Today on our camper we'll be taking a look at and installing the Lippert Components RV entry screen door latch, right hand, Part Number LC201471. Also available is a left hand, Part Number LC201472. Secure your screen door with the Lippert latch. It's made out of a durable plastic construction with an easy to use spring loaded lever. Now we'll be going over some of the features and go ahead and show you how to get it installed. We're just simply going to replacing our old latch.
It was broken, so I had already removed it because it was in pieces. We just need to make sure the flat end of the latch here sits nice and flat and flush up against the screen door. We're going to be using the same holes that our old latch was on. You will need to provide your own hardware. As you can see with it being aligned up just as the old one was perfectly, it's going to strike with the striker and be perfect.
Let's go ahead and get that mounted up. The hardware I'm using here today is just a bigger self tapper. That way it goes into the same hole. Perfect. In addition to the screen door latch, you might want to consider picking up the Lippert Components RV outside striker for the screen door and that's going to be Part Number LC198252. That's going to do it for our Lippert Components RV entry screen door latch, right hand, Part Number LC201471..

It works well. The movement did not catch the latch, so I had to take index cards and make shims so the latch works like it should. I would suggest adding shims redrawn and punched to make the kit better.
On time delivery and order was what I expected. Will buy here again.

I got the latch info from my RV manufacturer, but *not* the exact part number. But for this particular part, getting the left hand/right hand version is critical. Only etrailer had a FAQ covering that. The pictures helped a lot, too.

The product is working well.
Again I’m extremely happy with the way my order was handled. I ordered it on Saturday and it was here by Friday.
Fit and finish is still good and hasn't failed yet!

Pictured was a right hand handle, however the item is a left hand handle, so I did not get what I need. That is a confusing way to do this. I am drilling new holes so that it will accommodate and snipping off the pegs. Frustrating.

The Lippert Components RV Entry Screen Door Latch is a left hand handle part LC201472. If you need a right hand handle, youll need part LC201471.
Hi, I ordered an RV screen door latch, by my mistake I ordered the wrong side and I called, and the lady was extremely helpful and very courteous, I do not remember her name sounded like she said Allison not sure? but her extension # is 72969 she helped me to order the correct one and showed me how to send the incorrect order back for a refund minus the cost of the return label being sent to me, I will always shop at etrailer for my RV parts or anything else they sell. Not an exact replacement for my model, but with a little finesse, works as it should.
This screen door latch was the right fit and works perfectly. Installation was relatively easy. It’s a small thing, but without it, there becomes a huge problem getting into my RV!

easily adjustable and very strong, used to tie down a grill to floor of trailer and hold some steps against the wall.
Not very springy. I still have to raise the lever to close it because it doesn’t spring back into place. Second latch I’ve tried. Can’t seem to find a decent one. Not even with spending a little extra.
