Drop-In Design
This sink has a top-mounted, drop-in design. Drop-in (or self-rimming) sinks are generally quicker and easier to install than undermount sinks, and they can be installed into any countertop material. They also have a lip on the perimeter, so that once the sink is installed, the weight of the sink and its contents are transferred over to the surrounding countertop. This better supports and secures the sink, whereas undermount sinks might fall if not installed properly. In addition, because all parts of drop-in sinks are visible, they are incredibly easy to clean.
Installation
This sink replaces or upgrades your existing bathroom sink. If not replacing an existing sink, a hole 1/4" smaller than the overall length and width of the sink must be cut in the counter top. Once the hole has been made, the sink just drops into place. Brackets and hardware are included to secure the sink to the counter. The use of silicone sealant (sold separately) is recommended.

After one year the unit is still doing great! It withstood a Mihigan winter with protection only inside an unheated storage shed. I would recommend this unit.

The sink is an exact replacement for my old one, minus the cracks of course! The price was fantastic and the delivery quick. I haven’t installed it yet but it looks to be an easy, quick install. My apologies for the blanket in the photo!

- Cutout Dimensions for LaSalle Bristol Oval Lavatory SinkThe LaSalle Bristol Oval Lavatory Sink # 34416156PPA is not designed as a pedestal sink, it is meant to be used in a RV's bathroom and will need a cutout of 13-1/2" by 10-1/8" in order to mount.
