What's up everybody! It's AJ with Etrailer.com. Today we are checking out, this power adapter. Now what this is gonna do, is be a 30 twist lock Amp on this side, and 50 Amp on this side, so we're gonna flip it around, you gonna plug it into your rig, that way it converts it if you have to pull-up to a camp site that only has a 50 Amps spot, you can plug it in and get 30 Amps for your rig, let's check it out! So taking a closer look at it, you can see how it works, you got the twist end lock here, and this is gonna convert your 30 Amp outlet to a 50 Amp, now that doesn't mean your gonna get 50 Amps, that means it's gonna down convert, just so you can use this plug so like I said before, if there is not a 30 Amp plug available, if it's broken, you need to use a 50 Amp, you can use this and will down convert for your rig. So I just gonna go ahead and plug it in, you just slightly twist it, that way it locks into place, I can't pull back out, you see, and then to further protect it, you have this, here on the outside, you just twist, and further fasten it, and that kinda protects it from the weather and stuff like that, and also helps if, you know, somebody was to come by, and kick the cord that's plugged in, it wouldn't pull right back out. You see I have to line-up the groove just right, to get that tightened out. Now we're gonna plug in, our 50 Amp plug, right here, to our adapter, and then run this in to our generator.
Now down here by the generator, we'll go ahead and plug this in, now you don't want to do that so you could get the generator started, but, we're not gonna start it inside, I'm gonna run it outside then re plug this in. I just wanted to show you how it plugs-in in here. When the generator running outside, I can come here, check the lights, looks like it's working just fine. It's constructed out of rubberized plastic, sounds pretty heavy duty. It's not one of those brittle, plastics that's very plasticky is the only way I can describe that, where you feel like if you're gonna break it, it's gonna chirp or you could crack it, this is really solid, you're not gonna do anything with that, it's gonna be fine when you drop it.
The only thing I would worry about, and be careful of is the plastic ring that tightens on there. But I can still, squeeze that, and it doesn't show any signs of crack and would break, and so I think it will hold up just fine as well. Overall, I think it's a good thing to have, it's good to have these different adapters in your rig, because you never know what the camps sites gonna have when you get there. So I would always rather be prepared that way you can always run power and don't have to drain your batteries. Well I think that does it, thanks for hanging out, I hope this helped..

Everyone else was asking 3 - 4 times more and had a wait period of 3 - 6 weeks before shipping.
It arrived yesterday and I will try it out this weekend.
Thanks for the fast shipping.
Exactly what I ordered but I ordered the wrong one, and called etrailer - Andy helped me arrange for the return and confirmed the correct one. Ordered it - great customer service, really appreciated the patience and process assistance!
The first impression of this unit is a solid 9 out of 10. The fit and finish is solid, the only thing I would like to see different is an increase in the retaining rings robustness. As for Etrailer.com I’ll never go anywhere else for my trailers needs. Top notch company, nothing but 5 stars for them.
Exactly what I ordered! Well, Matt at etrailer "went to bat" for me as I ordered the incorrect connection the first time. THANK YOU MATT!!! My error was corrected and I received prompt shipment! I haven't had a chance to use it yet, but looking forward to it!

I have used the adapter a couple of times now without any problems. It sits right on top of my generator waiting for the next time I need it.
