Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this SmartPlug RV Marine White Data Port Inlet. Now this data port inlet, if you notice when we open it up, comes with one blank insert with a plug in it and one open port, so that you can customize your RV or boat's connection options. This is compatible with HDMI, coaxial, ethernet, USB, and even USB-C snap in connectors that we do sell separately. That'll snap right in place in here.
And just to demonstrate that, I pulled one of those connectors, this one happens to be the USB-A connector. If you notice, if I flip this around, all you have to do is take that connector, put it in there. And then just push it into place, and it snaps right in there and holds it. And now you have a USB-A connector. Make your connection back here, and then you'll be able to connect your cable right there.
Now it also comes, if you noticed, if you have a second connection you wanna make, let's say if you wanna put a HDMI in there also, all you have to do is take out this plug. Comes with this black plug. You just pop that plug out, and now it gives you another open port that you can put another connector in there. As we mentioned, those connectors, we do sell separately. Now, if you're not using it, we do always recommend to put the plug back in there.
And that plug will just snap right into place, and now you're all ready to go. This will give you exterior cable jacks, so it allows you to easily connect your RV to campground cable services, or satellite. The material, they are UV resistant, IP56 rated material, so it'll hold up in extreme climates or out of the water. Now if you do use the SmartPlug design on your RV now, then this data port will match your smart plug setup, while giving you the same weatherproof protection that you're familiar with. Has the same mounting flange pattern.
It is a white non-metallic construction. All the plastic parts are UV and heat resistant. If you notice, when we open it up at the top on the lid here, has this foam gasket in the lid and that'll create a weatherproof seal when you close it and it's not being used. And then when you open it up, you just pry up on it, and it opens up and you can access it. Now this does install into standard size cutouts, and the seals using this included adhesive back foam mounting gasket. If you just flip it over, you can see when you go to install this, just like that. And you can install it, there's no messy caulking needed. And then just to show you to remove, if you wanna remove it and replace it with a different connector, they just pop right out and you can put other connector in there if you need to. This part is made in the USA. But that should do it for the review on this SmartPlug RV Marine White Data Port Inlet.

The plug is what I ordered and just what I needed, thank you.
Easy install and looks good. Am going to be getting Starlink soon and hope to use the blank for the Starlink Cat6 port.
It’s SmartPlug. The best.
The hole pattern was the same as my old plastic receptacle cover. Fits an Airstream camper.
