Carol, the lock after a little adjusting fit my door opening, but still had a little trimming and tapping to do before it sat square in the hole. it only has the deadbolt from the inside the latch lock it only engaged from the outside of the door. You Got the lock Here and got us back on the road! Thank you Roy1654274

It took me a while to find the right lock . When I opened the box and checked it out it was perfect. I installed it myself and I have had no problems with it .1691402

With only one lever inside, the new lock is easier to use. The 2nd keyhole on the handle only locks the handle on the outside, not the inside.1492209

Customer service was very helpful over the phone with helping me find the replacement door latch with deadbolt. Softouch 1997 3 horse trailer. Order arrived in about five days took about 10 minutes to install.

It fit right , it works right , locks right but but the reason for 4 stars an not five is for some reason on the inside there is just barely enough room to get your finger tips behind the handle to shut the door.... I thought about trying to bend it out a bit , then realize I would probably break it not bend it so we live with it1456467

Much better build quality than the original I had on the coach. Received one that was damaged in shipment and then one that didn't work. As usual etrailer was fantastic. Sent replacements no questions asked. The third one was perfect and is working perfectly.1650626

Fit great on my older Dutchman motorhome. Had to slightly modify/grind the doorframe with a dremel because the 2 striker bolts were about 1/8" longer that the original ones. other than that, super easy to install, took about 3 minutes.1609967

Bauer Motorhome door lock was fairly easy to install. Had to Dremel a small 1/4" area for clearance to install new lock assembly. Other then that, it fit very well. The Only problem I ran into was my Old lock used (3) 10-32 screws and since No screws were included I had to get (4) 8-32 to finish the installation.1592727

This lock requires the cut out to be 5.25 inches wide by 4.5 inches tall. We do have a lock that is smaller. It is part # BA54FR. The cut out dimensions for this lock are 2.75 inches wide by 3.75 inches tall.

This is a quality lock. When you look at the innards the internal cover plate is attached with screws not blind rivets. This means that if there is a mishap and you need to work the lock from the inside you can without destroying the lock BRAVO Bauer and BRAVO etrailer for selling quality stuff!!!!1596193

Construction of the product is fine was just baffled that the strikers are no longer adjustable so I had to do extra work to get them to fit into my door entrance latch1605374

While the lock fit the hole in the door, the surface plate did not cover the same unpainted area on the door. Also, there was not instructions included.1252755

This product does not come with instructions but you should be able to unscrew the door handle from the inside of the camper to take it off and this one would install the same.

After being locked in and outside our motorhome numerous times during vacation, then having to just leave it unlocked, it was a breath of fresh air buying this very nice, sturdy door lock replacement. It is high quality, much better than the original lock set. Fortunately, we carry tools that many people don’t. I recommend replacing the plastic entry door set on every rig before the same disaster happens to others. After researching the original lock set, I discovered they usually have a 10 year life span, such a disappointment in the world of RVs. These new replacement entry locks are quite inexpensive and made to last.1437752

Our 2008 Jayco Seneca takes a lot of abuse. The side door sees a lot of traffic on race weekends and I had to replace the main door latch with this one. After a year and many race trips with kids (and adults) constantly slamming my door, this latch has held up well and is still perfect.1461524

The only reason I gave it 3 is because there was confusion is the shipping. Initial shipping info was delivery date Oct. 5th by 7PM with tracking #, and carrier was UPS. Oct. 5th no show. Checked tracking and it said "no delivery date available at this time". So a couple days later it shows up unexpectedly in my USPS mailbox!! How did it go from UPS delivery to USPS delivery?? With the delivery package theft problem we have these days, we customers need to know where our packages are at all times. No surprise delivery s please.1445450
