No matter how big your RV is you'll likely have gear you'd prefer not to store inside. This carrier lets you transport generators and fuel cans, so your storage compartments don't smell like gas. You can also strap coolers, luggage, and other bulky objects on it to free up space inside your RV. Lastly, it's great for carrying wet, dirty, or smelly items outside of the RV, keeping your interior clean and odor free. It has raised side rails that help prevent your gear from sliding off and provide multiple anchor points for a cargo net, bungee straps, or other tie-downs (sold separately).
Most RVs don't have hitches installed, so if you want to use a cargo carrier, you'd have to install a hitch receiver. However, this cargo carrier mounts on your RV's bumper, so you don't need a hitch to carry your gear. It's also designed to provide better load distribution across your bumper than a hitch-mounted carrier.
When the carrier is not being used, you can fold it up against the back of your RV. This is convenient if you need a little extra space at the campsite, if you're travelling but not carrying any gear at the time, or if you're parking close to a fence, a shed, or a garage. To fold the basket up, just remove the snapper pin from each arm assembly, fold the rack up toward your vehicle, then reinsert the pins through the holes in the top of the mounting brackets.
The carrier is easy to install. Just slide the mounting brackets over your RV's bumper, spacing them 17-5/8" apart (inside edge to inside edge), and secure them with the included M10 hex bolts. Attach the main arm assemblies to the mounting brackets with the included M16 hex bolts. Attach the basket to the main arm assemblies with the included M8 carriage bolts. The included support brackets mount to most RV frames to reinforce your bumper and prevent metal fatigue that can cause your bumper to detach.

You don't need a hitch to install it and you can fold up if you need a little extra space for parking.I think the Carrier is well built and well-designed. with the I-frame on my trailer, the braces are not as effective. I am going to have a machinist make it stronger. I am mounting the spare tire on the underside of the carrier. It will work well.
I wish they would have designed a small amount of "rake" into the rack so that it doesn't sag down so much. 5-10 degrees of upward angle designed into the carrier would make it perfect.
The back of the carrier naturally sags down with weight on it. The sag really isn't hurting anything, but it does look bad. You can see the sag even in etrailer's posted pictures. I used some rubber shims on the bumper mounting brackets to try and correct the sag. It looks better but not perfect.
Overall, the quality of the product is pretty good. I think it is going to hold up okay, but the sag definitely bothers me. I actually tried to return the product, but etrailer charges $[XX] return shipping, so I decided to keep it.
Like I said, if they engineered a 10 degree upward angle into the "L" brackets, I would be more satisfied with my purchase.
If I had to do it again, I would buy a carrier that mounts to the top of the frame rails instead of clamping to the bumper. The bumper clamps allow too much movement for my liking.
Cargo Carrier works great. I have been over 7000 miles with it carrying coolers and a generator haven't had any problems at all. It frees up alot of space in the truck bed. I like that it folds up when not in use.
It is great, easy to mount and sturdy. Takes care of all our diesel cans, wood storage boxes and if needed our generator.
Received the cargo carrier very fast..I installed it with no problems and the only thing was drilling the holes for the braces..I am just to damn old to be laying on the ground and to weak for this part but guess what gotter done and after a couple of cold beers I couldnt believe how strong I ..Was actually very easy to do and I would recommend this to any one.. Excellent service, order shipped within one day. High quality bumper cargo rack for our travel trailer. Excellent packaging and the hardware was put together so no second guessing when installing. Would definitely recommend this product.
The Hitch pins wouldn't line up and I had to drill the holes larger. I'll call once I get back from vacation.
Just received Cargo Carrier, haven't had a chance to install yet, but I am sure it will be as advertised as everything is on etrailer. Customer service is second to none!
When I received this rack I originally mounted it on the trailer with the full width (all three pieces). I haven’t figured out a better way to carry my spare tire for the trailer and the rack and tire carrier conflict with each other for mounting purposes. I decided to remove the center section of the rack which makes the rack 61-1/2” wide and allows keeping the spare tire carrier mounted. The picture shows the current configuration. I am able to carry a 3500 watt generator and 4 folding chairs on this configuration which frees up more room in the back of my truck. I was hoping to be able to keep the generator on the rack while running but there is too much vibration in the trailer for that to work. I don’t think putting isolators on the mounting brackets would quiet the vibration enough for that to work so I still have to unload the genny before I run it but it’s easier taking the genny on and off this rack instead of my truck bed. The rack is well made and heavy duty enough for my purposes. After one year no negative issues have occurred.
Towed it all the from AK to D.C. on the back of our camper loaded with a yeti 110 loaded with drinks, 10 gallons of extra fuel, and inverter generator. Used a little stronger bumper support than what comes with it due to the long trip but is one of the best purchases we have made.
The rack is of great quality and heavy. Welds look good and rack was in good shape cosmetically. Doesn’t flex at all like the single point hitch installed carriers. Also there is more ground clearance since the rack sits above the bumper. Make sure you have a beefy bumper that can handle the weight as the extended rack is probably close to 80lbs assembled. etrailer was phenomenal, as always. Ordered on the Tuesday before Xmas and received on Thursday. There isn’t a better online retailer. Only bummer is that sales tax is being collected for Texas now.

The rack has been invaluable over the past year. Great option for those, like me, that have no storage space in truck bed 5th wheel but need to haul firewood, coolers, bikes, etc. The only con identified after a year of use is the coating. The rack is painted, instead of powdercoated which has resulted in it easily scratching and fading. The scratches quickly rust if not hit with some spray paint occasionally.
Great rack. I loaded (2) Honda 3000 Generators and a 28" wide trunk full of tools and a hydrolic jack on it and drove from San Diego to Idaho without a problem.
The only issue I have, and that is why I only gave it 4 stars, is that the back of the rack sits too close to the back of my trailer and I can't fold it up to the verticle position when not in use. Needs about another 1 to 1.5 inches of space between the rack and back of trailer.
The ordering process was very easy after deciding which product worked best for me. It is a solid piece and relatively easy to install. The prices seem high for what it is, but the pricing was comparable to other sites.

Works great. Holding up as expected.
I love this product. I have used it on 2 separate trailers and haul my BBQ pit and generator on it and have had no issues. Holds up well and is built with high quality material.
The boxes were delivered in very bad shape. I couldn't put the center piece in because it was to bent to attach, I could only use the two outer pieces which are also bent. It doesn't line up correctly and is very uneven. There are a lot of scratches on it. I did get the two outer pieces to connect and I'm leaving for a trip on Friday so I suppose I'll just store the center piece until the sight of it irritates me enough to throw it away. I ordered it about a month and a half prior to receiving it and the customer service was great at keeping me updated about the shipment, but other than that, extremely disappointed.

Started to rust before it was even a year old
This is a very well built rack. Assembly was easy and all the parts fit together correctly. It fit right on to the 4 inch bumper properly. We have used it twice so far and it is easy to put up into the storage position when not needed. I did add one of the tailgate strip LED lights to the rear of the rack to increase visibility when I have something larger on the rack that might hide my RV tail lights. Very satisfied with this rack.
We are putting it on right now! Thanks for getting it to us so quickly! My Husband keeps saying I can't believe how well made and sturdy this carrier is.

Haven't got to put it on yet because I'm waiting on the bumper to get here but definitely a solid rack. I was a little disappointed (only reason it didn't get 5 stars) because the side peices are powder coated and the mid section was painted, Also one of the side came with some scratches on it like it was from a different kit. Mine will be used thoroughly so not a big deal I'll just add some paint to it. But for quality of build definitely 5 stars. Just gotta do a little better on quality checking before shipping.

Overall I think this a good rack I wanted it for the weight capacity and the size. The mounting brackets and arms are good quality. The basket/rack is a little thinner material so during assembly it will bend if your using an electric impact. The instructions aren’t very detailed but if your pretty handy with tools and drawings it’s easily doable. Due to my rear ladder for roof access I won’t be able to fold the rack in the upright position, but for my needs this won’t affect me . We had no missing parts which is a huge plus! I intend to haul my generator and two totes and this rack will do the job.
We bought this foldable cargo carrier then asked to install with the new bumper we bought there. However, the purpose of being foldable was useless and no remedy offered.
This carrier is heavy and well built!
I was concerned about the bumper tube being strong enough to support the extra weight I planed to place on it so I had 1/8" flat strap metal welded over the bumper tube and main brackets for added strength. We make an annual trip of 3000 miles and no troubles at all.
The modular design for different sizes is nice and I definitely like the fact that it can fold up out of the way.
I don't ever think it could break in any way but if it did I would replace it with the exact same thing.
