Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with e-trailer.com. Today we're going to take a quick look at the replacement strike plate for your RV baggage doors. This is going to be designed to work with your Global Link baggage door lock, but it will also work with most other RV baggage doors and latches. Very simple to get this installed.You're just going to install two screws there on the inside of your luggage compartment, and then this lip will fit over the sill there so that it gives a nice, solid stainless steel place for your latch to catch onto. Because this is a stainless steel construction, it's going to be very corrosion and rust resistant.
So it should last you a nice long time, do a good job for you.Our measurements overall, we're looking at right about two and a half inches, total width or height. When we have this installed, it's going to be right about three quarters of an inch tall. It does come with just the one strike plate, but if you are needing a new strike plate for your RV baggage door, this is going to be a great option for you. Stainless strike replacement. Don't know where the other one went but this is exactly like the other strike plates. It is great for baggage door longevity. Don't want to use the aluminum frame. Not only will it damage your door frame it happens fast on the soft aluminum. I also believe it improves security as it is Individually anchored to the frame and the side panel. Works for me.
Worked as they should not sure why they don't give you screws not a major cost Factor ?. I installed two of these on a compartment door that were missing from the factory and first owner had made some Rigged pieces that didn't work on an $80,000 rig dumb. Anyways give it four stars because of no screws ?. Would have given five stairs if screws were there and didn't have to run around looking for screws

Great product good quality ss was ez to install after getting screws lol. But after I installed them they work great and hold compartment tight. Would buy again if needed
This was exactly what I was looking for. My trailer has a slam door on my pass through. They had this exact part where the door slams down. On one of the doors the factory completely forgot to install the part. It was identical to to on on my other door.
etrailer staff was very helpful with advising me by phone as to the correct part I needed for replacement. Their web-site inventory review format is great and their inventory is exceptional.

Stainless, no rust, still there. Hope I dont need another but if one disappears Ill get another one of these.
