Video Transcript for Review of the Rear View Safety Backup Camera System

Speaker 1: Today, we're gonna take a look at the rear view safety backup camera system with the quad view monitor. Now this backup camera system will come with four cameras, comes with two backup cameras to see behind you, two side view cameras to see what's alongside you. So it'll provide a complete view of any blind spots around your vehicle. The monitor itself will allow why to view each camera separately or all at the same time with multiple options in between. It includes everything laid out here on the table. We'll start with the monitor.

It's a digital 7" LCD quad view color monitor. It does have an adjustable stand with it. It also comes with a nice universal mount and all the installation hardware to install it. It even comes with a remote control. Here's the power connection wire, audio/video cable. Now the two backup cameras, comes with all the mounting brackets you need to install them, comes with the two side cameras with all the mounting hardware to install those and then over here, you have two 66 foot long extension cables for the backup cameras, two 33 foot long extension cables for the side cameras and a nice owner's manual to describe how to put this all together and how to use it.

Now the monitor itself, it's a quad view color monitor. It comes with a nice super sharp digital display, has a pixel resolution of 800 by 480. This monitor will allow connection of up to four cameras, has the ability to view each camera separately or all at the same time. It does also include distance grid lines, built in speakers and then its menu can be navigated with these on dash buttons or from the remote, which is included. The back up cameras, these colored cameras are built with heavy duty zinc metal.

It encases the 2.1 millimeter sharp lens. They do have a viewing angle of 130 degrees and 600 TV lines, so it means you get the best quality image with no blind spots. If you notice, they use 18 infrared lights on here to allow you to see up to 50 feet, even in the darkest night and then they put a foam around the lens. It'll guarantee no glare from the infrareds. These cameras do have an IP69K rating. They ride out any storm and will boast a 20G vibration rating and they do use the aircraft grade cable connector.

Side cameras are very similar. These are also made from a heavy duty zinc metal. They do come with a 2.1 millimeter sharp lens also. Their viewing angle is 120 degrees. They do use nine infrared lights, which allow you to see more than 30 feet in total darkness. They do come with mounting brackets and they also have a double face tape if you want to mount these flush to your vehicle. The side cameras are also completely weatherproof, have an IP69 rating, also shock resistant and a 20G vibration rating and they also use the aircraft grade cable connectors. But that should do it for the review on the rear view safety backup camera system with the quad view monitor.

Gives be great visibly on both sides and blind spots. Used the rear camera to watch my TOAD.

This is an awesome camera setup. I installed this on a 2012 Chevy Express cargo van. I mounted the camera to the top of the 3rd brake light cover and drilled a 3/4" hole to hold the included rubber grommet for the camera wiring. The wiring was simple, I found a fuse that is tied into the ignition switch and used a fuse tap to supply the minimal amps needed. I wired it so the camera is on whenever the vehicle is running, to act as the rear view mirror since the van has no rear windows. This is a high-quality kit and I am very happy with it.

by:

I bought a two camera setup, works great! One camera on the 5th wheel hitch, and one on the rear of the trailer. The camera on the trailer is setup to be on all the time I am driving. It really helps for backing up, but it is even better on the road. You can see cars coming up on the trailer and see if they are going to pass.

by:

This 2 camera system gives me a full view of the road behind me as well as providing a closeup look at my toad. The backup guide-lines let me drive my 33' Southwind backwards with a trailer without any problem whatsoever.....and I can easily switch between the full-road or close-up modes to check on my trailer/toad when going through dicey road conditions.

Very easy to hook up.....wire your power supply line and plug in the rest.

by:

This system failed after a few months and then neither the manufacturer or etrailer would stand behind the product. This is not a quality product.

by:

Still going strong. Great picture quality. I would recommend this if you are looking for and backup camera. Etrailer is a good company to buy from with excellent customer followup on you satisfaction.

by:

Everything we have purchased has been great! We are very happy with everything. The Sterling towbar, the rear camera are all working great as we start a new adventure.Thank you!

by:

Recieved my etrailer order yesterday. Received it very quickly, I ordered two items,

by:

Haven’t used the camera system yet but it was fast on delivery. The cameras and components look like they are made very well. Customer service dept. works well for the consumer. Thanks and I will give a review when installed.

by:

I have done business with etrailer for over 5 years. In every case I have found their pricing to be fair and their customer service to be excellent.

by:

by:

I took a look at the TripleVision system on your 2009 Tiffin Allegro Bus MH, and the Rear View Safety Backup Monitor # RVS-6137Q that you mentioned, and it will actually not work with your current system, unfortunately. This monitor is only designed to work with RVS branded cameras, and is not compatible with TripleVision branded cameras. However, the best solution as I see it, is to upgrade your current system. A great option that utilizes the # RVS-6137Q monitor that you were looking...

  • Do Side Cameras Come On with Turn Signals on Rear View Safety Backup Camera System RVS-062710
Yes, you can install the Rear View Safety Backup Camera System with Side Cameras Item # RVS-062710 to have the side cameras come on when a turn signal is engaged. There are instructions that explain different ways the cameras can be activated and this is one of the methods explained. The Rear View Safety Backup Camera System # RVS-062710 is a really solid option that would give you 4 cameras you could have mounted on your 2007 Damon Tuscany 4072. The monitor is bigger at 7 inches and the cameras have night vision like you are wanting as well so it would be just what you are looking for. I attached a review video for this for you to check out as well.

  • Why Would Observation System Have Side Camera Come on With Running Light Circuit
What you described sounds like a short between the running light circuit and the right turn signal circuit which would cause the side camera to come on with the headlights/running lights. So basically what you'd want to do is go over the wiring of the side camera on the right side and see if you can find where the two circuits might be shorting out to each other and fix as necessary.

  • Can I Integrate A Backup Camera Using A U-Connect Screen And Furrion Back Up Camera On 2021 RAM 1500
We can definitely get you setup with a backup camera for your trailer. There will be some things we have to work around to get this setup properly. First, the Furrion cameras will only work with Furrion monitors, so you will not be able to use the U-Connect screen with the Furrion camera. The trailer camera pre-wire package will only work with a backup camera on the truck. The Furrion camera dock will house a camera on a separate system keeping an eye on the rear of your travel trailer....

  • Can Side Cameras of RVS Monitor and Camera Kit Activate with Blinkers
You can wire the Rear View Safety Backup Camera System - 4 Camera Setup - Quad View Monitor # RVS-062710 so that the side cameras activate with the blinkers. For the switch circuit to activate the side cameras you'd need to tap into the blinker circuits and you'd be set. In the instructions that come with the kit you'll see a section on how to do this. Basically you run the side camera "triggers" to the blinkers and that tells the cameras and display to show each camera's view when either...

  • Troubleshooting An RVS RV Camera That Stopped Working
The Rear View Safety Backup Camera System # RVS-062710 is a pretty much closed system with each component having a connector to connect to the wiring instead of splicing. Most likely the camera that isn't working has a loose connection so you'd want to start by removing the camera from your motorhome and checking the connector to ensure it's fully secured. From there you would need to trace the wire up to monitor checking every connection point for anything loose. If you find each connection...
