Purchased this so we could tie our portable generator into our main electric panel to avoid running extension cords thru the window during power outages. You do need to have a licensed electrician install a generator interlock kit so you are disconnected from the grid while on generator power, we also had a switch with LED that ties to the grid so you can tell when the power is back on.

Still working great, we’ve lost electric service twice since installing the outlet. Freezing rain in early February took out power for 68 hours but we were plugged in and back up on the generator within 10 minutes.

I haven't had a chance to install this item as of yet 9/11/20, due to rain in my area. Should clear up this weekend then I'll replace the old one with the new white one should look & work great on my RV this is a perfect match to my old black one. But customer service in helping select this item was outstanding Alex J. is a great customer service rep. I've purchased other items from him for my RV. Once the original trap door for the cord was removed the hole was slightly larger than expected but with a little ingenuity it went on and has performed with no issues. Love the LED power indicator on the lid.

The product was just what I was looking for. It was a replacement for an existing Shore Power connector on my camper. It has an additional feature where a small light on the cap illuminates when power is connected. The prior one did not have that. Now, we can confirm we have power at the post without going around the trailer to check inside. This is a big improvement. Also, when you lift the outlet lid, it will stay at an open position, making connecting the 30 amp power cord much easier. I have not used it yet other than to check it out after installation, but I find it already much more user friendly. Also, the design of this one is different, in that the outlet lid is hinged in the middle of the top instead of on both sides of top. This allows water to drain off and around the outlet when the lid is closed and not in use. The prior product I had was hinged on the top but at the sides, with a drop in the top between the hinge points. This allowed water to sit up there, and it would eventually seep into the power outlet under the lid when closed and snap shut. This is also a big improvement over my prior product.

I've had the 30amp furrion power inlet for about a year now. I installed it in a small homemade camper in the outside wall just like a manufactured camper. It installed easily and works very well. I've used it several times at State Parks and it was perfect. I leave the 30 amp power cord plugged in all the time at home so the camper has power for a dehumidifier and lights etc.
No problems in heavy rainstorms either. I definitely recommend. Thanks etrailer

Excellent product to replace the factory installed power connection for our 2011 Keystone. Opening into the camper is completely sealed to keep out critters and cold. Power outlet is heavy duty with a cover that should last forever. Easy to install.
I recently installed a new motor and gearbox for the landing gear on this fifth wheel.

I am using this to replace a bad outlet on our camper. I think I ordered the wrong part.
I assumed that the plug came with this as a kit. Its all good, we can find a plug for it

Unfortunately the power inlet for our trailer got ruined. I went with this Furrion plug and am extremely pleased with it. It is much more durable than the OEM part that came with the unit and as a bonus it has light indicating power or not. Our trailer had a 2 1/2 " opening and that is what I was looking for. They appear not to be any standard size for a replacement unit so be careful to measure closely if you are replacing one. The Furrion has a 2 1/2 " diameter back so it fit perfectly. It appears to be heavy duty compared to some brands I looked at that were much cheaper. Etrailer was prompt in getting it shipped out and arrived exactly when they said it would. The shipping costs are very reasonable compared to others I looked at. I would highly recommend this unit and Etrailer.

- Required Hole Size for Furrion 30 Amp Power Inlet # 431861The rear port/socket on the Furrion 30 Amp Power Inlet # 431861 you referenced has a diameter of exactly 2.36 inches so it will fit your existing 2.5 inch hole without issue. In fact the full install manual for this unit recommends a 2.5" hole to be cut so this will work perfectly as a replacement. I have attached a couple images to assist.
