Hi there power hungry campers. Today, we're going to be taking a look at Mighty Cord's 50 amp twist lock female to 30 amp male adapter cable. So you might've been in a situation before where your trailer's got this 50 amp twist lock connector here at the back, and you get to the campsite and the only hookups they have are 30 amp hookups.Well, this adapter is going to allow you to go from that 50 amp on your trailer or your RV to that 30 amp so you can make that hookup. Or maybe that campsite that you really wanted to go to didn't have electrical hookups, so you borrowed a generator from your buddy or you having a generator here like the one we've got from etrailer. This one here only has a 30 amp hookup as well so you're still going to need that adapter to get the power you need. With this adapter here, we can easily make that conversion.
And we've got plenty of extension cables available here at etrailer.com. But with a 30 amp extension cable, like the 15 foot one we've got here from Mighty Cord, we can easily use our adapter on our trailer. Plug in over there and then get to our generator or our hookup at our campsite, whatever we need to hook up to. I'll show you how easy it is to use. We're just going to line it up with our prongs there, twist it into place, and then tighten down our lock ring. This will ensure that our cable can't come disconnected while we're attached to our power source.
We don't have to worry about that popping it and anything shorting out our prongs. And now we've got our 30 amp end that we'll need to connect to our campsite or generator. We can just plug in our extension here first, and then we'll go over to the other end of our extension cable and plug it into that power source. And with everything hooked up, it looks like we've got power. And for most people, 30 amps is going to be enough power to run just about anything in your trailer.
So you can have that AC and that refrigerator going and enjoy all the commodities that you're bringing with you. Our adapter cable here is 12 inches in length to help extend it out from your trailer. And on the end of our Mighty Cord here, as well as our extension cables, it has easy pull ends so we can pull those apart without worrying about accidentally reaching our hands around and touching anything there. The cables have nice heavy duty coatings over everything. This thing feels like a beast.
I mean, I'm pretty sure I could run this thing over and it would probably be okay. And that completes our look at Mighty Cord's 50 amp twist lock female to 30 amp male adapter cable.
