Convection vs Microwave vs Combination Cooking
Convection cooking distributes and circulates heat throughout the microwave oven, which not only heats the air, but pushes it around to cook the food quicker and more efficiently than a standard microwave. This type of cooking is best for baking and browning foods, such as cookies, cakes, pastries, quiches, and soufflés.
Microwave cooking targets the liquids inside the food, stirring up the molecules in the liquid to heat food quickly and thoroughly. This type of cooking is best for anything with a high amount of liquid in it, such as beverages, soups, and frozen foods.
Combination cooking utilizes the energy from microwave cooking to cook food quickly, and the browning aspect of convection to cook food thoroughly. This works best with foods that take a long time to prepare, such as meats, casseroles, and breads. The included metal shelf provides good air circulation and even browning, producing the best results for cooking in your RV.
Venting options
Since This microwave functions as a range hood, helping to cut down on food odors and keep your kitchen clean. During installation, you can set up the microwave for different venting options. To setup the microwave, follow the illustrated installation guide included in the box.
The microwave can be set up to vent air outside of your RV, either out of the top or out of the back of the unit. Doing so drastically cuts down on lingering smells from cooking and filmy buildup in your kitchen. This is an ideal choice if your RV already has ductwork installed already.
If you don't want to drill a vent hole into the side or roof of your RV, the microwave can also be set up to recirculate the air inside. The integrated charcoal filter helps capture grease particles and cuts down on odors. Since it will not need to be hooked up to ductwork, this is the best choice for the easiest installation.
Cleaning the Filters
The easily removable charcoal and exhaust filters located on the top and bottom of the microwave catch grease and exhaust. To remove, simply slide the filter back and pull down. To clean, run the filter under hot water and use a mild detergent.

The first order was damaged in shipping, Etrailer made it right that day. Emailed shipping label and processed replacement order. Etrailer reboxed new unit to prevent damage. Shipment was perfect. Highly recommend this company. Exact replacement microwave/convection oven.

This thing was garbage. Totally damaged parts on the inside. See photons of damage. I didn’t figure out the damage until I had to take the cover off because it wasn’t working. Then it was too late to return to etrailer. Had to fight with Furrion to replace and they replaced it with another damaged one. Finally got a new one after 6 months of fighting.

This unit has been installed but not used except to test functions, which seem to work as advertised. Unit replaced a Whirlpool 1.9 c/u and looks like a factory installed product which was important to us. The original unit had a 1” drop down bracket mounted to the slideout ceiling which I wanted to retain so I had to make some bracket modifications to get the factory-fit appearance. That made it more complicated than the plug-and-play installation described in other reviews.
Overall it turned out fine and we hope to get many years of service.

The microwave is good, but it arrived with a dent in the outside corner and inside frame where the door closes. We installed it because we didn't want to go to the Hassel of returning it and getting another. I feel like we should get a compensation credit of some kind for the dents.

We purchased this Furrion RV Convection Microwave as a replacement for our Motorhome. I have used it only once since having it installed, as our Rig was at Camping World for a list of repairs and replacements on this new-to-us-motorhome. We dropped it off on Dec. 30th 2022, and picked it up sometime in August/September 2023. Would be happy to give you a review after I've had more time to use it.

I was shocked in receiving my microwave with dents and the box was slashed on one side. I called customer services of Etrailer and they made me feel at ease that they are able to send a replacement. Without hesitation they sent the new microwave..I received it before the actual date that was promised. Which in this case was right in time brie the New Years!
The new product was installed today and working excellent. I am really happy and would definitely order from your company again in the future.

The product showed up in a damaged box with all the packing foam in pieces and the microwave dented and bent.

I was weary about ordering since numerous reviews mentioned damaged box and damaged product. My box was damaged and there is a small dent. We will not be able to install for a couple of weeks but we did test it and it seems to work fine. Better packaging is needed for sure.

We did get it installed, the screw holes that were there for the prior microwave did not line up. Not sure why my hubby thought they would. Lol But other than that it seemed to go pretty smooth. We had made some popcorn in it before we took it to the camper.

I had to replace my original Furrion unit after three years. The control board when out and they do not offer a replacement board. R-trailer had the best price out there. I ordered and oven arrived in 4 days. After installing noticed small dent on side of oven. I place cup of water inside to test. All seemed fine at first. About 40 minutes later oven came on by itself. This happened again about 30 minutes later. Spoke to my neighbor who repairs ovens and he recommended oven be replaced. Contacted etrailer. 24 hours later a replacement oven was in it’s way. Received new oven, installed, working great. It’s been a long time since I experienced such great service. Anna, George. I started to leave a review, and initially clicked 1 star, because the microwave arrived dented up on multiple side except for the front face. I tested to make sure it works and since it did I went ahead and installed it. Also, this is the second time I've had to order this same microwave since the first time it was damaged enough to where UPS would not attempt delivery. Frankly, it needs more package cushioning instead of just what the manufacturer provides.

Well, initially the microwave went back order as so many things do today. No big deal. Once it arrived I inspected the packaging and it looked ok. However, once I removed it from the box, the left rear top corner was crushed. One end had two scratches and a dent. Not enough to cause any installation interference. So, I went ahead and installed it. Seems to work ok. The manufacturer really need to improve the packaging. The styrofoam is far too thin and not dense enough. Also not enough clearance between the oven and the box.

The convection microwave came to us dented. However, we were without one and needed it, so we installed
it anyway. It works fine and was exactly the same as the old one it was replacing, with the exception of the dented part near the exhaust fan filter.
