Hello, neighbors, Steven here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking together at our Specialty Recreation universal replacement RV skylight for a 22 X 34 inch rough-opening cutout. It's gonna be in a nice smoke color. And as far as some overall dimensions, so outside-to-outside, overall I got 37 3/4 by 25 1/2, overall side-to-side, and as you can see when I got it like this, you can kinda see me through there. It's a nice smoke color and it is a polycarbonate UV-resistant and impact-resistant construction, so it can take a lot of abuse (skylight ratting) and pop back out to its original shape. The smoke color is gonna help tame the bright lights and reduce UV transmissions.
It's gonna be great for maybe replacing a damaged or worn skylight on your RV, camper, or maybe even enclosed trailer. Now as far as an installation, it's pretty simple. You've got pre-drilled holes all the way around this. I do recommend that you use some screws that you would find locally. They are not included with this kit.
You do, however, get an included SR140 and this is a nice sealant that works with polycarbonate. Do not use any self-leveling sealants that are out there as they do not work with polycarbonate skylights, and they could damage due the chemicals that are in them. So, again, use the included installation sealant. You got a nice one-year warranty, made right here in the US. Again, folks, this is the 22 X by 34 inch rough-opening cutout in smoke color.

Includes sealant for installation.Fortunately the skylight its self was not damaged. The packaging was ripped open and the skylight exposed. I would say the handlers were to rough but also more protection in the packaging would have helped.

I received my new skylight. the box was damaged but the skylight was in good condition. I did not receive installation instructions nor did I receive sealant as noted in the product description these items should have come with the skylight
Skylight was tall enough to fit. The supplied caulk was very thick and required a lot of effort to squeeze out. Was also difficult to level.
Etrailer was the only supplier who said not to use self leveling?
The Specialty Recreation skylight worked well.
it fit the hole in my roof though it was a bit bigger than the original one that came with the motorhome. I could not find one the exact same size. It is a replacement for one that we had above our shower in the restroom.
We are hoping that it lasts a good long time. Though it is very thin and did not want to stay flat against the roof even using all of the screws it still wants to pop up between the screws. The caulking that came with it is very difficult to use as it is very sticky (except when you want it to be) and when i tried to spread it with a small joint knife it leaves long strings of caulking that get everywhere. It is not self leveling like the Dicor that I use for everything else on the roof so it does not lay down flat, I have large bumps over each screw instead of a nice smooth surface. Trying to work the caulking is a nightmare. I did order the installation kit as well. This gave me the screws and an additional tube of the caulk, which i needed to finish the project.
The sky light is terrific but the sealant was the biggest problem, you couldn’t put a drop on a screw and go to the next screw without leaving a trail of sealant going from screw to screw.
I have a curved roof and I had to screw the sky light down a little bit at a time to get the sky light snug to the curved roof. Be aware!
Its a matching skylight for my Lance RV, looks good arrived on time and it came with the sealant.

These skylights were an exact replacement for the ones in my 2018 Lance 2285 travel trailer. Appeared to be OEM quality and thickness. They fit perfectly in the same spot. The screw holes lined up differently but I liked having the new holes.
The skylight is the perfect size and was easy to install!
I just took it out of the box.so far so good.
The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of the low price fades away.
Just arrived ill install the items hopefully this weekend and will let you know hoh it goes
