Hello, neighbors, Steve here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at our Dometic RV Furnace running on LP gas with an automatic pilot light running on 12 volts of DC current. This unit's rated at 20,000 Btu. And folks, there's a quick closeup of the front, and I wanna back back out and show you some dimensions real quick. We're getting 12 inches across the front of this, so the width maybe, and then 20 inches deep or long, depending on how you have it orientated, and seven inches tall overall. So again, nice, light, compact.
It can be used horizontal or vertically as far as the mounting, so very flexible there. This is a great furnace that will quickly and efficiently heat the interior of your RV or camper, 5th wheel, motorhome, coach, those kind of things, travel trailers. It can either replace, add, or upgrade your current furnace. You're gonna see these pop-outs on each side, there's also one on the bottom here underneath the table there that you can't see, but I double checked that before I put it down. So you got multiple, multiple options as far as the air ducts.
They give you two included duct adapters. Those will go basically where those pop-outs pop out, depending on where you specifically need them. Now. again, it's a propane-powered system. The gas line comes all the way back here to the back, and that's where your connection point is.
That's a standard threaded connection point for LP or liquid propane gas. Now, that's gonna make it great for boondocking. Yes, you need 12 volts for the automatic DSI gas pilot, but you got two wires for thermostat and then a red and black for positive and negative for the 12 volts, and that's gonna use the battery power for a quick lighting of the ignition to then light the propane. So again, you don't have to be shore power hooked up or anything, so that's nice and easy to use off grid. So again, it has an automatic DSI gas pilot that's gonna reduce the risk of gas leaks, and also increase your fuel efficiency.
And it will continue to relight automatically until the heater is switched off. Now, you've got an off and a reset button here up top. You got that control panel module there. There's an LED light kinda in the bottom middle of that, it's red. And it's going to flash diagnostic codes if there's any false detected. So maybe it's out of gas and you don't realize it, it may flash a light. And on the instruction manual under troubleshooting, it would then tell you what those specific flashing sequences represent, so you can quickly remedy the situation and get back going. Now, you do require a manual thermostat that's sold separately, or mechanical rather, and that's the item number on the screen there for you if you need that or if you don't already have one, but it is required to run the system. That way, it knows when to turn it on or off. Now, if you so choose, you could purchase maybe a access door that would be sold separately as well. They do include this heat shield muffler looking guy here. Potentially, this would be on the outside wall, and then you'd have butyl tape or some kind of RTV sealant, again, sold separately, to complete that install to keep everything watertight and bug-proof and everything. Now, this whole unit is ETL certified. Again, 20,000 Btus of power, of heating rather, and just a great little compact unit. Again, we offer this in multiple options as far as different sizes, dimensions, et cetera. So if this is not the size you want or need, check out the product page for maybe related items. And we sell these in different styles as well, you can pick one up here at etrailer.com. Well, folks, that's gonna wrap it up for a quick look at this 20,000 Btu rated Dometic RV Furnace running on LP gas. I'm Steven, thanks so much for your time. Thanks for watching, and have a great day.
