Hello, neighbors. It's Steven here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at our Valterra Universal Drain Valve for the RVs, and it's a three eighth inch and a half inch barbed white fitting. So like I said, it's a universal drain valve. Very simple. It's a hard ABS plastic.
It's gonna give you nice durability for many, many months and years to come. Simple open and close of the valve here. That's how it operates. And like I said, this is gonna fit the drain of your RV fresh water tank. As I mentioned before, it's got a three eights or a half inch hose connection.
So if you're using a half inch, you simply snip off right here where the half inch starts. So the very back of that three eighths, you just cut that off, and then you're there for the half inch. If you need the three eighths, push that three eighths as far up as you can, and put your clamp on it and everything and you should be good to go. Now the mounting holes on this will let you mount this securely, and the hardware is not included. That's sold separately.
The distance between these mounting holes is 1.45 inches. It's got a nice one year warranty. And again, this is the Valterra Universal Drain Valve. I'm Steven. Thanks for watching, and have a great day.

Still going great. opened and clsed perfect even after the winter months.
Started leaking within a week of installation. Not at the rear, where the hose clamp seals the down tube to the inlet, but within the valve. Replace with billet aluminum inlets and steel/brass valves -- no more plastic drain valves for this camper.
The part fit our 2005 Coachman Chaparrel Pull Type Camper perfectly. We had looked at several camper parts store and couldn't find one that fit, but etrailer.com came through for us! Great price, quick service and arrived at the post office safe and sound.
Exactly what I was looking for and easy to order.
Item was smaller than original. Original was tightly fit into the hose. This one required to the hose clamp to be overly tightened just to get it to seal. Item does appear to be not as well made as original.
Plastic is a bit flimsier than the other Valterra stuff I bought, but OK. Didn't come with new screws like the other stuff did. Bummer.
My order was just as I expected. It was priced very reasonably and came in the stated time period. Great job by etrailer.

Sorry to hear. If the size is right, you may just need a hose clamp to get a tighter fit.
After a year, still works.
Plastic is a bit fragile such that care must be taken when opening and closing not to bend the opening tab.
A great drain for my rig, I even open it to wash my hands outside or get water for the dog bowl while out camping.
Works great easy install old one was 45 yrs old and turning to granules of plastic.
The barb was not the same size as old one,but replaced barb on tank to modify and will work fine. ..early arrival...friendly help...would order again

The product works but is minimal. It’s been in use for one year and is certainly adequate. Something a little more sturdy would be ideal
