a single trigger wire that you can run to basically any trailer wiring circuit you want but the easiest and best solution for most people is running it to the running light circuit as this allows you to flip on the running lights and see what's behind you at any point. So basically how this would look for you when reversing your trailer would be just a matter of flipping on your headlights or running lights... view full answer...
I spoke with my contact at Furrion and he thought your issue was related to having the side view cameras paired to the rear center display on the monitor and/or vice versa. He asked me to have you check to see if the rear camera is for sure paired to the rear display of the monitor.
This can be checked by going in to the menu and then selecting pairing and the location that the camera is paired to will have a red link by it. view full answer...
The Furrion Vision S Wireless RV Backup Camera Systems like part # FOS05TASF do not need to be covered over the winter as the camera housing is waterproof so you don't have to worry about moisture. That said you really don't want snow sitting on top of your trailer over the winter as it will surely find its way inside so I recommend getting a storage cover which I have attached a list of options for below.
If you can give me the year, make, model, and floor plan of your trailer I would... view full answer...
The Furrion cable connection that connects the camera to the trailer pre-wiring is a barrel connector in the size 2.5 mm by 5.5 mm with the kit # FOS43TASF. A 3.5 mm jack is basically an 1/8 inch headphone type jack which is different than this. view full answer...
The newest observation system from Furrion is not compatible with the camera from the previous system, and the monitor is not available separately, so if you are looking to replace your system you would need the entire kit, the Furrion Vision S Wireless RV Backup Camera System with Night Vision - Rear Mount - 5" Screen # FOS05TASF.
