RV Sealant - Non-Sag vs Self-Leveling
The kind of sealant you apply to your RV is important. To determine the type of sealant you need for your application, you will want to consider what it is you are sealing and where it is on your RV.
Self-leveling sealant is designed to level out as you apply it. The thick liquid slowly flows into a level position as gravity takes effect. This is particularly useful when sealing flat surfaces, like around a roof vent, AC, or skylight. As you apply the sealant, gravity will cause it to settle into an even line, giving you a clean, low-profile look.
Non-sag sealant is designed to retain its shape as you apply it. The consistency of the liquid is thick but malleable enough to be easily applied without causing sagging or slumping. This is useful when sealing vertical surfaces, such as the edges of a wall, window, or vent. As you apply the sealant, it will harden just enough to keep the liquid from drooping, giving you a clean, even look.

Seal the skylights, vents, and other horizontal surfaces of your RV roof with this self-leveling sealant. Remains flexible for RV travel. This was a great lap sealant at one point but doesn't flow out nice like it once did.
The box arrived with both tubes of sealant rolling around loosely inside. The ends of the cardboard tubes are compressed in, one of the long application tubes is bent way over, and the other tube has sealant leaking out. I hope I can use the tubes of sealant if they are not dried out or the tubes holds up well enough to get the material out without a blowout. I have had 100% great products and service with etrailer but this time I am a bit disappointed in the packing of the product.
This product was once my go to for lap sealant but doesn't flow out like it once did.
Service was fantastic. Amy walked me through a change to my order and saved me having to place a second order, saved me extra shipping charges and was able to expedite the whole order. It was so great to have a real person to talk to and understand. Thank you Amy.
Excellent product. Self leveling applied easy-to-use
I used this when replacing a vent fan in my RV. I ran out before making it around the fan so I ran to the local RV store and picked up a competing product (Dicor). When applied side-by-side it became very clear that this product is far inferior to the more popular product made by Dicor. The LaSalle Bristol XTRM went on just fine, but didn’t really spread and level out the way it should so it left a few gaps and left me questioning if it made a good seal. You can see in the photos I attached that it somewhat kept its shape as opposed to spreading out like it should. Spend a few dollars more and get the superior product. Weather was perfect at about 75 degrees so that wasn’t a factor.
Fast service - received items in 3 days - thank you e-trailer
Worked as advertised! Used it to install vent covers where I had to cut away the existing sealant.
This stuff goes on thick and works wonders!! Must have for anyone with a RV or Travel Trailer
This was thicker and more difficult to apply than I had anticipated. That said, I do think it worked ok to caulk around the refrigerator vent on an old camper trailer I have. It was an unusually cold day when I applied it so that may have contributed to my difficulties.
Great product. Thanks Bob and your crew for the install of this product and the video you made. Have not had any problems with leaks or it coming loose.
Sealant works good for roofs
Replaced a vent and moved a vent. The sealent holds and levels nicely, there are no water dams. The water flows away. Would have pictures but cover and snow.
There were. Some parts missing from the original order, but it was resolved with a couple of phone calls.
I did a lot of research and settled on installing a PVC membrane. etrailer made the research and decision process simple and efficient. I really like the videos they have on the product page, it helped with making the decision. I just received the product and waiting for the rain to break and I will install it.

Very easy to work with. One of the best customer service out there.
The products arrived in perfect shape!
My husband grabbed them and ran out the door with them. He now has 3 new slide toppers in place on the fifth wheel, all sealed up weather tight!
Thank you for the video's showing how to install as well as the products necessary for installation!
