Speaker 1: Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Performance Tool ATAK solar motion light. This is a weather proof light and it has a max output of 460 lumens. So, this is going to be a really easy to use weather proof light. It is solar powered, as you can see that little solar panel up at the top. So it's going to provide you with a long lasting light. You don't have to worry about changing out batteries any time soon with this.Any additional power or excess power that's generated through the solar panels will be stored in the internal lithium battery.
The total charge time to get a full charge for this is eight to 10 hours. It is powered again, by that lithium battery, which will be charged by the solar panel.This is an easy to install, no tool, required mount. It comes with two small double sided foam tape pieces so you can get those stuck onto the back. There's two little indentions there. So you can those in place.
You can also use the two screws to get this mounted up. That also comes with two anchors for those screws if you need them.You can use both the double sided tape and the screws or one or the other, which ever works best for you.This is going to have lifetime LEDs so there's no worries about changing any bulbs with this. It's going to work for a really long time. There will be three settings. Right now, we have it set to off.
You can set it to the low setting, or the high by flipping that little switch. Go ahead and turn out the light so you can see how bright that is. So, on the low setting, it'll have a max lumen output of 270 lumens. We flip it over to the high, that's going to be a max output of 460.So you can see it's much brighter than our low beam setting. And this will give you that 30 seconds of illumination, whenever motion is detected.
So after 30 seconds it will automatically turn off, as you see there.And it's, again, just going to be a really easy to install long lasting light. It is weather proof. It has an IP rating of IP 65, so that's it's going to be completely dust proof, so no solid particles are going to get into this and cause any damage. It has that water proof rating of five, so that means it's been tested with water jets, so it's going to be able to withstand any kind of weather or rain or snow out there.So again, long lasting, easy to use light. As far as the dimensions with this, the housing is going to be about six inches wide, by four inches. And then the height is going to be about two inches.So that's going to do it for our look at the Performance Tool's ATAK solar motion light.

Sixteen months ago my off-site garage/shop building was completely destroyed in a 105 mph windstorm. A friend bought me (!!!!) a 48' van trailer to store what contents (tools, etc.) had not been destroyed or ruined in the 3" of rain that fell. The replacement building is almost complete now, but in the meantime I wanted a security light (there is no electricity on site), so I bought the ATAK Solar Motion Light and mounted it on the top of the trailer. It has worked flawlessly and provides strong light over a very satisfactory area, and is sensitive to motion as much as 100' away. The site has gone unmolested for over a year and I recommend the product.

I just tried the two solar / battery operated lights that I will put on my RV , One for each side. The light was super brite and I believe I will use the lower setting. I wanted light to see the key hole on the entry door and this will do the job. I have only tried them out and hope they work as well a year from now as they did when I first tried them using only the batter power.

It does its job, But I was really hoping it stays on. I relized it was motion. there is 3 settings, Off , High and medium light, I read all the instructions, I was hoping when it gets dark, It stays on, am I missing something?

The lights are still working out good. I put them on my house. One over my grill and one by my front door. I put tape on the sides because it was to much light. I am very happy with them.

- Is ATAK Solar Motion Light Easy to Uninstall in Order to Change SettingsThe ATAK Solar Motion Light # PT701 is definitely easy to remove so you won't have any problems doing so whatsoever. This light can be mounted with either the included peel-and-stick tape or the included mounting screws so what I recommend is first using the tape and then if you want to change the setting from high to low (or vice versa) you can re-mount it with the screws or just locally source some more peel-and-stick tape if you'd rather do it that way.
