Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a quick look at the rear view safety backup camera system with rear sensors. Really, this is three different components combined into one system. It's going to provide you a more comprehensive view behind your trailer or motor home or large vehicle. You're going to get your sensors that will allow you to be alerted to anything that's behind you.
It's going to help give you the distance behind your vehicle. So as you're backing up, you'll know if anything is close by. You've got your camera here, which can be mounted on the rear of your vehicle. It's got a 130 degree viewing angle. So it's going to give you a nice wide view of everything that's behind you.
It's got a infrared night vision on there so you can see up to 50 feet at night. So you've got even in the low light conditions, it's going to do a good job for you. This is IP69 rated, so it's going to keep out any dirt and moisture. It's going to last a nice long time. You're not going to have any problems with that. It's also 20G rated for vibration and 100G rated for impact, so it's very durable.
Going to do a good job showing you what's behind your vehicle as you're backing up. And we also have our monitor here. This is a seven inch TFT digital LCD color monitor. It's going to show us what our camera's seeing. It's also going to integrate with our backup sensors to show us that distance that we have behind our vehicle.
And this system is really built. It comes with one camera, but it's got capabilities of up to three. So if you're doing all the work to install this, you're set up for adding two more cameras in the future. If you wanted to add one on each side of your vehicle so it could become like a monitor. As you're turning left, you can set it up so that it automatically jumps to your camera on the left side of your vehicle, so that you can see the lane next to you. If you make sure that it's all clear before you change lanes. Same with the right. They've got the trigger wires in there, so that when you activate that turn signal it will switch to that camera. So it's going to be a very easy to use system. Like I said, it only comes with the one camera. But if you're running all this wire and everything for the one, it's nice having that add on capability so that you could add those two more cameras in the future if you'd like to. And you don't have to run nearly as much wire down the road. This does come with all of the cables, connectors and mounts that you're going to need to get this installed. And it is going to be quite a bit of a process to get all this run. When you're running your wires and cables, you want to make sure that you're staying away from anything hot or moving. They do include an instruction manual, a user's main product manual. The one that came with this kit was not super helpful. It gives you a general idea, but we do have a more detailed one on the product page here at etrailer.com that should help you get this all installed and make it more convenient for you. Overall, I think this is going to be a great kit to help increase your visibility, so that you can more safely back up or add cameras on, so that you can see all around all sides of your trailer or motor home or large vehicle.Just going to give you extra peace of mind, knowing that you can see everything that's there. You're not going to have to worry about hitting objects or potentially causing personal harm to someone else. So great system, very much a do it yourself kind of thing. You've got all the materials that you need, it's just going to be installing it. You do get just over 60 feet of cable to run from your camera up to the front of your vehicle. So it's going to be made for large vehicles. And it might take some work to get it all installed. But once it's installed, I think it's going to be a great addition for you just to help, again, give you greater peace of mind and increase your safety. That's going to complete our look at the rear view safety backup camera system with your rear sensors. Thanks for watching.

Still going strong. Great picture quality. I would recommend this if you are looking for and backup camera. Etrailer is a good company to buy from with excellent customer followup on you satisfaction.
Product as advertised. Service excelled fantastic!
I have done business with etrailer for over 5 years. In every case I have found their pricing to be fair and their customer service to be excellent.
WHAT A JOY DOING BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY, EASY ORDERING, RECEIVED EVERYTHING I ORDERED IN A VERY TIMELY MATTER.
Gives be great visibly on both sides and blind spots. Used the rear camera to watch my TOAD.
This is an awesome camera setup. I installed this on a 2012 Chevy Express cargo van. I mounted the camera to the top of the 3rd brake light cover and drilled a 3/4" hole to hold the included rubber grommet for the camera wiring. The wiring was simple, I found a fuse that is tied into the ignition switch and used a fuse tap to supply the minimal amps needed. I wired it so the camera is on whenever the vehicle is running, to act as the rear view mirror since the van has no rear windows. This is a high-quality kit and I am very happy with it.
I bought a two camera setup, works great! One camera on the 5th wheel hitch, and one on the rear of the trailer. The camera on the trailer is setup to be on all the time I am driving. It really helps for backing up, but it is even better on the road. You can see cars coming up on the trailer and see if they are going to pass.
This 2 camera system gives me a full view of the road behind me as well as providing a closeup look at my toad. The backup guide-lines let me drive my 33' Southwind backwards with a trailer without any problem whatsoever.....and I can easily switch between the full-road or close-up modes to check on my trailer/toad when going through dicey road conditions.
Very easy to hook up.....wire your power supply line and plug in the rest.
This system failed after a few months and then neither the manufacturer or etrailer would stand behind the product. This is not a quality product.
Recieved my etrailer order yesterday. Received it very quickly, I ordered two items,
a back-up camera system and sensor set-up. Very pleases with what I have seen of it. Will install it this weekend, can't wait.
Haven’t used the camera system yet but it was fast on delivery. The cameras and components look like they are made very well. Customer service dept. works well for the consumer. Thanks and I will give a review when installed.
