What's up, everybody. It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna be checking out the Duplex Outlet Cover. One of the cool things about the Duplex cover is that the covers don't both come up at the same time so I can just pull this one up I just wanna plug in something right here, I don't have to have the whole cover come up and expose this so this one's still covered or protected. It's not like the other ones where you have to open up the whole cover and that's just kind of useless 'cause there's nothing gonna be plugged in there. As you can see, it's starting to snow so it's gonna be beneficial to keep this other one covered up just so the elements stay out of that socket.
Take a closer look at the cover. It's gonna be a waterproof cover. It's got the seal that goes all around it so to keep any of those elements from getting in to your rectangle outlet that's on the inside. Even has a textured finish on the covers here and that's gonna help you so if it is rainy or snowy, you got something to grip onto to even if you have gloves just to pop this up. Now they're also spring loaded so they'll stay up.
You don't have to worry about them just kinda like falling back down on their own. When you pull it up here, it stays there and you can push it down and it closes on its own. Now you have options as far as colors. So we have the black one here. They also come in white and we can show you that one on another rig out here that's been on there for a little bit longer but you can see how it holds up.
You can see where the sun hits it the most. It has discolored just a little bit but it's still there. The seal is a little bit underneath on this one so it's not right here at the corner but it's underneath there so that's still holding up too. The spring load still works when you lift up the covers and it still has that texture. Looking at a different style cover, now this one is gonna be the single cover so it's just one.
You lift it up, it has both outlets there. It doesn't stay up on its own. And you can also see if you look at the outlets see how clean this one is and how dirty and dusty this one is. This is the one they probably use all the time and it's plugged in. And so this one's exposed for no reason because it's just one single cover. So hopefully showed you the benefit of getting the Duplex style. It never hurts to keep that outlet protected and like we saw on the single cover it's no use to have the whole thing open if you're only gonna use one plug. That's just gonna deteriorate that plug over time. You're probably gonna have to replace that. So I'd rather get this cover. That way I can use whatever outlet I want. If I wanna use both, I can. If I just wanna use one or the other, I can do that too. Well, I think that does it. Thanks for hanging out and hope this helped..
