Extension attaches to your RV ladder using rubber brackets to close the distance from the bottom rung to the ground. Save your knees and your bumper when climbing up to the roof, remove it when you're done, and store in a cargo compartment.

Specs:
Tired of climbing up onto the bumper to reach the ladder on your RV? Or perhaps you have bad knees and can't reach your ladder's higher-up bottom step? This rustproof aluminum extension attaches to the existing rear ladder on your RV or camper and bridges the gap between the ground and that first step. Because the bottom step is much more accessible, you'll be able to climb up your ladder more easily and without putting any additional strain on your joints.
Whenever you need to do maintenance on your RV roof, use the built-in brackets to position this ladder extension where you need it onto the bottom of your existing RV ladder. Then install the locking cage pins to the vertical uprights of the ladder and secure them onto the brackets. The brackets and locking cage pins are rubberized, so they won't scratch or dent your ladder. To make sure this extension is sturdy enough to bear the maximum weight capacity, it needs to be set out at a 12-degree angle.
The stepping areas are grooved to give your feet some traction while you're climbing the ladder, even in the rain. This prevents you from having to step onto a surface that can get slippery such as your RV's bumper or the smooth, bottom bar of your factory ladder.
This compact ladder extension is very easy to stash away once you remove it from your RV. It's lightweight so it's easy to carry to storage. You can tuck it away and out of sight in a smaller closet, RV cargo compartment, or anywhere else you're able to fit it.

The step up to the fixed-in-place ladder is too high for safe access so this extension is the perfect match. Easy to use, easy to store in place with the ladder using the support brackets on the top of the extension and then holding in place with bungee cords.
Always excellent service.
I recieved the package late but it was not etrailers fault. Usps had some weather issues and could not ship my package.
Extremely fast service.
I have a Dutchman Voltage V-3905 Toy Hauler. etrailer recommended that I get the LA-401 ladder and the LA-148 extension, as the original 110" ladder is not available through etrailer, and cost over $300 from Dutchman through Camping store. The two items came to just over $100 so I got the free shipping. I placed my order yesterday at about 2pm. They were delivered to my house by UPS at 10:14 this morning, wow!
They look very good, I don't plan to install them until this spring when it warms up a little (presently we have 15" of snow on the ground). I will add an update and a photo afterwards.
Just what we needed. We are very happy with the quality. Arrived in the time frame expected. We will be ordering from etrailer in the future.
HAPPY CAMPER
Y’all never disappoint, both the product and service were great.
etrailer has always been very fast and outstanding with the numerous times I have ordered from them.
Nice doing business with a great people even when she took my order very professional thanks guys
Shipping was fast & no damage. Ext. Ladder (LA 148) will work fine. The LA 401 Ladder is okay except the attachment arms are too short for the odd shape of my RV.
Very good quality and fast delivery
Exactly what i need
Product is exactly what I wanted and service was exceptional

We Love it. No need to lug around an additional ladder just to get to the RV ladder
