Note: Aluminum causes interference to the wireless connectivity. If you have an aluminum trailer it is recommended that you go with a wired system like RVS-770613-213.

Today, we're going to take a look at the rear view safety wireless backup camera system with the 7-inch quad view display, has a built-in DVR. Now, with the quad view display, this system could connect and view simultaneously up to four cameras, and it can even record video footage from each camera individually. This system has multiple viewing options including single screen, split screen, and quad view. The footage will record on to an SD card, and it loops over any oldest recordings when the card gets full. The system is perfect for RVs, trucks, trailers, and all commercial vehicles. It's best when it comes to vehicle safety. We'll start with the wireless monitor.
It's a 7-inch quad view monitor, again, with the DVR. Comes with a super sharp digital display, has a pixel resolution of 800x480. Does have the distance gridlines that come standard with the monitor, they are optional and adjustable. This flat monitor has the built-in DVR, allows you to record all camera views, and its SD slot can hold up to 128GB SD cards. This monitor can also record each camera individually, has a wireless distance of 70 feet.
Give you a dimension on the monitor itself. It's right at seven inches long, overall height on just the monitor is five inches tall, and depth on it is only about one inch deep. Now, the wireless backup camera, which is this right here, this colored camera is built, has a heavy duty zinc metal which hold in case the 2.1 millimeter sharp lens. Has a viewing angle of 130 degrees, 540 TV line, which means you get the best quality image with no blind spots. If you notice right here, it has nine infrared lights, allows you to see up to 50 feet even in the darkest of night, and they do flick inaudible 00:01:38 around the lens that guarantees no glare from these infrareds. The camera does have a 20G vibration rating and an IP68 weather-proof rating so it'll hold up to most of the harsh weather conditions. A few measurements on the camera itself, length on it is right at three inches long, the camera is just two inches tall.
When it's on its mount it is about 4 inches tall. The depth of the camera is only right about two inches. Now one last note I do want to mention is that aluminum can cause interference to the wireless connectivity in the system so if you have an aluminum trailer it is recommended to go with a wired system. That should do it for the review on the rear view safety wireless backup camera system with the 7-inch quad view display with built-in DVR.

The RVS-4CAM works very well and was easy to install both the camera and monitor. The only negative thing I noticed was that because the system is wireless there is sometimes signal loss at highway speeds which can be somewhat annoying. The product quality was outstanding compared to a cheaper no name brand that I had tried earlier for a different vendor. I highly recommend both the camera system and etrailer.
The backup camera is working good after a year on my RV. I’ve got 2 cameras on the back of the 5th wheel, one point to the traffic behind and the other at the cargo rack on the bumper. It’s piece of mind going down the road and Im able to check on cars behind me before switching lanes. My first monitor only last 18 months and I had a lot of black outs this one seems to be much better. I would buy it again.
Although RVS advertises a range of 100 feet, I found the usable range to be considerably shorter, even using the optional ancillary antennas. The picture quality is average, and for the price I expected it to be better. Also, the wiring was a challenge and I had to send the system back to RVS to have them diagnose the problem and provide the correct wiring instructions. Finally, the windshield suction mount is totally inadequate. The cup will stick to the window for a time, but in cooler weather or other circumstances the entire mount and camera falls off of the windshield, creating a significant distraction to driving. All in all, I wish I had not purchased this product. As it turns out, due to the issues I've had I really never use it.
I purchased this camera system about one year ago to put on my 20 foot enclosed car trailer. Installation was very easy and picture quality has been exceptional. Great product, great service, would buy again if the need arises.
Received order quickly. Bench tested system and it looks great. Will install shortly on travel trailer. Looks like you need to use hard wire power on monitor for audio to work. Blue wire probably to power source when in reverse. Directions do not discuss.
