Hello, neighbors, Steven here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at our Dometic RV Furnace that runs on LP gas with an automatic pilot light, 12 volt current and rated at 30,000 BTUs. This unit includes the white access panel or door, however you want to call it. Now, folks, this furnace can quickly and efficiently heat up the interior of your RV or camper. It can replace or upgrade or add a furnace. Now, I do wanna pop off this front panel here, and show you some things close up.
Now, first and foremost, this guy here, that's gonna be your cover as far as going into the pipe there. Your LP gas hookup is underneath this rubber plug. It comes that way with shipping. You get a plastic front fascia, and that marries up with the metallic white front fascia. Now, as far as some dimensions and everything, this guy is 16 1/2 inches wide, seven inches tall, and 20 inches deep or long, however you wanna describe it.
Now, you will need a thermostat, that's sold separately. I'll put that on number on the screen as well for you. Keep in mind the color of that thermostat is black. That is an option that we have here at etrailer.com, and you also need some RTV Sealant or a butyl tape, that's sold separately, and also some number six or number eight by 1/2 inch long panhead type AB screws or self-tapping screws. Again, those are not provided, you'll need those separately.
Now, coming in from the front, there is a switch right here in the front, on/off. There's also an LED light that you probably can't see too good, but the LED light would flash if there is a diagnostic code for faults or anything like that. So, it would flash like a sequence of some sequence type, and then per the instruction manual, the troubleshooting codes based on the number of flashes and all that, that would tell you what's going on with the unit. It has an automatic DSI gas pilot that's gonna reduce risk of gas leaks and increase fuel efficiency. You can boondock with this because it runs on propane gas, and you wouldn't need an electric hookup, and it does also mount either horizontally like I got it here or vertically, it's up to you.
Now, you'll notice you got the two vent duct option attachments, three on the back, three on the other side, and two on top. You're gonna get three of these duct adapters. Those would pop out and you'd use these however you need, and where you so choose. Now, I told you earlier, you're gonna need some screws and stuff that's sold separately. They do give you four of these little screws. That is gonna be for that front main fascia, and then also on the other side here, you've got these two mounting brackets and two little screws that are short. Those are gonna be for mounting the unit and kinda holding it in place into the wall and everything. The whole unit is ETL-certified. Now, I do recommend to everybody read the instructions before you try to tackle a job like this if it's something that you even wanna try yourself. If not, get a qualified professional in your area to get the install done for you. But read the instructions, make sure you're measured for the cutouts correctly in those kinda things, and again, this one comes with the white fascia included. As you saw, you also get a nice length of wires here. Two blues for the thermostat, black for ground, and red for power. Well, folks, I think that's gonna wrap it up. Just a real quick look today at our 30,000 BTU with included white access door panel here by Dometic. I'm Steven, thanks for watching. Stay warm out there.
