Today, we're taking a look at a Furrion vented range hood with a 12 volt fan. This range hood is designed to ventilate, smoke, remove odors, and provide additional lighting while cooking in your RV.There's a few things that I really want to point out about this unit that makes it a very good option when it comes to range hoods. And there's two smart features that's built in.So we have what's known as climate smart, so RVs and campers, you know, they experience a lot of different temperatures, especially if you store it in the winter and it's not getting used and it's experiencing colder temps and then you're using the summer and it's experiencing very warm temperatures. So this has what's known as climate smart technology. It's a technology that's designed to help keep the range hood running even in the most extreme climates. It also has vibration smart technology, which helps the range hood resist vibration, which anything moving down the road experiences a lot of vibration, whether you feel it or not.
So your TVs, your microwaves, anything that's installed in your camper RV. So this has that technology built into it so it's designed to withstand vibration.It does feature a 12 volt fan. So let me flip it over here and you can see that the fan is this area right here. It also has an led light to illuminate the cooking surface directly below the hood.We have these tabs right here which allow us to remove the panel, so if we need to service the fan we can easily do that. If we need to get to the indication or instructional sticker, informational sticker, we can do that as well.
Also removing this panel allows us to change out the filter right here, which is removable, replaceable and cleanable. The filter just snaps back into place. On the front of the unit we have our push buttons which allows us to operate the light and the fan. So those are located right here. It's a two wire design.
We have our black wire, which is positive power. White wire is our negative or ground wire. On the back, it does have the area right here for the exterior venting. Exterior wall vents are sold separately. We have a really nice black body with the black mirror deco face plate, which is this portion right here.
Mounting hardware is included. It's CSA certified.A few measurements I want to mention for you real quick. I measured edge to edge going straight across the unit and I got a measurement of about 23 and a half inches long. The height measurement, so when it's actually, you know like it would be installed from bottom to top, which is this portion back here, that has a height measurement of four and three quarter inches. And the overall depth, that's from the very front to the very back, including this collar right here, it's about 17 and three quarter inches deep. Just measuring from this corner back to this corner is about 16 and five eights to 16 and three quarter inches. This area right here, I'm going to give you the approximate measurements for that. It's about 10 inches by three and one quarter. And the collar depth is about one inch.Rating voltage is 12 volt DC. Rating power overall is 12 watts. LED is one watt. Fan capacity is 100 CFM, that's cubic feet per minute of air flow. Internal wire temperature rating is 221 degrees Fahrenheit or 105 degrees Celsius, and then the noise as less than 52 decibels.That's going to do it for today's look at the Furrion vented range hood with a 12 volt fan. Again, this measures 23 and a half inches, side to side.

The previous hood was bulky and intrusive, This hood is subtle and more compact with a more efficient fan and better lighting. Don't know if will improve my stove top cooking, I'll find out soon.
FANTASTIC PRODUCT...Hate the standard range vents that comes with rv's...you cant even cook and flip pancakes without hitting the vent. This furrion vent at etrailer is a perfect replacement...super fast shipping....thank you etrailer...
Packaging was terrible. Showed up slightly dented but not worth the return hastle. The exhaust vent was broken (because of packing) but not using it anyway so again, not worth replacing. It is only $100 so didn’t expect much. It’s definitely simple. On the plus side, it’s the right size, shape, and color. Looks decent from a foot + away.
Jenny N - 03/09/2022This replaced my existing unit in an of camper. Light is perfect. Fan is not too loud. Nice finish. Low profile gives more room to get at my spice rack directly behind and above the stove. The way the underside is sloped though, the effectiveness of pulling fumes out is probably not that great. Meaning the fumes from the stove just roll up and over the front. There would have to be a lip on extending down from the front to capture the fumes but then that defeats the purpose of the low profile design. Comparing it to another unit I got that was a total piece of crap and sent back, I would say it is probably one of the best units out there.
We love it! Really opens up the space above the stove. Works great, bright light and good fit!

Really love the low profile of this hood. 2 wires, 4 screws and 5 minutes later it was up. The vent hole lined up nicely with the existing one in the wall.
Stylish and well made, with all of the wiring neatly harnessed and tied off securely. The removable panel makes this the easiest to clean vent hood I've ever owned. (Household vents included!)
