Video Transcript for Empire Faucets RV Dual Lever Handle Kitchen Faucet Installation

Brad Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we are taking a look and installing the empire faucets dual lever handle in a brush nickel finish. So you'll see right out the gate here we have a nice goose neck design. So this is gonna be great because you can actually swivel this to each side. That way, if you're working on one side or the other or you have a larger sink you'll be able to get that water sprayed where you need to. At the end of our goose neck we have a standard flow aerator that has water pressure needed to clean the dishes faster and aeration is gonna help get that fuzziness going on and kind of make it easier to clean up your hands or whatever you're washing at the sink. Both of our handles are quarter turn, washer-less cartridges.

So the that's gonna be nice because long term you don't have that friction. And they're gonna last a lot longer than your standard washer style cartridge. Now the faucet is a non-metallic ABS plastic but it does have this brush nickel finish on top of it. So it really does give it a kind of stainless feel to it. And it does feel high quality even being plastic.

Now, this is just a quick easy way to give your RV kitchen a nice new look or replace your old faucet. If you're having issues with it. Now, this is going to be a two hole installation and it comes with the deck plate and the mounting hardware. So you'll have everything you need to swap out your old one and it's gonna be pretty easy to just drop and go by making a few connections, just using your hands as it does use the standard mill MP SM connections. So to change out your faucet, whether yours is broken or you're just updating, for both should be about the same.

And we're gonna show you how to actually change yours out. Now, first thing you're gonna wanna make sure that you have the water supply shut off to the camper. And you're also gonna want to open up your valves just to make sure all that water is actually out of the system. That way it's gonna keep that water coming out of the pipes when you unhook it down to a minimum. So once you have the water dispersed out of the system you're gonna want to make sure you have access to where this sits in the actual sink.

Now, many times it's gonna be hard to visually see where they actually connect into the sink as it's kind of tucked behind the basin but really you're gonna reach up and each side will have a connection to the valve. And it's just gonna be a simple hand tightened on fitting and to get these off generally there's tabs molded on to 'em to make it pretty easy to just screw these counterclockwise and they should come off. Now I do recommend having something close by to catch any residual water that might come out of the pipes as you unhook 'em. A helpful hint while doing this, make sure that you denote which actual line goes to which side that way are not crossing up your hot and cold. It's not hard to flip 'em but it is gonna make a little bit easier. So you don't have to crawl under here. Now sometimes you do have color coded lines like your pecs, which will have the red or blue making it pretty easy. Or sometimes the run is a little bit longer than the other but either way, if you needed to know it it's gonna help you long term getting this installed. So I'll just reach under here and with my thumb on the fitting, I can find the grease there and just turn this counterclockwise until it becomes disconnected. So having one side down, this is kind of what it looks like. So as you can see you need to is put your thumb, kind of reach up, feel this and you should just be able to turn this counterclockwise. Most times, these plastic on plastic don't bind up that much. So you really shouldn't have to put a pipe wrench. This should all be done just with your hands. If it is cross threaded, and you need to do that that's something you're gonna want to make sure that you're fitting on your actual plumbing line is okay. Before putting your new one in but pretty easy to get this off. So let's go ahead and we'll get the other one taken off as well. Now you're going to see where you just attached your water line from, reach up a little bit higher and there's going to be a keeper nut and same principle here. There is gonna be molded in tabs to make this coming off a little bit easier. And this is simply just mounts the actual faucet to the sink. So go ahead, reach up there. And you're gonna want to remove those as well. With both of the keeper nuts removed. Now, our faucet is ready to come out. This is gonna be a good time. Any pretty much any time you take off an old faucet there's gonna be just a little bit of build up here. So I'd go back with a little bit of isopropyl alcohol and just kind of clean this up. That way It's gonna have a nice clean surface to mate too when you put the new one on. So with our surface all cleaned up we're ready to drop in our new faucet. Here's our new empire faucet that we'll be putting in and it's gonna install pretty much the opposite way that we remove the other one. So it does come with two new keeper nuts. So you can use your previous ones or you can use the new ones, doesn't matter. But at this point you might want to get a little bit of tile or some cog for your sink. You can just put a little bit of bead here because once we put, press this in and tighten this down with the keeper nuts that's gonna create that water tight seal making sure you don't get water down in the bottom where your sink cabinet is. So I have it in place. I'm gonna just take my keeper nuts here and I'm gonna just put it on to where it's slightly snug but I can still get a little bit of movement on it. And that way we can really dial it in exactly where we want it by moving left right forward, whatever just to kind of get that perfect fit. Now with that, just kind of snug. I'm able to kind of line this up and I can see the lines where our previous one was. And even with cleaning sometimes there's just lines left over. So I'm gonna move this up just to kind of hide that and then center it up exactly where I want it. And as I hold that in place, just tighten on the keeper nut. Now this should be hand tightened only. You're not gonna want to use a wrench to tighten these down too much as it can put a lot of stress on that plastic. And really just the twist of your hand should be enough pressure to keep that in place. So with both of those tightened down it's very secure feeling. So now we can take our water lines and hook those up. Make sure that your threads are lined up properlyLined up. We tighten those down again, just hand tighten them Now with our proper water lines hooked up to our faucet and tightened down by hand. We're ready to turn the water supply on and we're gonna check for leaks. So have these shut offs still. And once that water's there it's gonna build that pressure up. And if you do have any leaking occurring from those fittings you're gonna wanna shut your water supply off undo those fittings, re tighten 'em up make sure they're nice and snug, and also seated properly. And then you're ready to test out your faucet and start using it. And that was a look and installation of the and empire faucets RV kitchen faucet with two lever handles and a brush nickel finish. Thanks for watching..

I would rate the Product a #3, only because it did not include the fact that the faucet head did not rotate , as I needed that because we have dual Sinks ! It was the only one offered that had the right measurement between the two water line inlets thru the counter ! I had to buy a pivoting nozzle that did not work out well, and am still trying to find one that we can make work ! The Manufacturer did not offer any solution ! Thanks !

We will be installing next week. It looks very straightforward.

I was able to install this by myself without tools. I received EXACTLY what I ordered. My shipment arrived sooner than I expected, so I installed and tomorrow I’m pulling my Horsetrailer to a new adventure. I’ll buy from you guys EVERY time I need something for my trailer.

The faucet was very easy to install and it works great, and it looks great.

Arrived quickly, fit perfect with easy installation!!! Perfect

ordered the empire faucet for my brother's RV. Haven't installed it yet,
but it really looks of great quality, and the price was very reasonable.
Also, delivery time was very quick. Highly recommended.

Your shipping turnaround was quick. When the package showed up, it was nearly destroyed during the shipping/handling process though. It was shipped in it's original manufacturer's cardboard box, which was not up to the heaving handling of shipping via carriers. So it was bent, torn an open when it arrived. Fortunately, the contents were all there and the faucet was not damaged. In the future, you should consider reboxing into a heavier container before shipping items like this. I decided not to send it back, because I was in a hurry to install the item. Fortunately for worked fine.

Delivered when expected. Even nicer than I expected! Thank you

Fast shipping. Easy install. We'll see how it holds up this summer

Product received in timely manner was pretty. Easy to install.

This is a replacement of the like it that broke. They didn’t lubricate the O-ring seals. The faucet is very hard to turn. That’s why the original one broke. I took this one apart and lubricated it myself. Much better.

Thank you for the fast delivery!

  • Can The Empire Faucets Hybrid RV Kitchen Faucet Be Installed Without The Hand Sprayer?
The side sprayer on the Empire Faucets Hybrid RV Kitchen Faucet w/ Sprayer # EM82CR can be installed separately form the faucet, however you'd have to find the correct fitting and hose to match the existing piping, which may be a pain. Instead, I recommend getting a faucet without a hand sprayer like the Empire Faucets RV Kitchen Faucet # EM65FR. This faucet has a similar footprint as # EM82CR, but has a two-hole installation as oppose to the 4-hole installation for # EM82CR.

  • Kitchen Faucet With A Removable Spout For A 2019 Forest River Rockwood A212HW Pop-Up
The Empire Faucets RV Kitchen Faucet # EM65FR does not have a removable spout like you're needing for your pop-up. Instead, take a look at the: -Phoenix Faucets RV Kitchen Faucet # PF211326. This faucet, unlike most faucets, has a removable spout like what you're needing. However, since this faucet has a pretty low-profile design you may not even need to remove the spout.

  • Can Brita Filter be Used with Empire Faucets RV Touchless Kitchen Faucet
If you're talking about the Brita filter that is connected to the end of the spout then you need a standard faucet like the Empire Faucets # EM65FR. If you were to use the Empire Faucets # EM23PR then the filter would cover up that sensor and you would essentially have a standard faucet at that point. What I recommend doing is using the Empire Faucets # EM23PR that has the motion sensor and then adding a filter prior to the faucet like what we see with the AquaFresh Exterior Water Filter...
