Hey, everybody, Jarrod at etrailer.com. Today, I want to take a look at the Steele Rubber Products Press-In slide-out seal two-inch width by 60-foot length. Now this is used to prevent water from leaking onto you, and pests from gaining access to the slide-out of your RV. It replaces the seal originally found on cable-operated slide-out systems. And those are commonly found on Forest River and Keystone brand RVs. Now the wiper seal will flex in or out, depending upon how the slide is moving, and it's easy to install by simply pressing onto the existing track located on the RV frame surrounding the slide-out, the mallet or the tucking tool may aid in installation, and that is sold separately.
We use scissors to trim off the extra seal, if there's any left over, and it's constructed of an EPDM rubber. It will not shrink, crack or fade over time. Again, as I said, the dimensions are that 60-foot length, and the width is those two inches. Now the part here that presses onto the track, it measures at three quarters inch, as well. This rubber seal is highly wear and weather-resistant and it's resistant to UV exposure.
